Daily Outfit -- 29th November 2008

This is so plain I almost didn’t post it, but anyway, this is what I look like on my “dressed down” days. In public, anyway! (In private, I am a pyjamas kind of gal…)
I was all relax-o-matic, dressed with the intention of going shopping on Saturday! I chose this outfit specifically because it’s quick to get in & out of! It ended up being a long day, with multiple purchases, an article handwritten on index cards in the back of a cafe, several cocktails, & pumpkin pie eaten outdoors in a miniature faux-Thanksgiving ceremony.

Leather miniskirt (I got it for $2 at the Circa Vintage Clothing sale — one of my best vintage purchases ever, I wear it all the time)

Yeah for quick-change outfits! At the end of a shopping day, all my clothes seem a size larger than when I put them on. Does this happen to you as well?
Cute… ok, I give in: your long hair looks hot. There. I said it. I was one of those that got excited when you got rid of your last extensions and thought how hot you looked with your hair short. Now you have long hair hotness. It’s just not FAIR :)
I should have known! As soon as I saw the boots I thought, “Those are exactly like what I’ve been looking for.” And the only boots I’ve found that are close to what I want are the Frye Veronica slouch. Go figure! Only I have Fluevogs I’m desperate and saving up for first. Then onto the Fryes.

miss morgan potts — Black in the sunshine, HAHA, don’t I know it! I used to go out in full black regalia in the middle of summer, what a masochist! Saturday wasn’t too hot so I didn’t suffer, thankfully!
Ophelia — Ah, my hair is ultra-pink because I touched it up this weekend! & hmmm, that’s not a phenomenon I’ve experienced before! This skirt is so teeny that sometimes the button pops when I sneeze, hahaha!
Jenny — Haha, you’re so funny! Thank you. I’m sure short hair is more flattering to my features or whatever, but I love long hair just because it’s so different to what I’m used to!
Mallory @ MissMalaProp — They’re such good boots, you should definitely get them whenever you can. They have completely replaced my New Rocks, which I never really wear any more. The Fryes are much more sophisticated, but still slouchy & casual, which I love! My friend Sammy has the tall version & I want them so badly!

That outfit is still totally fab, even for a plain day. You’re hair is looking phenomenal – the brightest I think I’ve ever seen it. Makes me want to rebel against my school dress code and go crazy with the hair dye.
I took to wearing black tights with my school uniform a couple of months ago, and now I can’t stop wearing them. I totally see the appeal. They make me feel very slim and intelligent.

I’m so jealous because I don’t think I’ve ever been to Wellington when it wasn’t rainy, cloudy and windy….although I also have never been there in the summer, so that might explain some of the problem :o)

First off, so jealous of the gorgeous weather you seem to be enjoying! My past few days have been rainy, wet, and generally gross. And we haven’t had snow yet, which means the cold is SO not worth it.
Secondly, love love love the Frye boots. There are a couple pairs of Fryes that I’m lusting after, but there’s no way in hell I can afford them right now, as a broke college student. :(

Our ferry to the South Island was cancelled :(, but I saw Dark Knight, so it was good. I love how even though this is a dressed down day for you you still look great! Love your boots to death.
