I hope you’re all enjoying the massive amounts of outfit photos! I know there weren’t any for ages, so let’s consider this me making up for lost time! (& I promise, “real content” coming later on today! Can you blame me for taking a slight vacation?!)

Daily outfit

This is what I wore to see Nas & Kanye West last night. (Eeeee!)

<3 Sparkly skull earrings
<3 Holographic unicorn Christmas decoration worn as a necklace!
<3 Jumpsuit (Forever 21)
<3 Frye boots
<3 Tarina Tarantino & wedding ring
<3 Swarovski crystal bracelets (2 — I made one on Monday!)

I totally do not dig the boots with this outfit, but unfortunately they were the only practical choice… & ultimately, I’m really glad I wore them, because by the end of the night, my jumpsuit was sticking to the beer/Coke/wine-covered floor. Oh my god, how disgusting.

Okay, let’s look at that magnificent unicorn up close.

Awwwwwwwwww yeah. It was hanging on a rack with all the other Christmas decorations, & had a little silver string looped through it. I picked it up & thought, ‘This would be make an awesome necklace’. It was only $7.50, I couldn’t resist! I took it home, threaded a chain through it, & let’s just say, I am IN LOVE!

I covered up with my sequinned hoodie from Forever 21, & danced my ass off.

    che — I don’t know if I would call it fabulousness, maybe more like abject shamelessness! Haha. But New Zealanders (& Australians, but to a lesser degree) are extremely different to Americans. Americans will approach you on the street to tell you they love your hair/dress/tattoos, or yell at you from a passing vehicle or whatever. (I haven’t received any negative feedback on my appearance for… years now.) But New Zealanders will just stare at you out of the corner of your eye, they are much more inhibited & less inclined to approach you. It can make you feel a bit paranoid sometimes, but honestly I don’t notice people looking at me these days, I am almost completely oblivious. I don’t know why, I just am. It probably makes my life less intense ;>

I’m going to see Kanye on Friday and I have been looking everywhere for some sequinned-ness to wear, ‘cause ever since I saw it on you, I knew it’d be the perfect outfit choice to wear to Yeezy (along with lots of glow sticks cos)!   7. Lovelovelove the unicorn!! I never thought of Christmas decorations as jewelry before! Hmmm I have this vintage dirigible orament that I could totally see as a necklace…
    And I love that you make Swarovski crystal bracelets. My grandma (who has just about the best vintage jewelry collection I’ve ever seen) began a new hobby last year of making Swarovski bracelets, which I of course took up as well :P

  15. That unicorn necklace is awesome! My 6-year-old self is stomping her feet and screaming that she wants one, too (and so it my 21-year-old self, to be perfectly honest!)

    I’ve never been much of a fan of the hip-hop you kids like so much, but I’ve been getting quite into Mr. West lately, especially after seeing the music video that Takashi Murakami made for him. Hope the concert was a blast!

  25. Oh My God. That unicorn has reminded me of an awesome necklace I bought a while ago and forgot to ever wear! It’s a black plastic cut out of a deer wearing a pink diamante collar. I have to dig that out and wear it tomorrow!

    And i’m loving all the daily outfits. They’re my fave part of Icing so its fair to say i’m totally loving the posts this week :)

    Oh and I was in Wellington city the other day and got so excited coz I thought I saw you, but it was another person with fabulous pink hair…though not as fabulous as yours of course, lol.
