iCiNG Day Gallery!
[ 13 November 2007 ]
Hello darlings!
Nadia & I celebrated iCiNG Day yesterday by doing a photoshoot in tribute to one of our favourite places — Japan! We hobbled around in kimono, flashed the peace sign, ate sushi & took photobooth pictures, before running off to the suburbs to watch Patrick Wolf play a show. (Not strictly Japanese, but he is cute & we DO
him, so…)

Instead of placing all the pictures on the front page like I used to do for i.D.U.D., I’ve now created a gallery (with comments) so you can go there for your instant iCiNG Day fix! There are lots of pictures & videos to see, so have a look at the iCiNG Day gallery! I’m adding to it constantly, so keep checking back!
Thank you SO much to everyone who got involved! I hope you had as good a time as we did. Major kisses!
Super-love & cupcakes,
Gala ![]()

Wow, the two of you look so cute :)
I’m glad you had a great iCing Day – now I’m off to check out the gallery!
I hope you went to see Patrick in the kimono’s
Song — Thank you darling!
Magpie_Dandy — Unfortunately, no! A sweaty bar with stupid bouncers isn’t a good place to wear something you care about ;>
Aww you guys look awesome!!!! im glad you had an awesome time!!!
I love your sunnies btw theyr incredibly cute!
Now im off to check out the gallery hee hee
xx
EmmaRose — Merci! I liked that our sunglasses matched, so cute :D
Megan — It’s the Treasury Gardens :> We wandered around it for a while, there are some beautiful spots there!
Gorgeous photos and I LOVE your hair! (I’m going to a wedding in the Treasury Gardens on Saturday. Woohoo!)
Gala! I have no visual proof, but today I lived out my cake/face fantasy! It was perfect, too perfect to have planned. My friend Nate ended up coming down for the weekend, & he was all for it. I’m sure we’ll talk about it for many moons to come. This is how I celebrated my iCiNG day.
Stay cool
I had the weirdest iCiNg day ever, but it finnally turned to be really really good!
I love your new hair, is AWESOME. This pictures are so cute, is so obvious that you had a great time! :D
You guys look AMAZING, I love these pictures. Who took them?
I really didn’t get to do anything for iCiNG Day, which I regret sooo much now that I’ve seen all these wonderful pictures of what other people have done. But I hope that time can fast forward so that the next iCiNG Day comes super soon! :)
ooh nice pictures :D
i’m curious – what shoes did you both wear with your lovely kimonos??
Nadine — The gardens are beautiful, we saw a couple of wedding parties there ourselves. You’ll have a fabulous time!
Sarah Decay — Yay, that’s amazing! Good for you, hee!
fran — I’m going to post your update on the gallery page soon! I’m glad your day turned out well.
Valerie — My amazing boyfriend! He’s so great. He is pretty much always the person taking my photo, unless I’m using a tripod ;>
gwenn — I wore tabi socks & flip flops, haha. Nadia wore cowboy boots!
miss gala, where on earth do you find beautiful, colourful kimonos? i want to find a hot pink or blue yukata but I have yet to see any on eBay.
My mail being posted here makes me even HAPPIER. OMG gala, I’m so happy that I think I’ll explode! Thanks a lot for the iCiNg day idea, I will always celebrate them, they’re such a cute idea :D!
I juste wanted to let you know that going to Patrick Wolf’s show can be considerate “Japanese” since he is touring in Japan.
(And since I live there, I am very impatient about it…)
Super cool Tabi, by the way!
eeeeeeeee!!!! i dressed up in japanese stuff for icing day too!!
took many photos. gotta find a decent one and send to you! (oops, when’s the cut off date??)
You both looked great! :]
Unfortunately I got sick yesterday and had to stay in bed, so I couldn’t celebrate :[ Boo!
Awesomely surreal pix :)
You look so cute in Kimonos!!!
I can’t get over your pics, they are relly original and gorgeous.
You two look so pretty together n_n.
Kisses.
wonderful!
i bought new pj’s an icing day and pranced around in them…
ok… so im officially in love with your hair…
Ha, a bit culturally inaccurate, but the effort is what matters I guess!
I just wrote my NaNoWriMo and lamented the loss of my nice hair colour.
PATRICK WOLF IS LOVE!!
Don’t you two look lovely!
I decided to celebrate iCiNG Day by finally putting some effort into getting my blog up and running – I’ve been writing ‘fake blog posts’ in a word document for ages but thought I was too busy to put any real time into it. I decided iCiNG Day would be the perfect birthday for my blog, called Make A Heart!

patrick wolf is outstanding, he was on jtv saturday morning being generally adorable.
my friends and I had a tea party for iCiNG day. we played at being ladies, it was funsies.
ciao bella.
I discovered your blog yesterday or all days, from a link off sushizume (I know Deanne and Masao!)and off another friends blog. Since it was too late (9pm on a sunday) to do anything outrageous for the first International iCiNG I wrote a list of things I love on my blog! I hope to get more involved with the next one, have already marked it in my diary!!!
I am loving your blog and have had fun going through some fot he archives! I really liked your post of EFT also…I have bookmarked it to look back on later and also sent your post link to a friend who I think could really get into it and use it in her life. I am also willing to give it ago! Will let you know my results!
The pictures of you and your friend are adorable. I live in Japan and love getting dressed up in my yukata (of which I have several…Although I do not own a kimono!).
Hugs
You can be sure that Japan loves you too!! You both look stunning sporting your geisha glam.
While everyday is a celebration here at TM headquarters yesterday was a special day of gratitude and iCiNG.
We celebrated our HANDS! Yep that is right… do you know the ridiculously amazing things that our hands do for us??!
We built, we hugged, we hooped, we massaged, we ate noodles with chopstix, we made accessories and put together promo packs, we priced products + so so much more and the whole time we marvelled at the wonder of our hands while wondering what you were up to for your special day.
Had a feeling, had secrectly hoped that you may do a lil tribute to this place that we adore.
Japan is waiting with arms wide open!
You two really are gorgeous. Love the pics!
Thanks Gala

You look amaaazing! And Patrick Wolf! I’m going to see him soon, too! Not that I’m being a fangirl about it or anything…
Oh yay, you went to Patrick Wolf!
I saw him in Sydney, he was so, so wonderful. Covered in glitter in tiny shorts climbing the speakers….and he crowd surfed. He was so beautiful it hurt, I adore him.
Love the kimonos and the sunglasses, gorgeous!
Adorable photos.
You actually got to see Patrick? I’m so jealous, his music makes my life complete! It always cheers me up when I’m in a bad mood. I hope ye went in the kimonos, they’re just his sort of thing ;)
I would like to know how you put on your fake eyelashes? I have tried and they hurt or fall of…please email me!
thank you
