Ha! I touch my CD collection so rarely that alphabetical order doesn’t matter to me… but my bookcase is alphabetised, & whenever people try to put a book back in the wrong place they get a LOOK. Some people even ask me what order they’re in, AFTER I tell them it’s alphabetical! Obviously alphabetical by author! JEEEEEZ. (Virgo alert, Virgo alert.)
in ref to emma, my cds are alphabetical by artist and my mix cds are by date burned. anddd everything else that can humanly be organized by color or title is. laugh it’s a creepy habit!
(this is so not right, too, i’m a libra. what.)
that’s a cute idea~ probably explains why you have great outfits. :D
i organize my clothes by color & type (tee, long sleeved, etc.)
it’s the one thing in the world i need to be in a certain way – at one point i even made up a little map of how things were to be placed ________
Lyraethe — I am a Hipster PDA convert/obsessive. Best thing ever. I have a Moleskine for daily stuff but I have a pile of clipped index cards full of lists (things to write about, things I want, places to visit etc.).
when i was just a wee tot i would draw floor plans of my room when i wanted to move my furniture around.
now i use computer programs (Visio is GREAT for such things)!
i’m a major interior design/home organization geek.
hahah…yes. SCALE...
not a concept grade schoolers take into account most times.
it’s funny, because every time i move (which is just about yearly) i draw out my furniture arrangement according to the floor plans of my new apartment. now i actually measure!!!!
i’m just a wee bit OCPD (not quite as bad as OCD).
hopefully my anal retentive nature will aid me in my career as a professional organizer…

It is a friend of my sisters, the website is super cute and they do all sorts of beautiful leather bags & funky jewellery.. some stockists in Oz
Um, I mentally put together my daily outfit as I lie in bed in the morning. I think this is called procrastinating rather than organising, however. I quite love having books on my shelf in no particular order and stumbling upon a book about Walls right next to A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Same goes for CDs. Kelis right next door to Bebel Gilberto? No sweat. I like a rambling browse. BUT, I am a big dork about keeping photos in chronological order. Now that is a must!
Lol!! omg gala that is just so adorable! Two points up for you lol (not that you needed them, i think ure awesome) i love the feel good effects of your page =)Have a great day
luv laila x
i do this too … i thought everyone atleast planed their outfit the night before and left it out?
Am I the only one who has their whole wardorbe organise in order of type (i.e. pants tops dresses) then color/pattern (Never mix the stripe-y with the solids – good lord!) and then lenght… ?
Wow re-reading that makes me ashamed of myself.
:O serious? I thought I was crazy when I started making a habit of taking detailed notes describing outfits I saw in the Vivienne Westwood website, haha!
I lay in bed at night and plan out outfits in my head.. sometimes I even get so curious as to whether or not something wuold work, I get up and lay it out!
I also can’t stand having things on the floor of my closet. :O

"This really was an excellent installment and it really changed the way I view the law of attraction." -- V.
I keep all of my dvds in alphabetical order.
My cds are in alphabetical order depending on if they’re a “Group”, “Solo Artist”, “Compilation”, “Soundtrack”, “Single” or “Burn”.
Now that’s geeky :)

ps. your drawing is cute <3
And the first thing that I thought was that you should post that index card to Postsecret.com and see if it gets posted online!
It’s also rather reminiscent of 43 Folder’s Hipster PDA.

I just write clothing combos on a bit of paper and stick it inside my wardrobe. No index cards or drawing.
But (gasp!) doesn’t everyone do this??
;-)
i am glad to see i am not the only one who alphabetizes their cd collection. i would do the dvd’s too, but they are in order of type of movie.

I have a strange attitude to organisation – either EVERYTHING has to be put away perfectly (organised by type/colour etc) or there is mess everywhere.
I’m also a compulsive list writer, and have a habit of losing lists when I most need them :)

I color code my notes for university (I study ancient greek), I have a system (*blushing*)
I also write down descriptions of outfits I’m planning to wear. I’m a geek:D
It was really fun to read this btw

:O serious? I thought I was crazy when I started making a habit of taking detailed notes describing outfits I saw in the Vivienne Westwood website, haha!
When I was, like, 10 or something, I made a paper doll of myself and all the clothes I had and I’d plan my outfits that way.
Even “laminated” all the pieces with sticky-tape!
I so need to start doing this.
