This is just a short admin post to say I recently created Gala’s Guide To Asking Questions!
Just like I have a commenting policy, I’ve also written a guideline for people who want my advice on various subjects. Not the most interesting thing, I admit, but the amount of inquiries I receive on topics I know nothing about are quite high — so I view this as a time-saving manoeuvre for everyone involved!
Hope you enjoy it, or at least find it slightly entertaining/informative! I’ll be linking it from other pages on the site soon.

Good idea to have, a Guide to Asking Questions. Because I think we all run to you Gala because it’s like you’re the marvy older sister we all wish we had.

Thanks ;D I do love to help people but as much as I would loooove to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, I just don’t! & I mean… if I don’t know the answer, either of us could Google it & find the same solution. Know what I mean? So I just wanted to clarify it a bit! I hope it doesn’t come across as mean or anything, eep!
i think this guide was a necessary evil since you’re popularity has grown exponentially…and you seem to know so much (or you’re rather good at taking a bit of knowledge and researching the hell out of it!).
the points you made were good ones; and more importantly, i think, very succinct. have no fear, we understand your need for this. big ups to gala darling :)

Aw… thats just amazing that you get asked sooo many varied questions!! :) Your website must really be reaching lots of people!! (Yay for Gala!) Great idea though; I am always a fan of outlining things, especially on the internet. And I must tell you: it was the nicest, most gently written “this is what I can or can’t do” list ever. :)

I don’t think it comes across as mean at all! To me, it seems like you really thought about the way you could use your time most efficiently, so you can help as many people as you can in a significant way. Very organized and professional.
