Daily Outfit -- 24th April 2007
[ 24 April 2007 ]

Weird clothes for weird kids.
Royal blue cardigan from Country Road
Polka-dot bra from Elle Macpherson
Pants by Laurie Foon (rolled up because of the heat)
Labyrinth necklace from Paraphernalia (how cute is that?!)
Strand of pearls, knotted
Black stacked-heel slingbacks
Yesterday we spent thousands of dollars at Starfish (they stock Laurie Foon, who I LOVE). The pants are one item. More to come!

Super-love & cupcakes,

Oh. My. God. Thank you so much for that Paraphernalia link. I just freaked out over the magpie necklace. The snail is really amazing, too, as well as all of the other birds. Will be making a purchase as soon as I can decide on which one to get!! Ack, I love birds so much!!
Sorry, I’m totally spazzing right now. :)
Gala,
Please don’t hate me for this comment but it’s going to be very male sounding…
You have got such a fantastic rack!
Sarah — I know, isn’t their stuff AMAZING? The girl who runs the company, Vanda, is fantastic, she’s super-nice & really cool. I know her shop is going to be closed from the 27th of April to the 27th of May so I suggest buying quickly!
Robin — Hahahahah! Thanks ;> I went & bought new bras when I was in Wellington & had them properly fitted, so I’m sure that has something to do with how good they look!
You look fantastic – pearl necklace again! LOOK at that midriff and cleavage, you gorgeous sexy bad-arse.
You look like a cool college student
Nadine — Thanks! The pearls are my new thing. I’m trying to wear them with things that are a bit “off”, so I don’t look like a right-wing political candidate… ;>
[a} — Is that a good thing?! When I was at primary school I had to wear a sweater the same colour as my new cardigan…
Hee! I every girl I know owns that bra. I own two because it makes me happy. Although mine are the demi-cup sheer kind. I was also thinking of buying that cardigan! Howeevr the sleeves bothered me a little. How is it in everyday life?
Indra — It’s the best bra ever! The cardigan is fantastic, I actually really like the sleeves. I thought it was weird-looking before I tried it on but now I really like it. The sleeves are also made for perfect hitching-above-the-elbow-ness, which I always do!
I pretty much wear all Elle Macpherson underwear, I have this thing where I hate any kind of padding, even the lightest kind, in bras, and I find Elle’s are one of the few brands that makes sheer or thin material that isn’t uncomfortable and looks good.
I roll my sleeves up too! I like my forearmd free! But all my sleeves have a kind of a accordion effect now when they’re hanging, they’re so used to being rolled up!
Oh, I like the padding. Good for cold/windy days!

My best friend came to me online today and told me to check your website. She had told me about it a couple of months ago when I broke up with my girlfriend, because you wrote an awesome text on how to deal with the end of long relationships. Ever since that I’ve grown to like your website a lot ^^. Anyways, today she linked me the main page and asked me “See if you recognize anything on those photos”. No sooner had I looked at them than I noticed your paraphernalia necklace! She’s the one who makes them. I stood with my mouth open in surprise looking at your frontpage :D It’s a small world afterall!.
Ahh that’s so cute! Vanda, right? I emailed her to say THANK YOU today but if you want to pass along my undying LOVE too it would be very welcome!
I love the way the internet connects people. I know I sound like a long-distance phonecall advertisement, but really, it is amazing & so valuable.
I LOVE that necklace! I actually ordered her bicycle riding children necklace the other day, I can not WAIT until it arrives!
That apartment looks amazing!
(and so do you) :)
Hey! I like your outfit. I keep having fashion dreams, last nights was that i had a label called “powerhungry” and we brought a range of t-shirts with
“I am not here to make friends” on it in giant letters.
Starfish is incredible. I finally found time to go shopping yesterday before I left Wellington and I found the most perfect coat there. But the 8 was too big and that was as small as it went. I = heartbroken.
Tess — Yay! You’ll love it, I am really impressed with the quality.
Davide — That is the best name for a label EVER. I’d kind of like a t-shirt with “Team Alienation” on it. Not because I am part of T.A. anymore, ‘cause I’m not, but as a nod to the past.
Amy — I bought a coat there with half-sleeves, was it that one? I’m glad you liked the store, even if the sizing wasn’t quite right for you! Did you have a good time in Wellington?
lovely outfit! Your website is fantastic by the way. xx
It was gray with red lining and a red tie. So pretty! I consoled myself by buying $350 jeans instead. I really really liked Wellington, and it was nice to meet you (even if I didn’t have anything to say!)
Thank you Lindsay!
Amy — Aw! I got one in the same fabric as the pants (above), with half-length puff sleeves… I love it, I’ll model it for everyone soon ;> What sort of jeans did you buy? It was great to meet you too, thanks for coming along! I was also of the regrettably quiet (& exceptionally tired) variety, so I understand all too well!
I went into Area 51 and told them what I was after and they pulled a pair off the shelf identical to what I had in my brain. They’re Sass & Bide and the most comfortable jeans ever!
