Apropos of the Joy Junket Manifesto: NOT everywhere is a good place for a party… I once got stuck in my apartment building’s elevator for an hour because I danced in it. True story. Not to burst any bubbles, I just thought it was too funny not to share.

Hi! I’m a long time lurker but I just had to comment and say that in the “the power of colour” link, that first picture, the crazy knitted colour explosion, was made by an instructor of mine at NSCAD; Toshiko Macadam. She is one of the most amazing people in the world, she makes those things by hand and they’re enormous. Shes also the sweetest lady ever. =)

Just wanted to say what a good idea it was to link about the most beautiful parts of NZ. The comments of that article really moved me, and I’m so not the most patriotic of young lasses! Sometimes you just need to see the beauty of your life through a stranger’s eyes to realise it.
It’s wonderful to be surrounded by such amazing beauty, and often we forget how privileged we are to have a place in such a gorgeous country. I grew up in Muriwai by the beach, and I am very pleased such a stunning place got a mention.
All right, I’ll stop babbling on now! (Promise I don’t usually get this excited unless it’s about shoes)
