how do you not have blue dye all over your white shirt, though? for up to 2 months after doing my hair purple i was still sleeping with a towel on my pillow because it ran. (that was special effects deep purple. i still have the same sort of issue with sfx atomic pink.)

Where do you find such good cowboy boots?! I have one pair but they were from an op-shop and a complete chance find.
Any suggestions of where to look? I don’t live in Melbourne, but I mean what types of shop to look in.

I used to get my SFX dye from Wildilocks here in Perth for ages. The gals do some fantastic work – certainly did capture a niche market.
Did you get the synthetic or human hair? I love extensions. I had very long black extensions at the front of my hair, had them taken out about 6 weeks ago and now my hair has grown to where the extensions where! My mop is a pretty good grower :)

Jem — Mine are from a generic shoe store in New Zealand. In a mall, even! So I don’t really have any suggestions other than perhaps “look in unlikely places”! ;D

When I had extensions, I went from a bob to the middle of my back. I liked it at first, but I disliked having to wear my hair a certain way to hide the knots, and not being able to use heat on them. Lukewarm showers suck.
How long did it take? Mine took 2 hours, I think. Maybe longer. By the end, I was ready to scream from all the pulling on my hair. A stiff drink beforehand would’ve been nice…
