  5. I’ve been DYING to see this movie! I love Audrey Tautou, and I’ve been waiting for her to be in a movie that was really worthy of her (besides Amelie, of course). This looks like it! Also, Coco Chanel seems like a fascinating person…I’m looking forward to seeing it now!

  8. Oh I loved this film so much. It was so different to what I was expecting…. I have a new-found respect and admiration for Chanel – and every time I walk past the Collins St boutique I can’t help but smile and think of her humble beginnings.

  10. Agh, I can’t believe I still haven’t seen this film – I adore Coco and Chanel, of course. She was, and continues to be (amazingly) and arbiter of fashion. A Chanel purse and tweed blazer would be amazing! Must go see it this weekend!

  11. Totally unrelated to this post, but I was just checking out your Amazon wishlist (yeah, okay, that did sound slightly stalker-ish) and I realized you wished for I’m with the band and Let’s spend the night together, by Pamela des Barres. Have you got them/read them already? I strongly recommend you do, because they are just incredible. Miss Pam is my ultimate life inspiration, always so free-spirited and amazing. Plus, she got to date Jim Morrison, Jimmy Page and Keith Moon, and that just can’t be bad.

  12. Miss Sofia, you are very right Miss Des Barres’ books are fabulous, I bought them a while ago and they are currently circulating all my friends! In the intro it says something along the lines of “You’ll read this and wish it was your life” – so true!
P.s. off to check out the Chanel article now, cheers Gala
