Gala I totally love this, and the catacombs seem so cool ;)
I adore the bow belt. I totally needs to get me one in violet.
The catacombs look amazing, and your outfit goes so well with the atmosphere too, Gala.
Have a lovely weekend in Paris,
x Lucy
zainab — You could make one trivially! It’s just a strip of fabric with a bow sewn in place on the front, & some buttons & a hole to keep it closed! DO IT!
Lucy — Aw, I’m not there any more! I miss it but I’m glad to be back in NYC!
I adore that cardigan. I am such a cardigan girl, I own wayyy too many.
And Paris… I’m jealous! Hope you had a fabulous time there!
I’m gutted I missed the Catacombs when I visited Paris. Boo.
Quelle macabre!
gorgeous! that cardigan is so adorable, and I am superjealous of your amazing backdrop!
I’m loving that bow belt over the cardigan.
I am in LOVE with that belt! You are such a lucky girl.
I missed the Catacombs in Paris but when I was in Portugal we went to a churchbuilt in human bones. It was so eerie!
Inner goths unite and rejoice!!
have you ever seen the movie catacombs with pink and shannon sossamon?
it’s a pretty good movie, and you’re standing in front of the plaque that was in the movie. :]
i’ve always wanted to go to the catacombs. maybe one day. :]
I don’t want to ruin a great fashion moment, but catacombs is a mass grave of nearly 6 million people…Being French and Parisian, I know this post would make some cringe.
PS — I still love your blog ;)
I’ve never actually commented on anything here before, but I had to squeal once I read this. I always read back on iCiNG’s articles at least once a week, so how cool was it to find out that I was in the same city as you for a while! We may even have twin specks of Parisian dirt on our shoes.
How beautiful was the Tower? I was on the second level with rain in my hair and blisters on my feet, watching my best friend’s glasses get knocked off by the wind and feeling almost insanely happy. And the blue! And the sparkles! Our tour guide compared it to a huge ice sculpture. ahem But before I keep rambling about Paris (and I could ramble for days)... That belt is cute as a cupcake! You’re looking Good in the Catacombs,
Bringing fashion to the tombs.
Dressed in black with a yellow streak,
you sure can pull off super-goth chic!
You’re a bright and sleek gothic rogue,
who has the ghosts all reading vogue!
“How to pull off that Gala look”,
is the new must-have book!
;)
Vixxie.
Awesome, awesome, awesome! The Catacombs are probably the one thing that would reeeeally draw me to France!
All those skulls make a really great back drop, especially with your bright hair! And I know full-blown goth isn’t always the best look, but I’m dying to see more old pictures of goth-Gala!
I really love your boots.
You have a very interesting style. The cardigan looks great!!!
These pics are great, I would love to take pictures at the Catacombs. I also love your yellow belt. It really sets off your outfit and I think I may try to make one of these. It would make a great gift for friends as well.
So chic Gala! You don’t look like a tourist at all! :)
hey gala, great setting for outfit pics! you look so stylish! xo
Oh Lord, I want to visit the catacombs so bad now! My French class watched a video on it four or five years ago. As always, killer outfit. I am constantly in adoration of how amazing you look in black! It makes me look like a frumpy goth, but then again I have very dark, long hair as well. Oh, and I’m stealing that belt. I don’t know how, but I’m going to.
Deliciously creepy – if Anne Rice held a fashion show, these photos are what it would look like!
ohhhh sigh i’ve always wanted to visit the catacombs. one day…
sigh and swoon
My inner goth wants to mope about your inner goth being there…
:D
Love, Love.
Oh, I’m so jealous! I’d give anything to go to the Catacombs. You look fantastic, as always.
I love the catacombs! I spent much time there when I was 19 and engaged in a scandalous romance.
Molly Crabapple — I love you. That is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. Will you tell me about it one day over multiple gin & tonics?!
I went to the catacombs last summer. It’s really something down there, very eerie. Just think if they didn’t have those lights down there, and all those paths that are marked off. eek!
hope you enjoyed your stay there
-Lu
goodness… I’ve always wanted to go to Paris.
Now I just have one more reason to add to my list of why :)
Hey!
You should post some fashion tips for winter… it’s coming up fast and I’d love some ideas about how to keep it cute and fun this winter!!
Stay safe Gala!
xx
Did you get yelled at by the guards for taking photos? That’s what happened to us those big spoil sports. I loved it in the catacombs and can’t wait to head back to Paris. But the USA is first up on the list, which is why I love reading your New York posts :)
Looks like a fantastically spooky setting for a leetle photo shoot!
GALA!
Just a quick thankyou-note to thank you SO SO MUCH for that blog you did about getting a job at Lush.
There were 800 applicants for the christmas temp job, and I got one of them!
YIPEE!!!
I am getting sent for training in Scotland soon apparently. Gosh, tis so exciting.
Many many hugs
-kate xxx
Wow! Awesome outfit! I love the giant buttons!
Gala did you see P!nk’s first (maybe only) movie Catacombs – oh, I just read Krys’ comment & she mentioned it too! Funny film pretty B grade I thought (in a good way!)
Did you cover the Miss Sixty show in Paris, if so do we get lots of photos & commentary? Do we? C’mon you’ve got to show us!!!!
It’s always nice to hang out with some skulls.
