Daily outfit

<3 New headband from Mimco (I ADORE)
<3 Silk dress by Kate Sylvester
<3 Blue cardigan from Country Road
<3 Black leggings (Supre!)
<3 Pearls around ye ankles
<3 Manolo Blahnik high heels

I feel rather glamorous though I must admit that it took me a long time to find something which coordinated with the new headband. Blue is a tricky colour to match. I think I need a midnight blue overdyed vintage slip to wear with it in summer…

  7. WOW that headband is a piece of art! Looks fantastic! Tis a little 1920s flapper.
    Big love to the supre black tights, my mama gave me a pair when I was back in Australia last New Years and they are still in good condition despite me wearing them to death, good qual! Impressed.

    I stumbled across these earrings the other day and they reminded me of the Edie Sedgwick post you did a while back and while they may not be in your price range (they’re certainly not in mine), I thought they were cool and they reminded me of you. They’re called Edie earrings and are at shopbop under their designer boutique under the designer Erickson Beamon. Sorry I couldn’t post the link to them, it didn’t seem to like it when I tried to post the link.

    Anyway, thought you’d find them neat! (if you can find them…)

  9. i love this – the colour combination, the standout accessory (obviously the headband), the manolos.

    except one tiny thing. i know how comfortable leggings are & how useful they are in keeping warm in the cold, but just noooo. :( the outfit is perfection in its glamour otherwise.

    It’s so adorable, I just want to drool! It reminds me of certain chocolate decorations you’d put on a cake, like a chocolate fan!

  16. The first thing that came to my mind when iCiNG opened and I saw your head was FLAMENCO. The headband has a spanish feel to it. I love the dress, looks like soething I’ll wear during the summer to go out with my girlfriends or boyfriend. The pearls around your ankles look gorgeous.

  40. This is one of those outfits that makes me really envious of all the cool stuff you guys get in Australia… I haven’t seen anything like that headband in the states, and I want, I want!

    The thing that really pulls it together, though, is that the headband is almost exactly the same shade of blue as one of the more subtle and backgroundy blues in the dress. If the headband were a paler blue to match with the flowers themselves, it wouldn’t look nearly as cool.

    Anytime I’m going for a matchy-but-not-too-matchy look, I pull from the background or a less noticeable color — works every time!
