<3 Floral print skirt from H&M (it is exactly what I have been looking for, & I adore it!)
<3 New shoes from Alexander McQueen (GASP)
<3 Handbag from Toys ‘R’ Us! (Jess convinced me to buy it — it is covered in purple & silver holographic butterflies & I love it in all its hilariousness!)

Daily outfit

I look really tanned in these pictures but I think it’s just the light. I have been rigorously applying sunscreen every day, never fear!

So… today I had a religious experience at Bergdorf Goodman. Firstly, they are having an epic shoe sale. Secondly, their floor staff are exceptional. Thirdly, oh my god I just bought the most beautiful pair of shoes I’ve ever seen!

I am completely smitten. Oh, my heart. Hot pink soles! Beautiful corset-esque laces! Panels of patent leather! SWOON!

  12. Omigosh, those shoes truly are fabulous! I love your outfit, but especially the handbag. I’m tiny, so I’m always going around and buying headbands and shoes and bags that really were made for someone much younger than me. But they make such adorable things for kids these days, who can pass them up? I got the cutest rainboots from the kids dept. just last year, and of course no one I knew had them.

    Juls — Pretty high! I don’t have a ruler or measuring tape here but when I press my hand along the heel, it measures from the end of my little finger to just before my wrist.

  24. Ok – I’ll be honest and say the shoes don’t make me swoon – but they’re surely a work of art. I’d not wanna wear them: I’d just wanna put them somewhere to look at them and wonder how someone came up with the idea!

    Best thing about them is the pink sole. That is gorgeous.

    I do wanna know tho’: how easy are they to walk in? me thinks the corset-bit would be quite effective at making you feel very secure in them?

    Vixxie — I just spent 4 consecutive days shopping with my friend who was in town, so I picked up a few things! Haha! I haven’t actually done a lot of shopping, apart from that. Haven’t really felt the need, I guess. But it is interesting not having everything I normally do, it means I have to pare my look back. I miss all my crazy accessories but I think I’m evolving without them!

    Lately, I’ve been really into clothes that benefit a social cause— like green/organic clothing, raising money for breast cancer, etc. There’s this cool site www.bom411.com/ where you can design logos for hoodies and it benefits an org fighting relationship drama and violence. Does anyone know of anything else like this? I’m always on the lookout.

  122. I am beyond words for your shoes. They are so beautiful. I worry I’d buy them and place them somewhere in my house as a work of art instead of actually wearing them!

    Also, I totally understand the Toys R Us bag. I was just lusting over the two purses from Disney that my co-workers daughters (4 and 5.5 years old) got at HALF price! They are so cute and the perfect size and shape for summer. Those girls have the best fashion sense already.
