  2. The article about the Vogue interview terrified me!! But it is a good piece and I would love to work for a magazine someday.

I adore those themed Japanses restaurant. The Christian one scared me a little bit but the Alice in Wonderland one sounds fun.

    Kisses.

  3. No worries about the size – it’s all about the ride, eh? winkwinknudgenudge :]

I thought that link to the Vogue internship was incredibly fascinating. It’s interesting to see the other side of the ‘glamorous’ lifestyle. I bet it would be such a remarkable experience though, despite the slave-laboring.

  4. I’d be pretty happy if I got this for a coin in an airport :)

1970s JC Penney is such a childhood blast for me !!! I miss terry-towling fashions on men. Ha ha. And one of those models is totally channeling Pierce Brosnan as Remmington Steele. So funny.

Vogue is depressing. Another damned fine reason to freelance.

Ciao, and have a great weekend. The weather is beautiful :)

  6. Ariel — Ahh, well, it’s all scripted, so that’s probably why ;D

  7. oh my goodness… are we at the end of the week already?! where has the time gone? lol. I always look forward to your weekly carousel of links—and you’ve got some great ones this week! I had a good laugh over the 1970s catalog, and am off to read the Steve Pavlina articles next… thanks so much for continuing to inspire and encourage us through your blog, Gala! :)

  10. I LOVE thinksimplenow! Thank you for introducing me to it! :)
(and of course, the DLM article always takes a large piece of the cake)

Lately I’ve been looking up hilarious plot summaries for French movies on www.allocine.fr and it’s been very amusing! Things about a teenage boy being seduced (away from his best friend and from his crush) by a PHONE. I don’t know about you, but I just love France.

  11. i’ve been to many themed restaurants in tokyo. my favorite is christon’s cafe, which is really pretty cool. they have two different locations with different themes, but my favorite is the one in shibuya, which has this huge altar that was apparently from some old european church! super scary!

i also like this samurai restaurant that i went to. the samurais run and hop around and appear from the ceiling to pass us our drinks. it was so damn hilarious.

and the jail restaurant was just weird and freaked me out. eek!

  12. I red the Vogue article yesterday, is horrible! There is now ethical-work sense in there (is she a slave or what? they seem to ignore her dignity!)Is just aweful o_o
