Daily Outfit

I told you to buy an equestrian hat & where would we be if I didn’t lead by example?!

I wore this outfit to go & have a hair consultation (long hair to come on the 6th of August, YES!), browse some stores, buy some books & eat a damn good salad. On my way home I got caught in the rain — hence the speckles on the hat! It did keep my face dry, though!

How immensely rad are my new things?! This bag is vegan (holla! & yes I appreciate how bizarre that is given I am posing beneath a huge SKULL), & I LOVE IT. It’s a great size & I love carrying it on my forearm, it makes me feel very Victoria Beckham! (It can be folded & worn on the shoulder with the chains but carrying it on my forearm is a total novelty to me right now.) I love the style, too — it is like a less obvious design by Thomas Wylde (lots of chains, skulls, heavy leather, etc.) The necklace is probably the least subtle thing I own, & I have wanted one forever. & the bag candy just makes me happy — it makes my bag less rock chic & more… um… sparkly. (Deep, I know.)

  45. Limespark — Thank you! I love the skull too. There is a lot of taxidermy in this house. That skull, a deer & a jackalope! There are also at least two crows…

    Rosie — They’re actually not hard to walk in at all. They get painful after a while but they’re not hard to walk in. I almost died going down the stairs in some stilettos the other day though :P Thankfully I always hold a handrail when traversing a staircase in heels!

    Amy — I can’t wait either! Glad you share my excitement, hee. I don’t really have a lot more detail to give. Strawberry is a chain in the U.S.A. & they mostly sell kinda cheap stuff — I have never bought any clothes from there because the store is so messy I can’t stand it, but their shoe selection can be pretty great. Also, CHEAP! I think those ankle boots were about $60.

    Nadine — Hahahaha glad you like my boobies because someone commenting below you didn’t! Oh well you can’t please everyone… ;D

    Miss Alyss — I use FAT HAIR by Samy which is vegan & quite lovely. My hair is healthy in places but extremely damaged in others — it’s so dry that I can tease it up & not even need to use hairspray. But I recolour my hair about once a month on average. I just re-did it the other day!

    Lulu Bee — YAY equestrian revolution! We want photos! Oh & my secret? Photoshop. Hahah. No I’m drinking a lot of water & using a good cleanser (MD Forte III) & using mineral foundation which I am CONVINCED is the reason my skin is so good at the moment.

    Tiffany — Me too baby, me too! A life without accessories is a life half-lived!

It was actually a very dreary day so the photos came out pretty dark, I had to do a lot of tweaking in Photoshop to make them brighter/more dynamic. & also my camera kept focussing on the wrong thing, I think there might be dust in it. Grrrrr! But nope, same old same old… Maybe I’m just getting better at this whole thing ;D

    squiggle — Vegan just means non-leather, I actually don’t know what this bag is made of but it’s a GREAT leather substitute, you wouldn’t know by touching it. & nope, I’m not, but I like to buy/eat things that are :>

    Annie — Haha, yes, I’m sticking to pink. I really do love it & I really do think it suits me. I can’t think of another colour I’d prefer to be, not to mention, stripping the pink out of this would be… awful!

    Nadia — Hmm, tips for pulling off an equestrian hat? You just have to wear it with confidence & make your outfit a bit more rigid in style to pull it all together. It wouldn’t work so well with a flowing dress — it really needs ankle boots, a high waist & a belt. Or at least that’s what I think!

    Beth — Oh happy advance birthday to you! It’s definitely a present to both of us ;D Oh & I know, those iPhone covers are totally dangerous. We both need them, it’s true.
