On Monday night, I was part of a top secret Style Coalition project at DEX Studios. I can’t tell you what it was all about yet, but I can show you some behind-the-scenes shots to tide you over!

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

MEGA smooches, kisses, love & undying adoration to Tarina Tarantino for letting me borrow it! I really didn’t want to take it back, it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. Would be bellissimo to wear grocery shopping, walking the dog or ice-skating… Don’t you think?

  2. AH! I had been waiting to see this feathered headdress, and it did not disappoint!! I would wear it while ice-skating AND roller skating! Basically, I would wear it everywhere, except for the shower…maybe.

  4. Your eye makeup is what caught my attention. It made your eyes so obscenely blue and gorgeous it almost hurts to look at them. Of course, you always look beautiful. Can’t wait to find out about this top secret project.

  30. OMG we saw that headdress while walking along in NYC just last week! I was lucky enough to wear a borrowed feather headdress as well at the Hayden Harnett store AND I talked about wearing it grocery shopping. HA!

  33. Yes! ‘tis the season to be Headdress-ed!

    It is definitely in the air & fun & an attention-grabber! as was MAJOR proof for me at a Winter Palace FUR party on Saturday. A friend saw it AND saw ME in it! haha, so it was a case of VOILA! The Last of the Mohicans HAS arrived! LOL
    It had major FEATHERS atop & around, FUR hanging from the sides & fabulous Zulu beading! I HAD NO IDEA the attention I would garner & I didn’t have to do a THING....except to obviously be resplendent in my fabulous HEAD-CANDY [mmmmm and delicious it was!] wink So much fun!

    This is my 1st comment, so HI GALA! Came across an article on you in Next magazine (not my usual choice, but we get all sorts of out-of-dates free from my aunty’s shop) & you struck something with me so I logged onto your blog too. Wowwww. I’ve been reading through heaps of your archives.

    I know this sounds super-cheesy, but I just wanted to say thankyou so so so much. I’d hit a really intense low just before I discovered iCiNG. I’m struggling with OCPD, and life has come to somewhat of a screaming halt at the moment. (Because of an inability to deal with that, and a whole host of other things). But, somehow, when none of that other ‘happy’ stuff that is in abundance everywhere did, you made me happy. Your words are so real, and down-to-earth, and so are you. I love that you’re not some clone, you’re happy, secure, have your OWN views, attitudeeeee baby, and a freakin’ awesome sense of style ;] Honestly, I just could never make myself happy. But I HAVE. Your blog was the tool, but I have made MYSELF happy. It takes work at first, yes. But I have a book of quotes, and fun things (like items off your sad trombone list) to pick me back up. I’ve NEVER felt this good. Somehow, you’ve just hit something in me that noone else, even therapists, could. Thank you so so so much.

    Ooooh ooohh and my friend has met you!! She texted me about cupcakes, and I told her that my ‘inspirational-lady’ is obsessed with them. When she asked who that may be, and I told her your name, guess what the response was? “Oh, I met her, she’s cuteee!” She’s in Wellington, and said you were friends with some of her mates, and you ended up at some of the same gigs. But apparently this was a lonnnggg time ago, and thinks it veryyy unlikely you’d remember her. Regardless though, that made me so excited!

    Thanks for the EFT articles too. I’m going to try my first ‘proper’ session tonight. Very soon actually. SO excited. Even after just following along for that single round with you in your demo vid I felt something! I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but def. something!

    Anywayyy, I’m sorry to inundate your beautiful photograph posting with my ramblings. I just had to let you know that you have a new reader, & that you have quite possibly changed her entire outlook on life.
