Yesterday, I had a shoegasm, courtesy of Solestruck. & you can see why, right?!
A couple of weeks ago I received an email from a woman called Danielle at Solestruck, asking if I wanted a free pair of shoes. (Oh, did I!) Best of all, it was no strings attached — if I wanted to write about it on iCiNG I could, but they didn’t expect anything & just hoped I would enjoy the product.
After some courier issues, yesterday the shoes finally arrived in my hot little hands. The style? The Guess Borda in black.
When I opened the box I was delighted to find that they were a) much higher than I was expecting (big shoes forever!), b) they fit, c) they seemed comfortable (I will keep you updated!) & d) they matched my hallowe’en costume perfectly! (Stay tuned, little ones…)
I was so thrilled with them that I had to end the phonecall I was on, saying, “Sorry, I really have to go & take pictures of these now”. & here are the results.
I am already plotting outfits in my head. I am going to wear them with ripped stockings… harem pants… my military dress… black jeans… my patent leather cinch belt… a long cardigan & black leather miniskirt… my black lace skirt from H&M… & nothing but a smile. Haha!

Yep, them’s some adorable shoes. I could SO use a pair. I especially love the Mary Jane straps. Heels are just better with straps.
*Yes huny, I had one when I saw them too. I needed a pair of these on my birthday!! =( I bought patent leather doc’s instead. So I’m happy..but these…those are great.

I’m so happy with them too, because I know they’re going to be ultra-versatile. & if they are as comfortable as they seem… Well… Let’s just say, I am a very happy girl! Oh & PSHHHH of course I’m not going to tell you what my costume is! You’re going to have to wait. Haha. It arrived today & I am going to try it on tomorrow probably, I have no idea how it will look so I am kind of psyched out, but fingers crossed!

Those are gorgeous. I just got a new pair of mary jane heels, but they are not nearly that sexy. Then again, mine are leather, about two inches shorter, and have a button, not a buckle. Still love them though.

Wow! I LOVE them. I wish I could wear high heels but they’re just way too impractical for working in Wellington. If I had my own private chauffeur however it would be a different story (and I’d probably be fat).

They’re pretty much what I’ve been looking for myself. My black 5” stilettos died this summer and I’ve been on a quest for new ones ever since but black stilettos are out out OUT in Sweden. I only find hot pink and neon yellow ones, which sadly is not my colour at all! Massive shoe envy!

They look fabulous! I wish I could wear heels. I’m 5ft 9 inches in bare feet and I can’t balance in ‘em to save my life. I spend most of my life in Converse high tops which are fabulous, comfortable and I love the retro feel they give to an outfit. But I’d love to be able to put on a pair of shoes like that and not look the Jolly Green Giantess, as in about as graceful as a heir, or end up staggering around like I’m absolutely bladdered…

It took me some time to wear heels, partly because i was afraid of being an ass stumbling/walking in them and feeling unbalanced the whole time but also because my feet are a bit bigger then the regular women size so at the shoestore i mostly hear ‘no sorry we don’t have them in your size’ or i would end up feeling horrible jealous because they wouldn’t fit.
But thats a few years back, i found a couple of stores where i do fit in the heels and now i’m able not to buy the heels because they fit but because i like them .

just two nights ago i was searching the internets for platform mary janes. there are so many ugly shoes out there that i couldn’t find anything…but these are aaalmost what i was looking for. if i can’t find my first choice dream shoe (patent black mary jane platform wedge) maybe i’ll settle for these. but i don’t wanna bite your style! damn. they’re so hot though!
Ohhh they are sooo sexy! I tried on something similar in a shoe store where I live but I could just barely stand in them -no way they were fit for walking the cobblestone streets of my hometown :( For now though I have to settle for looking at shoes like this on you, which is a pretty lovely settling.

These shoes are magic! They’re so tall, but totally comfortable & easy to walk in. & somehow I feel that they simultaneously convey sultry, little girl, & mysterious all at once. I’ve worn them three times now & each time I’ve gotten compliments on my style. Maybe they just inspire me to dress up… ;D
