Daily Outfit -- 2nd April 2007
[ 2 April 2007 ]

Again with the, “hi, I’m a nut!” outfits!
Absolutely ridiculous sunglasses. These are for when I feel like being “Grandmama Darling”.
Vintage NEON green dress from a secondhand store on Valencia, in San Francisco
Black leggings (oh, swoon)
Alexandre Herchcovitch for Melissa wedges
WWII Belgian satchel
Believe me when I say I was the brightest thing in the street. A shining beacon of lunacy! I love the outfit though, I felt great in it. It was one of those things where everything works — the dress was the right length, there was nothing catching or wrinkling or sliding into an unflattering position. Great. A+! Would trade again.

Also… I bought a hat. Sooo adorable. I feel like a little bunny in it. Sparkly pink, yes please!
Super-love & cupcakes,

wow you look absolutely radiant in that photo with the hat! you have the most beautiful eyes!
Oh cute, you have a “The Witches” t-shirt, that’s awesome. Love the hat too, pink sparkly is always good.
Love the daily outfit, congrats on being one off the few people who actually looks good in leggings! And in that shade of green, you look gorgeous!
The dress looks amazing with your tats peeping out like lace trim . .
Thank you!
Rachael — Isn’t it the greeeatest t-shirt ever?! Roald Dahl is my hero. I think if I had a son, I would probably call him Dahl. Hmm. Anyway, I don’t know if you’re in Australia or not, but if you are, the shirt is from Dangerfield!
i’m with rachael (my birth name, hee) on this one.
you look smashing that green dress! i wish i could be arsed documenting my outfits :P
mon dieu, you’re such a doll! i’ve already put a link to your blog on my hipermoderna! and thaxxx so much for your adorable comment! ^^
xoxo
you look beautiful darling. that last picture of you is stunning!
oooh, your hat! i love the hat! you had me at sparkly and pink.
I loathe the leggings trend at the moment. However you really do make them your own! They look cool and not like the clones I usually see wearing them. You look fantastic and I love your dress.
Thanks Francheska ;> Yeah, I know what you mean, that whole singlet top with a denim miniskirt & leggings & flip-flops thing. It is hard to make that look interesting. I was going to wear this without the leggings but the dress is quite short & it was a bit too racy for my liking!
I loooove your t-shirt! aah!
I’ve read all of Dahl’s children’s books about a million times each. After I read “The Witches” I started looking for women wearing long gloves and pointy-toed heels, scared that they were witches.
You look adorable in both outfits! And I bought a hat very similar to yours over the weekend, except mine is white and more floppy. I am so jealous of your closet. :)
I wore leggings today too! XD
Except mine were white.
Your outfits are so cute!
lovely outfit and Dahl means “valley” in norwegian in case you didn’t know:) It’s a quite common last name over here
It’s nice to know the translation of Dahl, thanks for the information! I wish I could find out more about Roald Dahl, I remember hearing once that he was kind of a tyrant but…?!
Cute name, sounds like “darl” (as in darling). It’s also the source of the flower name ‘dahlia’.
Have you read his autobiographical ‘Boy’ and ‘Going Solo’? According to wikipedia (so it MUST be true!) he was a bit anti-Israel/anti-semitic.
I have. At school, when I was about 7, we had a teacher who would read us a chapter of Boy every day. (SO GOOD!) I think back in the days of WWII it was pretty normal to be racist. That doesn’t make it okay, but no one thought any different. Thankfully, today we know better. I accept him & love him regardless of his flaws!
Hmmm. Dahl Darling is a bit much ;D I’d never thought of that! Sounds like a stutter!
Roald Darling on the other hand sounds great:) bbc has made a documentary about him where he came across as a nice guy with a dark side. Maybe the documentary is available somewhere?
Gasp. Roald Darling !!!!!! Perfect. Does this mean I have to have children now?!
Good call on the documentary, I will have a look.
