i love this look! and where did you find that knit beret? besides pink and gold, i think you should rock some vivid teal pumps. white would definitely work (and maybe a huge pearl necklace to match) but other than that….yellow? sorry not much help! you still look fab. :)
The pink of the shoes goes nicely with the hat and the pinky red part of your tattoo that is visible. It looks great! Your hair is looking gorgeous by the way :) xx

I’d definitely wear that dress with calf or knee high boots (I’d do black because it’s more my style, but white would be spiffy indeed), but maybe that’s just me…
white oxfords (those bronze toe ones from lanvin! i am currently selling my soul for them) or b&w spectators or shiny black men’s dress shoes (UO had a phat pair for chicks recently)or super-tall chucks or even just a pair of pumps that match your hair:)
or do like the original dress owner would have and have a satin pair dyed to match. love that:)

I agree though, that those shoes don’t fit that well with the dress (which is gorgeous). I would use some cream colored shoes? (white would be to shiny!)

Yay! Thank-you-much for posting outfits again! I’m a sucker for those sparkly brocade 60’s dresses that pop up every so often. I think straight up cherry red shoes would work with the color scheme. I loooove mint and red together. : )
It might be a little boring, but I think some nude pumps would look great with that dress!
amypalko’s suggestion is amazing! Those boots ARE your dress, and the ribbon would tie in with that hat, which is awesomely cute and should be worn more.
Otherwise I’d suggest matching your shoes with other accessories you’re wearing, rather than the dress.
I’d find some vintage gold ones on ebay which would be kind of that muted almost scratchy looking gold fabric.

What about your turquoise pumps in that same style? I forget exactly their color so they may clash, but that’s what came to mind. Otherwise some cute gold ballet flats (I bought mine at Target [not sure if they ship outside the USA] www.target.com/Xhilaration )

If I lived near you, I’d loan you my gold heels. As it is (me here, you there), I think there’s plenty of room to play around. Pink looks good, as would aqua, teal, orange, or (my fave choice) red. Red would seriously pop!
That outfit is so cute! I would probably wear that dress with black shoes and black or white tights, as I do with everything. Orrr… light pink shoes to match the hat.

What’s great about the pink shoes is that they match the bit of your tattoo that peeks out from under the dress sleeve! I’m really glad you’ve resolved to show us more of your outfits…they are such a fun way to start the day and kick start my creative mind :)

I love that dress! I have to agree that the shoes look good with your tats. Or you could get some shoes that match your hair and then they would look good with anything! Some kind of shiny or metallic or pearly gold-ish colour would suit the dress – you know, a make-up type of colour. Or long brown boots, because black would kill that dress. Or red, purely because I’m a red shoes with everything person.
I have a similar kind of light-coloured dress that I never know how to accessorise with legwear in winter. It’s too pale for dark or bright tights – what it really is begging for is skin-toned pantyhose (is pantyhose the world’s most hideous word?) – but I think they are so naff that they require a truly cutting-edge persona to succeed . . .

personally i would wear black shoes with that dress because i wear black shoes with just about everything…but i think the pink looks fantastic on you. it goes well with your whole look. though i must admit i’m not terribly fond of the purse, mainly because i’m not very fond of poodles…
If you have shoes that are about the same shade purple as your hair, I think you could get away with wearing them.
I myself am not as brave as you are venturing outside color schemes, i’m too matchy-matchy… but considering the style of dress, I’d go with baby-blue go-go boots with gold-sparkly specked tights or some nice vintage gold lame’ shoes, maybe with some pastel blue knee-highs?

Either that or some big black boots (new rock type not fashionista type).
I’m just going to second a lot of already-mentioned things – Irregular Choice have a lot of shoes in that perfect aqua, so they’re an option. As is either getting a pair of satin shoes dyed or getting a pair of plain pumps covered with your choice of fabric. White and gold spectators would look good, as would some sort of insane knee-high gold gladiator shoe. Or shoes the exact shade of your hair. White would work because of the (gorgeous) lil poodle.
It’s such a beautiful dress whichever way you wear it, however :)

i have gold shoes, vintage my grandmothers wedding shoes, they are pure gold leafed snake skin. they are the coolest shoes in existence.
I love this outfit!!!! However, I do have turquoise shoes with bows on if you ever want to borrow! haha! I loved this dress the first time you wore it as ‘daily outfit’ when you were dressed as Elton John’s “mini me”. I even found a copy a little similar, but not as bright in gold, from Basque in Myer. Still waiting to find somewhere to wear it….
Everyone who suggested black — It doesn’t work! It’s wayyyy too heavy for the dress & drags it down like mad. Though the Irregular Choice suggestion is magnifique!

Oh, you look darling! it’s always fun to wear contrasting heels with a lady like outfit…I do it all the time. I have a pair of leopard prints that I wear with absolutely anything. The more outrageous the better!

I think the shoes are perfect to complete the ensemble :) they balance the dark blue of your hair and the pink of your bonnet, & match your nails :)
& the cute poodle!!! I used to have a dolphin-shaped fake fur backpack [well i still have it I just dont use it anymore] and people would constantly stop me on the steet to say it was cute :))
