My mom made me read this book when I was 16.. I remember looking at it with little Nubby! He was high on drugs… until he discovered you don’t have to be that way to understand. I love to be a part of this universe, and to finally truly understand it makes me want to read the book again!
I realise that its not exactly post related but it is in my mind Gala related.
Today Earth Day was celebrated in Washington DC and as an Australian passing through I was glad to see other countries doing their part. I was able to stay for a little while and listening to a few of the speakers, including Motorola releasing a mobile phone made out of recycled water bottles. In fact you can go to their website and arrange to send your water bottles to them (I presume this is a US only thing). Standing in front of Parliament house the Earth Day stage even showed off Houston drummers recycling water dispenser bottles as drums.
I would like to encourage all those people who attended to make the most of the information they now have and hope that people world wide will celebrate Earth Day every day of the year by remembering that everything is reuseable, even if you’re not the one to reuse it.
I LOVE this. Super inspiring and beautifully written. Thanks for posting it. :)
