Dressing With The Essence Of Fairytales

hi
i seem to be pulled into visiting your website weekly and i would love to see you in a fantastic yellow babydoll style mini dress with some colour. i think your hair will pull it off (i also used to rock the ink for a few years) and i would like to see how you would make the outfit ocme together. but i think your doing a great job and i always have something to look at on your page mwah x cheers jayde
I can’t wear yellow, it makes me look like I have jaundice!
i covet that cardigan…
lol well i think you could hell rock an awsome yellow b/doll style top with bright red funky cuff bangles and huge black sunnies but true you do have pale skin. perfect for the bold red lips. and i love the pearls on your ankle thing ive noticed you’ve been wearing them for a bit. i love it.
Yay! It feels like a long time since there’s been a daily outfit photo. Even though it probably hasn’t really been that long! I second Gem. I, too, seriously covet that cardigan.
Oh, I forgot to mention. At school today, I saw a teacher wearing those Manolo Blahnik’s, and I stopped her and asked her if those were indeed the shoes and complimented her, and then instead of continuing my walking like a normal person, I went on to say, “Oh, my favorite blogger wears those all the time so that’s how I knew!”. She looked at me like I was a loony for some reason, but I got a strange satisfaction out of it hahaha.
Great outfit, as always. Those pearls and Manolos go together like PB & J.
Completely off blog entry topic, but regarding Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster: it is an amazing novel. Sort of like the Fast Food Nation for fashion, if that makes sense… definitely well worth the hardback. :)
Good choice :) I have that dress. And another colour besides :) I’ve heard that pale toned people should be slightly tanned and use a the lightest touch of gold- or bronze-shimmer to avoid the jaundiced look in yellows. I’m not pale, but maybe you could see if it works… It might not work with your hair highlighting the pinks in your skin I guess, but it would be hot when you are platinum or violet.
Aww gorgeous as alwaiz!!!
You wear the most perfect outfits and make
them look so effortless and i absolutly love
the cardigan!
xx strawberry kisses
I have a cardigan just like that one except in black! It’s one of my most favourite things ever ;)
And you pull off that bow tie so well!
This is totally random, but I had a dream that I met up with you and we had some wacky adventure. I remember you were really blunt in the dream, and really honest about something. I dunno…there was more to it, but now it’s all fuzzy.
But still, I woke up thinking, “Did I just dream I met Gala???”
lol.
LoL, Brittany! I had a dream with Gala in it too once. That’s what I get for reading her blog right before bed!
In mine she was going to college in California, and we were carpooling, and her car stopped (which had Idaho plates go figure) but she told me it was alright because she had international id.
strange. Glad I’m not the only one :)
Aiee! Vertigo!
You look so glamorous!! Not too dressed up, not too casual! :D I simply adore those lame leggings; I think the fact that they’re not super-shiny, but really glam is what does it. ;) Must think about procuring a pair for myself! Only question is: are they comfortable (I guess I mean: do they “breathe”)?
Oooh, saucy – nice dress! I was out for dinner with girls from dancing last night, telling them about how my bow-tie is now an internet celebrity :-)
Lovely Gala! The blue is hypnotic.
OMG! I love your site. Blue hair. Note to self: there are more than 3 haircolors.
I love AA’s clothes, but it’s so depressing to me that I look terribly washed out in their pretty, bright colors. I would kill to be able to wear neon pink and green and bright blue. When I was there today I bought the same hoodie dress you previously reviewed, I later realized in the same grey. I rather like the color! Though I see where you were coming from that it could look kind of dull (though it works with my complexion). I love the lame leggings…
Adding to the “Dreams About Gala” theme – I dreamed I was at her house and then a really tall skyscraper collapsed on top of it and I fell out the window and died. :(
My dreams suck.
Anyway, Miss GD, loving the royal blue! Oh, how I covet those leggings…...
hi gala. i bought like 5 different sequined bowties from patricia field’s store last month and wear them like hell too. hee hee.
anyway, i completed that denim collection i told you about. you can see them on my blog if you want. (and if you do let me know what you think!) thank you for your colorful photos!! they were so helpful for my inspiration board. yay!!

Gala, i was wondering, where do you place your camera when you take those photos?
Such beautiful colours. I love fuschia pink and royal blue together.
I love how these colours, as well as jewel purple are all in the shops here in England in time for autumn and winter.
I had such a fun time at the shops yesterday drooling over how stunning they were!
Lovin’ the shoes!
I love the shoes and the cardigan and the glasses and the bowtie and God I just love the whole outfit :]
There are SO many things i want from AA, but im too scared they wont fit how i want them too.

omg. that blue is sucha gorgeous shade. and i really love the cardigan.
de Profundis, why don’t you try pairing really bright colours with neutrals?
I know people like Kirsten Dunst pair up a very toned-down outfit like, grey t-shirts and a jean skirt with a funky aqua blue vest, or shoes.
Hope I helped a bit!
You sure helped me, Retro.Bunny! What a clever idea and kudos to you for pointing out the obvious which seems to elude most of us! Simple nuetrals with a splash of bright on accessories or leggings or a scarf or whatever. Brilliant way to wear your favourite outrageous colours without looking like someone from an Operator Please video clip hehe =) Thank you, bunny!
Aww! You’re welcome! I’m so happy I helped someone. You brightened up my weekend! :3
cardigan=cool!!
LOVE the bowtie, would be too scared to wear that in public here in the Western Syd suburbs…
