Bonjour! This is me outside the Centre Pompidou on Saturday afternoon. Just after taking these photos, we went shopping along the Champs-Élysées, took photos during the sunset in front of the Arc de Triomphe, drank espresso beneath the Eiffel Tower as the light show glimmered above us & rode a fabulous, two-storey carousel! (In case you were wondering, yes, I had an amazing time in Paris!)

Here’s what I wore.

<3 Long thin hoodie from Laurie Foon
<3 New drop-crotch pants from Zara (They are exactly what I was looking for, & I love them so much!)
<3 Manolo Blahnik high heels
<3 Charm bracelet
<3 Wedding ring!

I arrived back in New York yesterday morning (after an unscheduled overnight stay in Philadelphia!) & it’s good to be back. I have to admit that I miss hearing French around me all the time, though…

  2. looking goooood. did you really find anything along the champs elysees? i lived in paris for a year & the best places to go shopping were the onzieme & the marais. the touristic attractions were all appropriately being exploited.

  3. sofia tutu — You know what, other than food, the ONLY thing I bought in Paris was those trousers. Oh, & an umbrella. Marais didn’t really do it for me, Colette was closed, randomly, & I didn’t have time to go to Balenciaga! Boo! Next time ;>

    Also, I got VERY excited at the fact you were wearing a wedding ring— I thought you had perhaps gone to Paris to elope & marry some cute guy, but then I realised you meant the whole Gala-Nubby extravaganza :> silly me.

  12. Oh I love the Centre Pompidou. It feels like a giant gerbil tube. And the art is also incredible. Like all the art museums in Paris.

  14. So pretty! I must admit generally, I am against harem pants, but that’s probably because I’m hip-y (as in I have curvy hips, not that I like to smoke a lot of pot), but you pull them off extremely well.

    x Miss Corrine x — Thanks lovely, I adore them too! & yes, it was cold in Paris. Not the end of the world by any means but it was definitely a lot colder than NY is right now. When you go there in December it will be reeeeeeeally cold — look at Wikipedia for some average temperatures, then pack accordingly!

  45. Besides saying that I now have a strange want for drop-crotch pants, I want to say thank you, because for once in my small 16 years of life, I’m being allowed to dye my hair an unusual color. I showed my mom some of your daily outfit photos, and she agreed that while your hair is bright pink, you look almost unbearably stylish. So now, I’m on my way to having cheveux rose!
