iCiNG Days Of Christmas: Misikko!
[ 8 December 2008 ]

Girls with unruly hair of all types, rejoice! This Christmas, beautiful straight hair could be yours! OH YES!
Today, iCiNG & Misikko.com, my favourite online purveyor of premium beauty tools, are giving away a flat iron — the Hana Elite Flat Iron. It’s 100% ceramic (unlike most irons which just use a ceramic coating — sneaky!), has adjustable heat levels, is safe on damp hair & has a 2 year no questions asked warranty! The reviews I’ve read of it are brilliant, too. As we say in New Zealand, “little beauty”.
You can even take your pick of sizes. The 1” model is best for normal hair, but for anyone with super-long or thick tresses, the 1.5” model is where you should set your sights!
Ah, bless you, Misikko.
How do you enter? All you need to do is tell us…
Who do you get major hair envy from?!
My pick? Raquel Reed. That colour! Those bangs! It’s the delishimost! Yum!

How about you?
As always, you have 48 hours to be in for your chance to win, & the contest is open to everyone! Yay!
Love letters & feather headdresses,

I’m not going to lie,
Flock of seagulls. THAT hair.
I had it and I loved it!
And I simply need a mini straightener, so I don’t burn my eyelids getting that fringe again!!
I’ve always loved the way Cameron Diaz has her hair. It’s so simple, but always looks sooo good!
Rachel McAdams!
Audrey Kitching, oh yes!
Audrey Kitching! I would love to have hair such a bright shade of pink, and she always manages to have it styled up so big in the craziest ways. I adore it!
Dita von teese, whether it’s straight or wavy,it looks so full and healthy.
Glee! I am a bit of a hair straightening fiend, so this is a very exciting one :)
My Hair Icon has got to be Dita Von Teese.
Although now that I think about it, it may be more her general sexiness that I admire as opposed to just her hair.
But I also have a soft spot for anyone with candy-coloured hair (Including Raquel and our very own Gala – Delicious!). If I could be tempted to take a nibble of your fringe, then I admire your hair!
MK & Ashley Olsen always have fantastic hair!!!!!!!!!
Carrie Bradshaw, when she gets her hair cut after her and Aidan break up when she starts writing for Vogue. I am obsessed with that hair cut, and trying to emulate it (so far not very successfully).
Hang on, I found a picture: x9b.xanga.com/7f38811576440191…
Kiera Knightley’s hair particularly in THAT Chanel advert:
tinyurl.com/6feffm
Oh, and Audrey Hepburn always, but I particularly like this bob:

Amy
xx
I get hair envy from YOU Gala! I’m not sucking up to win, I promise… I loved your hair when it was pale purple… I’ve seen some of your old photos on flickr… I’m IN LOVE with the colour and style! I would totally do my hair like that if it wasn’t for work!
who am i jealous of? this girl at school.
naturally, she has extremely curly hair but her mum got her this really professional one so now she straightens it with that and it looks sooo good. i’m not even kidding you.
they look like the gold threads that rumplestiltskin spun from the wheel!
i go to a catholic all girls school so we kind of compete in that way, instead of for boys. ha ha.
oh dear, to get a new straightener like that, it would fabulous! my last straightener fried my hair and so i had to cut my long hair into a nicole richie bob because of all the split ends! (not that i don’t like nicole richies bob, i just miss my long hair!)
oh, pale turquoise mixed with acuamarine (like a mermaid!) od pale pink with a pearly bling!(like my little pony) and if withoud dying them i would like them to be like daisy lowe’s or anna karina’s.
actually i loved your white hair gala(mine would look more like early gwen stefani). and pale purple as well. sooo unicorny!
it really depends on the haircut. i imagine different haicuts with different colors.
Veronica Lake.
http://www.guillermito2.net/archives/2005_02_05.html
well, i do love gala’s hair when it was white blonde (i just attempted the look myself), but besides that, shannyn sossamon, who has tried heaps of styles that always look awesome(helps that she’s gorgeous)
Helena Bonham Carter. Her hair looks great big and frizzy or sleek and smooth… I’m so jealous! Mine is not so versatile.
Nicole Kidman!!! Particularly when she’s actually a redhead.
I am a brunette and I will be til the day I die. I don’t know if it’s because of this or in spite of this that I am absolutely obsessed with and totally jealous of girls with platinum blonde hair. Every time I read Elinkan’s blog (http://elinkan.blogg.se/) I die a little over her epic hair. Celebrity platinum blondes whos locks I covet include Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani. Delicious.
Betty Draper (January Jones) off Mad Men has great hair. It’s so blonde and shiny and freakishly perfect-looking. I love just about everything about Mad Men though.
Raquel Reed’s is a fantastic colour. Thanks for spreading the hair envy.
Kristen Stewart! She’s been getting a lot of attention nowadays because of the Twilight craziness, and I absolutely love her hair!
She looks good with blond and brown hair, and the best part, it doesn’t hide her face. I feel like so many women are insecure about themselves and cover their best features. Kristen shows that hair out of your face frames it and makes you beautiful :)
plus – she has become so stylish since her debut as a complete tomboy in Panic Room, alongside Jodie Foster.

farrah fawcett. farrah f***ing fawcett. OH MAN. she (or one of her clones) probably starred every shampoo ad in 70s (and 80s), so I grew up with images of her hair as THE perfect hair. the very right amount of wavyness and the first layered cut in history that worked. ok, she used to only wear the same farrah-fawcett brushed and sprayed hairdo during the 70s, but that cut is actually very versatile. actually, my hair is cut in layers like farrah’s, and it works really well either brushed straight, brushed with a big round brush like farrah or au naturel with my curls
Audrey Kitching or Hanna Beth.
I wish I was a male sometimes so I could work Bob Dylans 1960’s fro.
And I wish I had the guts to cut my hair shorter like Audrey Hepburn. She always had such glorious hair!!
I’m in complete awe of Doe Deere’s fiery mane!
i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239…
I love love love Zooey Deschanel’s hair. Unfortunately my hair isn’t quite as dark or thick as hers. Hence why I’ll be getting my hair cut like Olga Kurylenko’s (Camille in Quantum of Solace) tomorrow, much better shape for summer =]
Zooey Deschanel. She has the most amazing hair I have ever seen. It’s dark and curly and thick – pretty much the exact opposite of what I have and it’s what I’ve always wanted!
Personally I swing between Dita Von Teese bit.ly/cxcw and Helena Bonham Carter bit.ly/rV3I. Being a curly girl it sort of depends whether I want to do battle with my straighteners or not!
Perhaps I need better straighteners? ;)
Marla Singer’s hair, from Fight Club, simply because I am a lazy person, and would love to actually get away with rolling out of bed with my hair like that everyday.
Butttt, if I have the time and energy, definitely Marylin Monroe. Those tight blonde curls, so feminine, so beautiful. Definitely my favourite style. I am all for old fashioned glamour.
And finally, if work would let me, which they won’t, I would so do what I have always wanted to do, and dye my hair an outrageous shade of whatever, like you have pink hair! If only!
Rachelle Lefevre from Twilight. Red and curly! Love it.
Definitely Marimoon : www.flickr.com/photos/marimoon…
Fabulous hot pink hair, and pretty great fashion to boot….the girl has it all!
Patrick Wolf! He always does such ugly, clever things with his mop. Sometimes I look after Milagros Schmoll, and if I’m feeling ambitious, Petter Andersson.
Franka Potente’s character in Lola Rennt, bp0.blogger.com/_yDbJcuXLdeM/R….jpg that film is what inpsired me to dye my hair red, though sadly I don’t have the right features to pull off that cut.
My favourite would be ariel the mermaid!
Definitely Raquel Reed for me “Gosh, I wish I had candy colored hair again” moments.
On a day to day basis— the Gilmore Girls, specifically seasons 5 and 6. Long, lush locks that go straight or just perfectly wavy. It’s because of them (and Carrie Bradshaw), that I may forgo my next hair cut in favor of a perm.
(More reason to pick me!— what if my perm is HORRIBLY botched? A good straightener could help out with that! ;D)
Well I did get my recent haircut based on Gwyneth Paltrows latest long bob!
I would love to shave my head though ala Natalie Portman ala Britney ala Sinead O’Connor! Less work! Haha.
Oh— and I can’t believe I forgot! Joan from Mad Men. That perrrrfect copper red, curls beautifully, boufs beautifully and curves to match… she really has it all.
Jessica Simpson. She is the only celeb that I know of that has the same kind of hair as I do. Long and thick. it usually looks perfect.
Although, I am also kinda jealous of the messy fringe hot blonde look that Britney Spears is so good at.
Oh and of course Bridget Marquardt from The Girls Next door. Perfectly hot all the time.
Oh, my goodness, how I’ve been waiting for this. I mean, really. It’s like heaven for a broke, unemployed kid like me. =P
And onto my answer…
David Bowie. Seriously. His Ziggy Stardust/Aladdin Sane era? Mindblowing. That was some seriously awesome hair. I mean, the man is magical in all aspects of his career, but something about that bright red mullet he had going on was just awesome.
I’m going to echo Edie, who said Bob Dylan. He had amazing hair in the 60s.
George Harrison. Sid Vicious. Ian Curtis. Noel Fielding from The Mighty Boosh. Simon Amstell’s hair! Patrick Wolf.
Wendy O. Williams from The Plasmatics. Joan Jett. Natalie Wood, who may seem like she had pretty conventional hair when she was alive, but it really accentuated how beautiful she was. Shannyn Sossamon. Michelle Williams’ hair! Natalie Portman, who can rock pretty much any hairstyle in existence. Kirsten Dunst. Faye Hamlin. Lily Cole. All redheads, basically. Audrey Hepburn! Marilyn Monroe. =)
There’s probably plenty more, but you get the idea. ;)
Gosh Gala, take a break soon! There is iCiNG overload -not that I’m complaining but there was posts over the weekend which should be used for rest! tut tut! :)
My hair icons would probably be Canadian actress Cassie Steele and also Frankie Sandford (Singer from the Saturdays) They have totally changed their looks dramatically, and still look way amazing – it definitely inspired me to chop off my long locks at the beginning of this year after having it waist-length for the most part of five years – and I have never looked back!!
My hair inspiration is…Zoetica Ebb! (Well, granted, she’s pretty much my EVERYthing inspiration, but still…)
It’s not so much that I want blue hair (at the moment, anyway), but her styling is AMAZING! I can never get anything close to it…
www.flickr.com/photos/zoetica/...
Rachel McAdams, because she pulls off a new look in almost every movie and it looks great!
My friend Emma who always has absolutely STUNNING hair
www.facebook.com/profile.php?v…
And the girl from Freelancer’s, vintage hair ftw!
freelancersfashion.blogspot.co…
I’ll just keep it to one.
Julia Roberts. From sleek, slick & chic, to wild untame-able curls. From bleach blonde to chocolate brunette. Long, short, up, down, it looks perfect all the time. :)
Oh my mom’s hair! She has the most beautiful and natural big curls and she looks like a pretty lion. I got my father’s hair, which is sometimes curly or sometimes straight, depending on its mood…
And in celebrity speaking, I love Charlize Theron hair, specially when it’s short.
Penelope Cruz! Also, many Asian women have such incredibly beautiful, silky hair. I’ve seen it so many times, they look like just brushed and styled all day long (sigh).
Oh, and my all- time favourite: Rachel Hurd- Wood’s red mane in The Perfume!!!
I absolutely adore early 80s Skinny Puppy & Nick Cave but I have curly hair so that doesn’t quite work for me :)
My female inspiration is Helena Bonham Carter! Love when she’s got unruly curls. Her hair as Mrs. Lovett is perfection!
I love Raquel Reed’s hair. I’m obssesed with her hair since the first picture of her that I saw.
For me, it’s Audrey Hepburn.
Her hairstyles are timeless and look really, really healthy.
I have to say Miss Karen from I’m Not Antisocial, Just Short Sighted (http://imnotantisocial.blogspot.com/)
If I had hair like that, I’d be happy forever more.
Johanna Ost.
www.flickr.com/photos/johanni/...
She is just absolutely gorgeous, like a 50s barbie doll!! And the way she does her hair is just plain GORGEOUS!
anyone with naturally bright red hair! ugh its to die for!
Robyn, esp. in the Who’s That Girl video – uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UYomJbE….
Short, sharp asymmetry with shaved bits? Yes please. Oh, and it’s pure white. Something I could never do with my (super dark) hair, but I love it.
Mette Lindberg from Asteroids Galaxy Tour, I’m in loooove with her hair, see here : www.flickr.com/photos/frall2/3…
English actress Tamsin Egerton, (Chelsea the ‘Posh Totty’ in St Trinians) has sensationally dazzling, COLOSSAL, long, lucious hair. It is so alluring and full of life it deserves its own roles in movies.
cfs5.tistory.com/image/16/tist…
It looks great both blonde and brown, straight or curly and I’ve always loved messed up ‘sex hair’. Very rockstar!
www.tccandler.com/IMAGES/actre…
I’m head over heels for Audrey Hepburn! The short little cuts in Roman Holiday and Sabrina look so effortless and free!
I’m really into short hair right now, so I’m loving Utada Hikaru’s short hair phrases. Oh, if only I had the facial structure for some of her haircuts.
She also gets major points for being one of the few Asian superstars I’ve seen to not curl her hair when its long. Curled asian hair is beautiful and beautifully done, but sometimes it’s so overplayed. Straight hair is pretty too! (Hence the giving away of the straightener, I realize, haha.)
Debbie Harry, Sarah Brightman, Helena Bonham Carter – especially as Bellatrix Lestrange, and my friend Hannah. She has a lion’s mane more or less. It the best thing I’ve ever seen.
Xxx
definately Zooey Deschanel. Her hair always seems perfect.
My first idea : Sofia Vassilieva. Yes, the teenage girl that plays Ariel Dubois in “Medium”. It strikes me each time I see her. Have you seen her hair ? Besides the obvious silkness of it, I didn’t even know it was possible to have such radiant hair. I don’t know how they do that. If brushing someone’s hair with a spotlight is possible, I think they do !
Hmmm. Eva Green or Helena Bonham Carter.
Eva’s looks how mine should look if it ACTUALLY did what its told!
And Helena’s just rocks out awesome. I love it. Especially in Sweeny Todd.
Gil Elvgren’s women always have such pretty hair! Examples:
My most recent hairstyle: uber graphicimg106.imageshack.us/img106/73…
and
img181.imageshack.us/img181/20…
theresaryan.wordpress.com/2008…
As you can see, it definitely needs a hair straightener to keep it in line! My sister wants hers back, though, so…. :):)
Hair envy? Tiadalma from Pirates of the Caribbean … crazy awesome dreads with seaweed and shells and trinkets and all sorts of cool stuff attached! AND Helena Bonham Carter- SO digging her crazy falling-apart-at-the-seams mop. PS Gala, this whole iCiNG Xmas Giveaway thing is so much fun! xxx
I’ve always envied Jennifer Aniston’s hair, it’s so sleek and straight, shiny – just gorgeous!
Being a girl with frizzy curly hair, I always dreamt of a totally straight hair like Jennifer has.
Also Penelope Cruz – I love her long hair of chocolate shade!
eva mendez has gorgeous hair!
and also i love MK’s flowing waves
Oh and this girl : flickr.com/photos/yourcherrybo…
And I’ve been obsessed with this pictures for a longgg time now, but couldn’t find out who she was until I was looking at Raquel Reed’s myspace pics and realised it was her :P :
i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii…
So I completely agree on Raquel, Gala!
I always liked the Olsen twins and their hair. It looks so natural and sometimes a bit messy, but so cool.
but I always liked short hair, like Edie Sedgwick, and I cut mine…damn it’s really hard to keep it in place :)
Who I envy?
A brazilian actress named Heidi something. Not only she has brown skin and crazy beautiful green eyes but she’s also has awsome hair. Why can’t we all be like that?
Clementine Kruczynski from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, played by the awesome Kate Winslet. She pulls off so many hair colours (even green, not good for a lot of people!) with aplomb… she even manages to make blue with brown roots look cool! She is probably the lady responsible for my scarlet hair incarnations!
chrisglass.com/photos/2004/ima…
Apnea, some of her hairstyles she has in her photos are amazing
I love love love Louise aka Miss Pandora’s hair i’ve allways wanted my hair that colour it’s just beautiful. I particulary like it whenever she has her fringe straight across
misspandorapandora.blogspot.co…
Sailor Moon of course!
Daul Kim. And pretty much all Korean (or even just Asian) women!
I am half Korean myself, and wish I had gotten thick, straight, black hair like my father! Although my hair is dark brown and fairly straight, I still wish it was thicker and completely black. Sigh!
Cliche alert! Cliche alert! I’m sure this has been said a million times before but Blair Waldorf? So nice and chestnutty and perfect and curly… it’s a fly away free perfection! And always with an imaculate headband on top!
And in terms of real people, I would have to go with Jane Birkin. It’s so tousled and carefree yet everything fell perfectly into place, and she has those dark, dramatic bangs I envy so.
I love Irina Lazareanu’s impecable bangs. I wish mine would stay as still as hers!
I’m jealous of…
Lisa O
and
Sorcha G
and
Lauren G
all from Lookbook.nu and all for differing reasons…
They’re not out-there or anything, they’ve (apparently) achievable looks that I can’t seem to master or pull off.
♥ Huge volume and a little bit of frizz on me? I look like a poodle. Girl #1 pulls it off amazingly.
♥ Long soft waves? I’ve tried every strategy in the book, I’ve been shown how by my hairdresser… it just doesn’t happen. It’s either crazy wavy or dead straight, finto. Girl #2 beats the crap out of me. :D
♥ Shorter coloured hair with red undertone? It suits her incredibly and she looks beautiful.
I’m envious of everyday girls… though if I could steal a celebs hair, it would have to be Nicole Richies.
helena bonham carter! she has masses of curly hair, like me, but somehow hers fall in beautiful crazy tendrils, whereas mine is just a big fluffball if i don’t attack it with straighteners. jealous!
I love long, flowing RED hair. Therefore, I get so, so envious when I see Isla Fisher, Kate Walsh, and Amy Adams. I’ve been meaning to take the plunge for awhile now and go as red as them, but … well, I keep chickening out. But I’m definitely going to do it soon! 2009 is my year for saucy red vixen hair :)
anybody with sweet short hair. shannyn sossamon looks awesome with any kind of cut-up short-mess.
anyone who had thick crazy (yet somehow obscenely shapeless) hair and made it work.
mine does not work. especially now. humidity = bad. need straight not frizzy hair. need layers. arghhhh.
I love, love, LOVE Kat Von D’s hair…..
.... oh, if only…..
My inspirations are Katie Holmes, Amanda Peet and Rachel McAdams. When I got my hair cut short, I brought in photos of them and my stylist helped me combine the looks for something that worked well with my hair. Katie Holmes especially is really inspirational to me – her hair and style are very classic and I love it.
Well… it used to be Meg Ryan in the eighties. Now it’s Heidi Klum… want to know why? Because two days ago I went to my stylist and was distracting her as she cut with my rapier wit and BOOM... for the first time since fourth grade I now have accidental straight bangs. Oh lawd. Heidi works them…. I’m going to have to try for a while.
Ahh.. i envy so many peoples hair..
- zooey daschanel
- agyness deyn
- nicole kidman (for the colour)
- cate blanchett
- and i love the colour of kirsten dunst’s hair in maries antionette
Blake Lively AKA Serena from Gossip Girl.
Her hair is MAJOR. in a Posh Spice accent ;-)
BoA kwon, I mean hello, do I need to say more?
Brooke Shields! Love her hair!
Penny Lane from almost famous has fantastic curly hair. It’s so 70s fabulous!
I also count Russell Brand and Noel Fielding as my hair idols because of their unique style and “basic backcomb structure, root-boost and framed with a cheeky fringe.”
www.thedeco.co.uk/downloads%5C…
img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/ar…
Definitely Daisy Lowe.
I’ve had such a crush on her (and her hair) since seeing her picture in Vogue!
She’s got the sleek, long dark hair perfect for teasing or wearing straight and the timeless fringe. The flat iron would be ideal for capturing this look!
images.teamsugar.com/files/upl…
My favorite portrayal of her locks is in the GQ photo shoot.
au.youtube.com/watch?v=nURs
goooooorgeous >_
HIM: thesartorialist.blogspot.com/2…
that hair = the perfect accessory
Oh god my friend Nadia’s hair, it so gorgeous and long.
celeb hair would have to be Keira Knightly
I love the combination of dark cropped hair and large eyes.
Audrey Tautou’s pixie (Amélie).
Audrey Hepburn’s pixie (Roman Holiday).
Winona Ryder’s pixie (c. 1999).
But I also want Evangeline Lilly’s tousled curls. And I’m willing to run around on a supernatural island with Jack and/or Sawyer just to get them.
tinyurl.com/553a8o
I completely envy Zoey Deschanel
Her hair is always gorgeous and not too over the top.
I also completely envy Jenny Lewis’s hair! So adorable all the time!
Any of the Victoria’s Secret models, especially Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio. Even when they don’t have full, curly extensions in their hair always looks amazing (I guess that’s their job to!)
I always love what P!nk does with her hair — No matter what she pull sit off w/ her “I don’t give a f-ck” attitude.
Also, my internet crush, Miss Sherbet Fizz: myspace.com/opiatebreak
^That is one chick who is confident, and has every right to be!
I’m going to have to agree with Hell* here: Robyn. Especially in the Konichiwa Bitches video (http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42766000/jpg/_42766757_robyn_konichiwa_203.jpg)
And I always envied the impossible of Final Fantasy haircuts :]
Patti smith was my hair idol for a long time. Even now -thickly healthy, openly gray, the longest bits grown to their furthest possible extent and braided. Big rock and roll bangs. She’s just always been the epitome of natural woman, not a made up baby doll (although thats pretty too :) ). ...Thick luscious hair full of sweat and life.
Oh le sigh! I so very much need a good straightener!
As for hair-spiration…I’m not going to lie…I have a mini obsession going for Kate Winslet’s character Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The colors! OMG! Every time I watch that movie, I get a primal urge to dye my hair…and thus far, I’ve acted on it twice.
Maybe it’s silly, but I tune into Gossip Girl every week just to check out Blair’s hair and outfits. I WISH I had long hair, I WISH I had her stylist.
Blair Waldorf/Leighton Meester: her hair is just so full and shiny and perfect!
But also Nicole Kidman’s character in Moulin Rouge (anyone with vibrant red hair actually)
Oh my gosh! I really can’t choose, there’s so many people out there with fantastic hair! Right now I just saw a candid picture of Megan Fox’s hair so I’m really liking it now but I envy, the Olsens’ hair, Victoria Beckham, Dita Von Teese, Marisa Tomei (especially in What Women Wants) Rose McGowan (in Planet Terror), Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Blake Lively, Kate Hudson, Wynona Ryder (in Edward Scissorhands as a blonde, kinda liked it on her…did u know she’s a natural blonde?!), Emma Watson, Isla Fisher, Gwen Stefani, the list is endless. Anyone’s hair is better than mine. I have a mix of wave with curly (I love my hair during the summer time as it gets these amazing little kinks all over) but in the winter, I’m cursed with frizz. I wish it were that easy :)
AH! Definitely Agyness Deyn! I love simple, short hair styles. I rocked the short bleach blonde for a little while, and I loved loved loved it! Now I’m back in the brownish section, and I’m totally feeling the Keira Knightley, but only when she had that gorgeous short do.
Basically, any strong, beautiful woman willing to cut off her tresses.
Me!
I just had it cut in to a cute dykey pixie crop, a lil like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday.
I love just being able to rub a bit of wax in it an be good to go!
I do miss long hair though, I am going to grow ot back for my wedding day.
I love Jeffree Star’s hair- woweeeeee.
x
I have MAJOR hair envy for Hayley Williams, especially when she had her bright orange/blond hair. It was so bright and her bangs looked SO good spiked up. I wish I could have my hair like that.
Marla Singer.
I love how simple it is, yet it’s so individual.
Plus, she’s got one of those hairstyles which would still look okay if she was shipwrecked and washed up on a desert island.
You can’t say that about everyone’s hair.
Plus, in the movie ‘Memoirs Of a Geisha’, the character Hatsumomo, played by Gong Li, often wears her hair in this beautiful sort of half-up do. She has these amazingly long beautiful black strands of hair left hanging down, with a large, messy, oriental bun on top. Just beautiful. Unfortunately, I can’t find a good picture of it online, so I hope you’ve seen the movie.
Gotta say though, if I was a guy, I’d totally want hair like L from Death Note:
www.all4anime.com/catalog/imag…
img504.imageshack.us/img504/20…
To be completely honest, I get hair-envy from you. You were sort of my inspiration to dye my hair pink in the first place, and I’m totally envious of your super-bright color, and your extensions! Now that I’ve moved on from my pink phase, I really envy Tori Amos, mostly for color. Her hair is incredibly striking.
Zoetica Ebb. Nuff said. Especially in the bright blue big bob phase!! I dyed my hair every colour of the rainbow, blue and green were the hardest to maintain and pink feels like home to me. Since i lost my job i can’t afford to dye my hair, so at 23 i have greasy mousey flat hair with chunks of grey poking thru, i’m sad lol
When I had short hair, definitely Meg Ryan : how can a women have such short cut & be both womanly sexy & childishly charming??
Now, I must say I love both Keira Knightley (for the way she accessorizes her hair, like this lujoyas.com/wp) & Katie Holmes (for the cut itself, a pretty & original square haircut).
Yu-Gi-Oh. – tenshi.db
Kidding, obviously. But gosh I wish I could have his volume. I love long, big, exotic looking hair, but my hair is long + thick, therefore it’s very difficult to give it volume that lasts.
Maybe I could give it that extra bit of volume by curling it underneath near the roots if I had, say, a good straightener? :]
OR Miranda Kerr’s hair in this picture. – images.fashionmodeldirectory.c…
Swoon.
Oh, i adore Angelababy’s hair! It’s sooo beautiful and long. It looks very silky!
www.xanga.com/angelababy
i am envious of fros-i love like erykah badus big fake fro. or asian womens long silky hair. its divine!
I don’t know if this is allowed, but I forgot to mention someone in my comment. Recently you posted a link to a photoshoot for some horse magazine, and I saved a lot of the pictures simply because I was struck by how amazing the model’s hair was. Just stunning. Here are a few pics in case you’ve forgotten:

Eva Mendez, for sure. So silky and dark and shiny.
Nikki Sixx. The bigger the hair, the closer to God right? As well as my boyfriend’s who has this huge mass of beautiful long curly hair that I want to climb into and build a treehouse.
I think Dita von Teeses hair is fab
It looks like melted records!
x
I almost died last week when I saw Blair’s long, curly locks on Gossip Girl. I’ve always loved her hair, but last week it looked especially good! So my hair envy is of Leighton Meester!
I liked Amanda Price’s hair in, ‘Lost in Austen.’ The girl in the middle, with longish red hair.
i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134….
It’s not dissimiliar to mine. Mine’s really thick and strong. Similiar colour, too. It’s easier to handle and look after when its longer, as when it’s short it sort of bushes out. I usually wash and leave it, then straighten it. That’s it really, as I’m a low maintenance sort of girl.
Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette. swoon I love the white blond hair. Unfortunately mine is long, thick, and brown :( so basically, it would burn up and fall off if i tried to get it that color. le sigh ALSO!!! Kianna Alarid of Tilly and the Wall. Gray blond? swoon again
farm4.static.flickr.com/3003/2…
p.s. pick me. my hair is a curly hot mess. for realz.
I’m totally in love with Demi Moore’s hair. nothingtowear.files.wordpress….
And Avril Lavigne. I find that tiny pink part just too pretty
avril
avril
I’m somewhat envious of my cat’s hair. It’s all stripey and spotted, black with a delicate gray.
As for people…I’d say ’40s pinup girls.
Hmm hard one…
For color, it would have to be you, Gala, pink/purple hair = swoon I’ve had this dream of cotton candy colored hair for a while now, but don’t have the nerve to actually do it
For cut, I’ve always admired girls who can pull off short hair, and none moreso than twiggy…so fabulous!
And I’ve always had hair envy for my friend ginger!! She’s completely amazing of course and last year she chopped off more than half of her hair into an awesome asymmetrical cut and dyed it blue (which matched her eyes) with silver streaks…amazing!!!
Speaking of cool hair, one of my new year’s resolutions for next year is to make a drastic hair change from the long black w/ straight bangs super asian thing I have going on. Maybe in the summer before going to college???
P.S. My hair’s already devastatingly straight, but these contests are just a lot of fun :)
I’m a red-haired girl, and my hairstyle icon is Marcia Cross.
I love the colour, and her simple hairstyle- long wavy hair is really beautiful
Uhhh…Tonks. As in, Tonks from the harry potter books, the one that has no actual image. The way it’s described, as bright purple and spiky. I want bright purple spiky hair.
I am envious of people who have platinum white hair, as I have dark brown/black/blue/purple hair. However, since i was probably 15 or so i have always wanted this hair www.elfwood.com/art/l/o/lostim…
Also, i love Francoise Hardy’s hair.
Traci Lords in Cry-Baby.
Julianne Moore
Oh how I love Jenny Lewis’ (of Rilo Kiley… and of Jenny Lewis) hair. Mine’s wavy though. Hmmm… I think I need a flat iron. Ahem. ;)
I have always loved Reese Witherspoon’s hair.
Long and short.
Also, I am totally in love with the Victoria Beckham bob. Even though its kinda outdated anymore.
I like changing hairstyles, keeping things fresh.
Rihanna! Her hair has been varying lengths from long to pixie short and it always looks good!
Anyone who’s hair reaches fabulous heights, like Marge Simpson (bonus points for having unusually hued hair), the bride of Frankenstein and Helena Bonham Carter in numerous roles.
I also love Gala’s hair, it’s so colorful and pretty! And I didn’t know that I was obsessed with Raquel Reed’s hair until I saw this post! Now I’m a little desperate for a straightening iron so I can tame my pink fluffy tresses into beautiful silky locks!
WoWee! Raquel Reed’s cotton candy-coloured mane is really spectacular. And yes THOSE BANGS! I’d cut it like that, only I’ve got frizzy hair that is wavy, so my current hair envy is Madeleine Martin who plays Rebecca Moody in ‘Californication’. She’s got sleek and straight hair with nice bangs too. Loves it!
Anne Hathaway, I have been holding myself back. I so want to trade my long blond hair and going dark with a fringe. But alas, I am afraid of the dark with my ultra light complexion and blue eyes.
Tank Girl
I have total hair envy for Martine McCutcheon in Love Actually (it’s so shiny!), Natalie Portman, Ingrid Michaelson, and Ariel (from The Little Mermaid).
Emmy Rossum and Anne Hathaway…
i bleached my jet-black asian hair for the first time last weekend, and overdid it a tad too much so it turned out a light burnished copper… i guess change is good, no matter how it happens.
i have a fixation on Japanese hairstyles (the curls, the buns, the clever ornaments!)in general, but i wear my hair mostly sleek… so yeeees, i would love to win the Missiko hair straightener…
gah! thanks for all the love, Gala…
you’re fab-u-louuuus!
I’ve always loved Ashley Olsen and Hilary Duff’s hair.
Cintia Dicker! So gorgeous.
I love Ellen Page’s hair in The Tracey Fragments. It is just a really cute cut for a round face like mine. And I will always admire your fierce locks, Gala! (:
Hanna Beth.
Dita Von Teese.
Zooey Deschanel.
Lauren Bacall and other black and white film stars. Those finger curls really do it for me. Not that I can find the time to do it to my own hair very often. Only on special occasions.
Sailor Neptune. Yes, I am a big geek, but I’m cool with that. When I was in high school I spent ages trying to get my similarly wavy hair to rock her signature aqua color, but I could never get it to stick. Seems pink is the color for me, and so it has been for about 12 years now, on and off. Anyhow, I digress.
Erm..tried to embed a picture of her here and failed, but she’s super cute.
Also, I see girls with super long, pin straight ultra white hair and swoon. I would love to be able to to tame my locks into pulling that off.
The girls from Robots in Disguise. Always amazing: assets.mog.com/pictures/wikipe…
exactly what i’m trying to get my hair to grow out to look like.

I always love Maggie Gylnehaal’s hair.

Cute and natural

Super styled and seductive!
Also Iekeline Stange – so long and poker straight wow
www.whowhatwear.com/website/ad…
Ah! My hair envy is you, Gala! Maybe because I haven’t exactly been exposed to a lot of hairtastic characters but I’m already thinking of getting a full on colour! My hair is black and long, so I would imagine that it would take a heck ton of work to get it bleached and coloured. Still, you’re my hair inspiration.
Oh where to start…Anyone that can afford to go to the hairdresser on a regular basis?!
I always get MAJOR hair envy from Cat Deeley, her hair is so long and luscious and full of bounce and life! She not only has a mega watt smile, she had gorgeous glossy locks. I recently cut my hair short and since then have been having trouble taming it! It wont bounce, or even look as if it’s full of life so my green eyed monster comes out when I see her!
Sunshine & Sparkles.
xxxx
I am in love with kawaiikat’s cotton candy pink hair:
www.flickr.com/photos/19687997
Mmmmmmm! She looks like a fairy
I would have to say my own sisters, Claire and Rebekah. They always have beautiful hair. Somehow I missed out on the lustrous, sexy locks gene! A hair straightener would REALLY help!!! xox
quite simply Gala, I admire anyone with the confidence to rock their ‘do to the fullest! whether they’re scene girls gathering outside a show, the quiet one in the corner with the carefree air, or a bleached-beyond-imagination japanese gangoru girl, if they have the confidence to rock it, they’re my hair crush.
I love Eva Longoria’s hair, even when it’s short (like in this season of Desperate Housewives).
I would love love love to win this straightener. I think I have one of those “sneaky” ones with ceramic coating…or maybe it doesn’t even have that. Needless to say, it’s probably not doing very healthy things for my hair. :(
Giselle’s hair, in the movie Enchanted.
I’ve always wanted red hair, even when I was little, I watched hair dye ads and I told myself “When I grow up, I’ll have red hair!”
And now I actually do!
Louise Brooks, for sure!
Well, as a non-natural redhead (though I do achieve it with henna so it’s not that unnatural hehe), I love anyone who really rocks their red hair. Examples are Nicole Kidman in Moulin Rouge, Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls, Cynthia Nixon generally (though I generally root for her because I feel sorry for the way Miranda never got to be as stunning as the other three in SATC, but that’s another kettle of fish). Other people with luscious hair include Rachel Weisz, how does she get it like that?? And I agree with the people who’ve said Dita von Teese, her styling is often spot on and her hair always looks so healthy it’s hard not to be envious.
I must admit Gala, YOU are a major source of inspiration to my locks. You ooze confidence out of your pores, and that is very appealing.
Aside from you, Adora Bat Brat is amazing. Yea!!
however, for some reason…her myspace is not working. here is her youtube channel!
www.youtube.com/user/AdoraBatB…
never had a icon like that. usually just see something cool in a magazine or on the streets, add my own twist and trust my hairdresser. and sometimes a cool haircut just HAPPENS. all it takes is a weird mood and your hairdresser! (mine is used to it)
Hair icons…Marilyn Monroe and Joan Jett, two very different looks but both fabulous :)
Audrey Kitching! So scene and yet so gawgeous.
Beyoncé!! ‘Nuff said.
Lily Cole! Ack! God, I love the natural redheads, and I think Lily is the beyeoutifullest. That one Vogue photoshoot…of her in the garden…I would make sweet, sweet love to her there…I have settled for pasting the pictures to my inspiration wall though.
That straightener is pretty sexy lookin’ too!
Haha the holiday season makes me hyper!
I don’t envy anyone in particular. I more envy a certain type of hair…big hair. Like this:
www.thejuicer.net/wp
I just think it’s so cool looking.
I have a recent obsession with short hair- or maybe not so recent, but I think I’m finally ready to go through with it? I’ve had shoulder length or so hair for years and years, and it’s time for a change, and I don’t think growing it longer will be that change. Chop chop!
In particular, I’m a little obsessed with Katie Holmes’s hair here: www.aolcdn.com/red_galleries/k…
I’m not sure if it’ll work for me, and I’m still scared about the possibility of chopping it all off, but I have an appointment with my hair stylist two days after I get home for break, and I’m going to have a collage of things I like before then and we’re making a change!
jem
also, my fabulous hairstylist at Vain – Scarlet!
that reminds me… its time for a trip to the hair salon.
My hair idols? Audrey Kitching – pink locks = LOVE! I also lust after Lindsay Lohan’s golden tresses heart
& who can forget Christian Siriano’s crowning glory??!! :)
I’m so jealous of Angelina Jolie’s hair.
It’s always perfect!
Angelica Huston. Think late 60s….very groovy.
www.style.com/beauty/icon/0112…
Margot Tenenbaum of The Royal Tenenbaums.
www.imdb.com/media/rm507746560…I’m so jealous of Claudia Schiffer’s hair… or Brigitte Bardot. Man, they’re like, Wow chicka wow wow blondes!
Robert Pattinson. His hair defies gravity.
As far as “hair envy” goes, it’s an unquestionable tie between Miss Manko and Miss Zoetica Ebb.
Though I must admit, I’m more guilty of having some pretty serious hairless envy. Any girl who can go bald and rock the look is my hair hero. In particular Natalie Portman, who is lovely with whatever is growing out of her sweet little scalp. Oh yes.
And of course, I can’t forget Tank Girl! She’s not quite bald, but she certainly is ballsy. She has the outrageous attitude and style to live up to her equally outrageous hair cuts. What girl wouldn’t want the ability to change their hair color, cut, & style every other panel?
I get total hair envy over my best friend Holley. Her hair is absolutley gorgeous – its long, thick, has beautiful waves and her bangs are absolutley perfect!
As a perennially curly-haired girl (which, don’t me wrong, is amazing sometimes), one of my hair idols would have to be Holly Golightly. Her hair is always so perfectly sleek, in an updo or not, it simply exudes class.
It’s the sort of sleek which is just amazing, don’t you think?
Oh Audrey Kitching and Agyness Deyn! I love Audreys super long hair, and it has so much volume! And yet I like Agyness because I always wish I could pull off blonde hair and a boyish cut!
My hair envy: Zooey Deschanel.
mia farrow in rosemary’s baby.
www.filmforum.org/archivedfilm…
what can i say…i like short hair!
someone already said this but it’s so true: tank girl.
and pretty much anyone who can pull off a decent mohawk.
Agyness Deyn! Oh, to be able to go platinum without going bald!
I’m pretty in love with this style: flickr.com/photos/drifs/241497…
I’m also awfully envious of people that have perfect dreadlocks (like Ani DiFranco here: i131.photobucket.com/albums/p3…). I don’t have the patience to ever do the dread thing, but I absolutely love them.
For me it’s always been the lovely and gorgeous Sandra Oh. www.sandraoh.com/index.php?mod…
As a biracial girl with fairly insane hair, I’d love to have her wonderfully curly locks that transform (perhaps through MAGIC?) into any style she wants. Also, she is immensely talented and that just makes her even more beautiful!!
Nicole Kidman. Definitely.
eh… I don’t know if this is weird, but I always adore Miyavi’s hair. He changes it from time to time, and it’s always very fresh and very him. Especially his rainbow hair period! :D
Courtney Cox Arquette and Catherine Zeta Jones
...
Probably just because they both have that dark, dark, dark colour I’ve always dreamed of.
Edie Sedgwick,
And mostly any girl with short blond hair, just because I know I could never pull it off! And I love the way it looks. =(
Blair Waldorf!
Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl fame has hair (and clothes, and face, and makeup!) that leaves me absolutely panting. She’s pretty much the only reason I watch GG because ye gods, she’s so pretty! I just like watching her.
Non-creepily, of course.
Other hair obsessions are Kyoko Fukada from Kamikaze Girls, Marilyn Monroe and Zooey Deschanel (would shoot self in foot to look like her. Full stop).
(But then again, would also shoot own self in foot for this straightener. Oops. Priorities.)
Ayumi Hamasaki. So yeah, she probably gets it professionally styled but it always looks SO GOOD. Short, long, curly, straight, beehive… And she’s had so many colours too. I’d love to go platinum blonde/grey with a hint of lilac but my hair is naturally black so bleach = go orange. Sad days.
OR. Marie Antoinette. If I had the time to create sky-high hair with white powder, then I would. Plus a nice little boat or nativity scene as an accessory. Ha. Where is Leonard when you need him.
I’m envious of Nubby’s hair! The darkness, the length, the straightness (is that a word?).
I’m envious of anyone with long, dark, straight hair because I wish my hair was straight (it’s already dark and long).
Besides Nubby’s dark tresses I also envy Hannah Beth and Doe Deere!
For the natural look: Zoey Deschanel
But I really love albinwonderland’s hair:

I agree with the comment on Kristen Stewart. She has really nice long healthy looking hair!!!
Honestly, YOU, Gala!
But if not you, then Shrinkle (http://shrinkle.livejournal.com/) !!!
i don’t think i have good hair, so i envy just about everyone’s! lately i’m really enjoying reese witherspoon’s hair. so sleek!
I get major hair envy from well, you, Gala, and any girl that can pull off the pin up short bangs and curly pulled back hair.
God I love that.
=>
I’ve always had a big mess of hair (super thick, super crazy,) and only recently learned about not combing curly hair (whoops!) So, for the longest time, I envied people with straight hair… Like Kiersten Koppel! Oh, I thought, to have long, pin-straight locks that I could curl so the curls wouldn’t go bajiggity and not stick together! To be able to have those bangin’ bangs instead of my hair attempting to do weird Superman swoops when I try to have bangs!
I am learning to accept my crazy hair for what it is (half curly, half wavy, half straight, and driving me half mad,) but I am still jealous of Kristen Stewart. In particular, her hair from the Vanity Fair shoot. It is luscious and wavy and does things my hair would never do. Le sigh. (& I see I am not the only one who admires her hair! :D)
Most definitely Keira Knightly`s locks in Domino, Rihanna`s pixie hair, and Charlize Theron`s hair in Aeon Flux.
I am a big fan of short hair. Too many people hide behind long hair, short hair just opens the face up. I think anyone can pull it off.
I love Kat von D‘s hair – every version of it! When she had her punk-rock Joan-Jett-esque hair I got mine cut in the same way too (my hair is naturally jet black to boot ;) Later I even put platinum blonde streaks in it. Kat’s sense of personal style is very strong – I love how she carries off leather and ripped clothes. Her new curls are amazing too… I basically adore anything she does to her hair!
Aiko 273
She has amazing hairstyles & looks beautiful with each one.

GWEN STEFANI. My own hair has been platinum blonde for about three years now, partially because I had white blonde hair as a child and never got over it when my hair started to get darker, and also because I se no one better to emulate than Gwen. She’s gone through as many hair phases as anyone, and the platinum tresses she has now are the image of perfection. I do, however, remain partial to the Return of Saturn hot pink days… this spring my salon called me to ask if I wanted to try something similar, and of course my answer was YES!! I’m back to white blonde now, but I know I’ll play around with the color again. Pink haired girls have more fun!
unfortunately, I didn’t get many pictures of the pink, but the best is this one: i10.photobucket.com/albums/a13…
and, of course, gwen in pink: s10.photobucket.com/albums/a13…
Kate Beckinsale. I want those long, brown, wavy, sexy locks!
Gwen Stefani for creativity!
Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Anniston, my 3rd grade teacher. Really, any woman (or man!) who can get their hair to do what they want it to! My hair has a mind of it’s own 99% of the time.
I adore Anna Friel’s hair on Pushing Daisies. I have ridiculously curly hair that I straighten EVERY day and my much loved flat iron is on it’s last legs. I could really use a delighful, new flat iron =)
Dita Von Teese, due to the pure beauty that woman exudes or the one and only Miss Gala Darling, the only person to ever convince me without saying a word to dye my hair pink.
Currently? This foreign student (from continental Europe) visiting my student whose hair looks exactly like what I’ve always aspired too: choppy and uneven with a permanent state of just-bedhead-enough.
I love love love Nivek Ogre’s hair from the early eighties:

and!
this girl’s hair! particularly the styles on the second page. They’re colourful and lovely!
www.flickr.com/photos/johanni/...
Catherine Deneuve! She has the very coiffed Parisienne hair, tres elegant!
A good friend of mine has the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen. It’s thick, slightly wavy, shiny and so well-behaved that she never has to brush it and it still looks perfect!!
I love Pink’s ever-changing do, especially when it’s pink! And on the other end of the spectrum, I always love looking at Angelina Jolie’s silky tresses (and the rest of her too!).
A flat iron is just what I’ve been wanting to tame the fuzzies! My hair looks so nice when the hairdresser uses one at the salon.
Thanks Gala!
Alaina Beaton

lead singer of porcelain and the tramps, i came for her hair and stayed for her music ;)
it’s this girl who i know from work, she has really nice blonde streaky hair and it’s got lots of volume which i love! it just moves so nicely as well every time she moves. gahh. but at the moment i’m happy with my own hair! woo!
I’d have to say… Kate Lanphear, Agyness Deyn, Daisy Lowe and Gwen Stefani! :D
I also envy anyone who can pull off a brilliant shade of colour on their head… ♥
Hayley Williams
She rocks vibrant color SO well!
Betsey Johnson,of course
Shannyn Sossamon
Eeeep! I have extreme hair jealousies over Lady Gaga’s hair (even though I’m a guy ;D)! I’m serious – is is normal or even humane to have hair (*)that(*) perfect!? The day I can rock platinum blonde, super-silky-straight hair resembling hers is the day I know I can die peacefully hehe. (I have artificially black, oh-so-naturally unruly hair right now, looks like I have a long way to go!)
Victoria Beckham!
I will never be able to style my hair like hers because my hair is soo thick and naturally curly & I would love to be able to have her kind of versatility.
I’m a girl with super curly swirly girly locks so naturally i tend to be into girls with similar hair. I’d never want straight hair!
My ultimate hair idol is- Teyana Taylor.
An underage cutie rapper chick from NYC, who just so happened to be on Mtv’s My Super Sweet 16. Though there are lots of cool people with curls, it’s obvious how much this girl loves hers.. She is the best.
discoveringhair.com/blog/teyan…
Her style couldn’t be more different than my own, but she is truly amazing.. She’s a girl that could totally fit into your Personal Style post from yesterday! :O)
I really do love my hair…. but if I could trade it for anyones it would probably be rachel mcadams. It always looks so gorgeous and classical.
Zooey Deschanel. Argh! She looks so great all the time!
Liv Tyler, healthy and wavy, and also Lily Cole, love the colour!
Blake Lively!
Zoetica Ebb. Any of her styles are perfection.
www.flickr.com/photos/zoetica/...
And Angelina Jolie.
Blair Waldorf!! ohhh every last strand is so perfectly placed. Also Rachel McAdams. oh, and there’s this hot chick called Gala Darling, have you heard of her? ;)
Shirley Manson. Ugh, that hair. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve dyed my own hair red in an attempt to get it looking like hers. It never, ever works. (One awful time the dye only took to the roots, leaving the rest black. It looked like my scalp was bleeding!)

Oh, Ann Margret. Let me be you forevermore.

You know that took hot rollers and blowing out and constant color maintenance, but god was that woman perfection. And how I loveeee that picture. Random cheetah cub, check, perfect hair, check, innocent who me? pout, check, fantastic all black outfit, check and check.
Anne Hathaway! He hair is PERFECT, she IS a Disney princess.
Rachel Bilson, because we have the same hair color but while she manages to have her hair perfect, mine is always a mess.
but mostly, it’s Agyness Deyn. Seriously, I would so love to be able to pull of this bleached, pixie haircut.. I would love it…
Catherine Zeta Jones in Mask of Zorro!
One of my good friends — her hair has been every color under the sun, and she’s looked fabulous in every one. I don’t know how she does it.
my best friend jessica!
she’s the most beautiful girl i know with the most amazing style that she pulls off for not a ton of money! and she has GORGEOUS short, wavy/curly blonde hair, and sometimes she feels sassy and dyes bright purple panels in it and sometimes it’s brown and now she’s all cute beautiful blonde. she straightens it, leaves it curly, poufs it, ponytails it, and every single day i want her to shave her head and make me a wig so i can have her most wonderful hair!
we also, coincidentally, have the same first and middle names. :) i mean, hello? fate!
Gwen Stefani in all her various hairstyles…and Miyavi’s hair always has attitude. _
a singer/songwriter by the name of Autry that i met on livejournal forever ago. i dye my hair a myriad of colours but i have forever wanted to shave my head into mohawks, bihawks and chelsea but never had the guts(and probably never will!). so i shall continue to live vicariously thru her. i fully have a girl crush on her.

Yours? ;) (It is awesome, really!)
Well I love deep copperish red hair, that is my thing also so I love Doe Deeres hair colour so much! Alicia Witts nature copper hair is also amazing. I have always liked Tori Amoses hair colours and styles, even more now during last record and tour when she used many characters and everyones hair was totally different.
I have a twinsister also who has a fab hair, totally different than mine and we have to do that so people would know who is who. xD She has very short and blonde with black details. She always get attention because of her amazing hair -a sense of style I so adore.
I definitely get my hair envy from the hair hats like animals!
www.uchu
The real source of my envy there is probably that you need a hat or an extroardinarily talented stylist to do it and that hair doesn’t naturally grow like that. (What I wouldn’t give to have the bull on my head!)
Oh, it has to be bettie page! love the mix of classy and sassy. i so wish i had her hair!

Maja from the Sounds, a Swedish rock band. Her hair is just like her: KICK-ASS!
Amy Winehouse!!!!
I know that it’s a situation and she never washes it
but I can’t help it…I love that crazy beehive!
Kelly Clarkson circa “Since U Been Gone”
Sailor Moon!
Pretty much anyone with platinum blond hair. I was a toe-head when I was little but have never been able to get that light since. No cobo of hours of bleaching, toning, etc have been able to take me to anything lighter then a godawful bright yellow.
More specific would be Liv Tyler, for her always perfect hair (seriously, curled or straight it ALWAYS perfect); Peaches Geldof, because her hair always looks good grungy mine either looks good or grungy, I can never seem to find the balance; and Lindsay Lohan’s natural hair color. It’s such a nice red, not too bright but still lovely. If I can’t be a blond I’d want to be a redhead.

i dont get hair envy too much but for the sake of the competition :D
first: jane from seaofshoes.com, she has great color (she said it’s fake) but it’s the best fake blond i’ve ever seen. it’s also so smooth and not messy but not too straight so it looks so natural. she looks like she just wakes up that way!!!! and if she does then i AM jealous.

second: angelina jolie. we have the same color hair… but hers is a little thicker than mine. HELLO her hair is thicker than everyone’s! love it!

third: gala i am jealous of you and every other girl who is not too scared to go pink or blue or purple. it’s my dream, that will never be realized because i don’t want to see what happens when i bleach my hair. :(
this is my dream color:

Definitely Miss Trixie von Dixie (aka Amanda)!

Her hair is a glorious fireball of pizzazz! I’m suuuuper jealous of her fabulous locks!
Right now, I’m mostly inspired by the Beatles’ girlfriends/wives, particularly Jane Asher (as a fellow redhead, I dream of having hair like hers!):

Rockabilly and Psychobilly girls everywhere!
françoise hardy, for sure!
The all girl rock band, The Donnas! Rock n Roll layered hair awesomeness!!!
Patrick Wolf, Laura Marling, Agyness Deyn, Tinkerbell… Haha. I just cut my formerly long hair into a teeny tiny pixie cut and I’m currently infatuated with anyone who can pull off short hair!
The girls with the hair that is blonde and fluffy like a baby chickedee. The girls who’s bangs never seem to grown. The girls with the waves through their hair that just look like they rolled off the beach. The girls with the vibrant colours that you just want to steal and paint your room with.
Tracy Rubovitz. You’ve never heard of her because she’s a girl who went to grade school with me. She had the MOST PERFECT giant, gorgeous ringlet curls and did absolutely nothing to get them to spring about in curly perfection. I still daydream about her hair. Sigh …
I love three different looks –
The waves that Madonna is sporting currently…so beautiful!
old school victorian type curls – Interview with a vampire’s Kirsten Dunst, kinda Shirly Temple….but very structured…worn with a tight laced corset.
The perfect black bob, worn like Anna Windsor or Uma Thurman in Pulp Ficgtion..perfectly curled under and amazing bangs….I have a bob myself but bright red :)
I envy pretty much everyone’s hair, lol. Mine is terrible and always frizzy no matter what I do, ugh. Specifically I like Anna Friel’s hair in Pushing Daisies, and Shannyn Sossamon of course. There are so many more but I just can’t remember. :( I really like nice long, curly hair.
Honestly? Sci-fi chicks. The coolest hair is fictional. ;) I can’t choose one person because I like changing my hair too much!
My first thought was Jennifer Aniston – I like the long, straight look (which is why my waves could use a good straightener!). I also envy anyone that is daring enough to put streaks of funky color in their hair – I love it but it’s just not “me”.
Zooey Deschanel! That beautiful dark hair, that great, blunt fringe that I wish I could pull off, the thick locks. God I wish I had her hair.
Well, Gala Darling, of course! I could never in a million years pull off pink hair.
Leighton Meester/Blair Waldorf! Wavy, dark, beautiful :o)
Hellooo, Yuna from Final Fantasy X! I’ve tried rocking the rat tail braids, but no one can do it like her.

Ooh, and Storm from the X Men comics! Actually, most comic book hair is ultra-enviable.
i12.photobucket.com/albums/a21…
Holly Madison! All that bleach and her hair’s always shiny, sleek and healthy looking!
I try to embrace my frizzy long wavyish hair, but OH BOY a straightener would be awesome. And then I would be all set to get a fringe!
I love Anna Friel’s hair in Pushing Daisies. Ahhh so lovely!
Question, Gala! If we post and our names link to our web site rather than our email, are you still able to see our email address so we can be notified if we’re lucky enough to win?
I’ve always been jealous of Scarlett O’Hara’s hair. I know, she’s a fictional character…but dark black hair that crackles when she combs it and apparently looks fantastic tousled all about her when she wakes up? Envy!
Marilyn Monroe, I am sure someone has said that already.
But seriously, she had the frock of a generation!
Also i have the same body shape as her, but i don’t think i have the right equipment to get her hair =D.
Absolutely Joan Holloway’s, from Mad Men. It’s kind of a combination of my own crazy red hair, but done up like Audrey Hepburn’s.
http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/photos/uncategorized/2008/07/01/joan.jpg
Although, Audrey was a lot less femme fatale than Joan, but that’s okay. Any mild combination of that and my heart flutters
Any girl with gorgeous synthetic dreads in bright colors! I had a huuuge thing for synth dreads in high school. I still have a soft spot for them
Marcia Cross of Desperate Housewives. Long, flowing, beautifully red locks… Oh, the envy! I’m growing my hair out, but I simply don’t have the stylist team to make mine look like hers!
Oh, and I don’t like the word moist. Just thought I’d put that out there.
Desperately need straight hair so I can cultivate my alter-ego.
1. Anna Piaggi
2. Zandra Rhodes
3. This amazing woman
http://www.theworldsbestever.com/2007/10/08/the-sartorialist.jpg
Emilie Autumn! I love her crazy bright red locks especially when she wears them curly..they give her sort of a victorian rocker feel
The livejournal user Alba in Wonderland – she has the perfect pale pink hair (my boyfriend is paying for me to dye my very long hair pink for Christmas, huzzah!)
Also, Cherry Dollface from cherrydollface.com. She has the best vintage hair and is a tattooed beauty!
i would have to say dita von teese because it’s always so perfect and soooo glam!
I love love love Amy Adams’ beautiful red locks. Amazing color, shine, and shape! And she’s just too cute, to boot!
Annabel from Chictopia: www.chictopia.com/photo/show/4…
Her hair is perfect! Straight, thick, dark & glossy.
I’d have to say I envy Raquel’s hair too! AND yours of course. If I only had the confidence and time to dye mine a candy colour! Die! In my own sphere of look… I suppose I have always loved Maggie Gyllenhalls’s (MAJOR SPELL CHeCK)So cutely tousled and flattering.
All the people I want to say are cartoon characters!
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty
Ariel – Little Mermaid
Jessica Rabbit
!!!
To pick a “real live” person, I would have to say Isla Fisher – I love her long strawberry red hair. My hair is red but darker, and I wish it was as long!
Luv
Poochie
I have to say my major hair envy is Tyra banks, Halle berry, GALA DARLING – I found you because I wanted to dye my hair pink and I needed some inspiration! I also am a big fan of Jordana Brewster
Penelope Cruz in Vicky Christina Barcelona
Serena Van der Woodsen’s hair with Blaid Waldorf’s hair color
I do NOT need a straightener (my hair is so straight it won’t even take a perm . . . ). Just had to say – Gala, when are you going blue like Ms Reed? Hmmmm?
Morena Baccarin! I have stick-straight hair (which looks more defined when I use a straightening iron), she has a mane full of luscious curls. I’m in love.
scifipedia.scifi.com/images/th…
Also Jessi from Team Rocket. Her hair is so shiny, the color is fantabulous and her style (especially those thigh-high boots) is rockin’. Is it so bad to envy a cartoon character?
img26.picoodle.com/img/img26/9…
3.bp.blogspot.com/_q50wcHqIJuI…
I have major hair envy for Blair Waldorf’s hair. My hair has always been curly and completely untamable. Her’s is always silky, gorgeous, the perfect shade of brown and still has curls.
static.flickr.com/101/25673085…
I’ve always loved LeeLou’s hair from The Fifth Element as well. Bright orange and her hair is messy without being too messy.
I envy ANYONE who is comfortable enough with their body to put it any which way and still feel amazing!
Anyone can have amazing hair at any price. I think having great hair is worth envying.
That said, I have always loved The Olsen twins’ hair. Oh how delightful. They are so boho-chic it’s sickening.
Gwen Stefani! She has the best bleached hair I’ve ever seen! And she tries so many different styles and they all look amazing on her.
I especially love the way her hair is in her 4 in the morning music video! :D
My hair envy? Princess Peach. Yes, Princess Peach…
toadscastle.net/images/250pxSee, her fringe does that little flippy thing on both sides, and it works for her. My fringe tries to flip around on both sides (my hair decided to try and be curly in highschool, and then gave up, so now there’s only cowlicks and the occasional wavyness to deal with) and the flippy sides of fringe look horrible on me. I am so jealous! If only my hair could do it’s little flippy things on it’s own and not look unflattering! Unless I brush and spray light-hold hairspray on my bangs as soon as I step out of the shower, and keep touching and flattening them as they dry, they’ll dry silly, and even then I have to go back and flatiron extra bits of flip out of them.
It doesn’t help that my cheap, huge and unwieldy hair straightener fries my hair on the best of days… Woe is meee! One day I will have proper Betty Page hair!
Kate Moenigg aka Shane McCutcheon.
img.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/img…
Androgynous style with a hint of femininity… effortlessly chic-messy with chopped layers = ...love it!
I have sooo many hair inspirations! I even have a FOLDER for them on my computer!
I have to say my top faves are:
1) Ruslana Korshunova (RIP, Rapunzel)
supermodels.nl/ModelPics/rusla…
2) Kristen Stewart (I’m a sucker for the “messy on purpose” look)
i195.photobucket.com/albums/z2…
3) Hanna Beth
cdn.buzznet.com/assets/users16…
4) YOU!
I envy your current magenta colored tresses. You inspire me to take better care of my hair :P
Theres a random subculture in japan (shock!) whose girls always have long immaculate ringlet curls, talltalltall, and full perfect bangs. Of course the idea of the style is to dress like a princess, which appeals to me like crazy. But I always feel like I could never achieve such glorious hair!
HIMEGYARU hair!
this friend of mine, she’s got mad white hair and the straightest fringe you’ve ever seen. she also seems to have the ability to make any candy color that she chooses stick to her hair for everrr, for this i envy her to little ultra cute pieces ;)
kate moss
i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb…
and shannyn sossamon ftw
medias.ados.fr/people/5/9/5994…
and i really envy anyone with cotton candy pink hair. maybe one day i will grow some balls and finally do it.
I have a friend whose hair is always so silky and gorgeous — never with the frizz or funky hair days that I get. I often see pictures of celebs with awesome hair (I really like the Veronica Lake kinda thing that’s been going around) but none fills me with such admiration as seeing this friend and her gorgeous hair in person.
Audrey Tautou. She has the most luscious set of locks I’ve seen in a long time. Not to mention she’s just gorgeous in general.
i knoooow this is so incredibly clichéd – and i’m going to get some scowls my way for this – but i LOVE diana vickers’ hair (from the UK X-factor).
it’s pretty much the same hair type as mine, but she does the most gorgeous things with it and always seems to totally nail the ‘just tumbled out of bed’ look.

& here
etc. <3333
Kirsten Dunst!
Zoetica gives me hair envy. www.flickr.com/photos/zoetica/...
I love that asymmetrical blue hair! It really suits her. :)
Shenae Grimes and Salma Hayek. They have bootylicious hair:)
I get major hair envy from Apnea (of Lithium Picnic fame). When I cut all my hair off and did it short, I even did it to look like her!
Really though, I think she may just be so cute she can pull of any hair.
Helena Bonham Carter (international) or Jacqueline Govaert (a dutch singer. It’s not that she does anything very special with her hair, it’s just that she gets her hair to be what I want mine to be – but never will be :P)
I like Miss Lulu’s hair because she does so many things with it.
www.flickr.com/photos/luciahol…
I love anything old fashioned and glamourous, but versitility is the key. Anything from windblown to sleek and choppy.
WOW! I really need a straightener xD
I keep pictures of hair I love on my computer so this shouldn’t be hard.
-Asians with that fringe + super long wavy layers
e.g. listography.com/action/photo?u…
I wish mine grew so much faster T_T
-Hayley Williams
it probably sounds cliche but she can pull off vibrant colors really well! _
-Erika Toda
simple but cute ;]
-my friend Nancy, her hair is so straight!
-and last but not least some people on the MADRADHAIR community, because they have the loveliest colors :D
I think that Blair Waldorf has absolutely fantastic hair. It always looks totally perfect and she can totally rock a headband, which is a big plus.
Shannyn Sossamon circa “The Rules of Attraction” I wish I could pull off something that fierce.
I’m gonna have to go with Zooey Deschanel. Not only is it thick & beautiful, but she has it curled wonderfully & she looks so pretty with black hair! Something I never could. My hair isn’t thick enough for her bangs either, I just love them.
i am insanely jealous of zooey deschanel’s hair. she manages to pull off those eyelash grazing bangs and wavy hair with such charm. i’m only so envious because my hair is so similar to hers and yet i can never get it so shiny and sweet!
Ooohhh…...and also Rachael Hurd Wood’s hair from perfum. I know it is dyed, but i love the color and her wavy hair.
www.imdb.com/media/rm507287552…
My hair envy, has always always been Teru (http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk277/Loona_Ino/terussdegssfddsddd.jpg) the Bassist for a Japanese rockband called Versailles. He has amazingly SILVER hair!
I know its totally possible to get my hair that color but being born naturally asian with NATURALLY VERY DARK hair is going to be quite a challenge.
I just love how his hair is styled and the color!
My other hair envy has got to be Audrey Kitching and how lovely and cute her cupcake colored hair always is >3
David Bowie – As the goblin king in Labyrinth is my ultimate hair idol :D
The madradhair community is a great source of inspiration too, although I’m finding it less edgey in recent times.
I’m also a huge fan of j-rock boys..
Oh and Cloud Strife in the final fantasy 7 movie.
Zoetica from Coilhouse, and you , of course!
I love the 60s Vidal Sasson’s bob, like Twiggy’s.
agyness deyn is great too
Blake Lively – it’s the perfect blonde, tousled, beachy look – something I, sadly, shall never be able to achieve.
Keira Knightley! My favorite look of hers was from the Pride & Prejudice premier (http://i37.tinypic.com/2vtw6q0.jpg) but it always looks good. Long or short, blonde or brown, curly or straight- her hair can do it all.
I’m also mad jealous of Marie Antoinette’s hair!
Reese Witherspoon‘s latest hair cut, I’ve been wanting to cut my hair like that forever since we have a similar color and face shape, now if only I could make mine as sleek and shiny as hers!
My other one is zooey deschanel, her rich natural color always makes me want to dye my hair darker!
um…you! i looove brightly colored hair.
i also envy agyness deyn and anyone who can pull off short pixie cuts
Oh my.
Drew Barrymore, because she wears her hair curly, and as a gal with naturally curly hair, I LOVE IT.
Also, Natalie Portman, especially when her hair was short (See the Natalie Portman Rap from SNL). It was so gorgeous. Also in Garden State, when it was long. SO LOVELY.
There’s also this girl in my Education class that has short hair. And it looks so awesome. It’s a boyish cut, but she has such a petite figure and big eyes that she pulls it off. That plus the color is AMAZING. AND I COVET IT.
I think Kate Winslet‘s hair is always amazing. Also, Zooey Deschanel and Rachel McAdams! Zooey’s always just looks so perfect and Rachel can pull off any color and look fabulous.
Either Agyness Deyn or Dita Von Teese, they are both my IDOLS! one is the most modern, edgy, gorgeous use of that bleach blonde color, and the other is the classic pin-up, always perfectly made up. i am so jealous of their hair lolz.
Blake lively for shape and length
You for colour
Yum Yum
Hair envy is the new hair Evan Rachel Wood’s been sporting post-Manson breakup. She looks like a fancy ice-cream cone! Talk about going from sham to glam
http://www.fadedyouthblog.com/67916/evan-rachel-wood-goes-red/
Nubby Twiglet
The perfect hair colour for her skin, always looks natural, yet well kept.
definitley blair waldorf, and kirsten stewart, i love her careless hair in the movie and her messy do’s in the premieres.
Dita and Farrah. I like ‘em over the top!
Amélie :)
cute and distinctive, just like her:
www.publispain.com/wallpapers_…
I love Angelina Jolie’s hair.
Amelie! I love her cuteness and the slightly surreal quality of her hair. It of course helps if you are bohemian, live in the Montmartre and speak French! Never mind the hair, I want to be her!! I do have to agree with Nubby Twiglet and Zoetica though.
This is going to sound totally cheesy, but you are my HAIRO (ha ha, pun intended). I would love love love Gala Pink or Gala Blue hair, but I reckon the peeps at my job (ministry of the environment) would be as keen. Therefore I am sticking to red, but in my heart I am a galapink gal!
Oh man, this girl in a Michael Stars add has the most amazing hair. It’s basically what I try to get my hair to do every day— just this wild mass of brown curls— but fail at. I wonder if she has extensions in?
Im not being a kiss ass, but You
I’ve always wanted super long pink hair. Not the tangled mess that Audrey Kitching has, but just silky and normal looking hair that is otherwise pink. Ive been switching around hair colors all my life to accommodate my work life, and yet you manage to hold down a job and still have fabulous pink hair.
someday ill be able to work for myself and have pink hair down to my ass, but until then this blog keeps reminding me of my goals.
* AUDREY HEPBURN* circa Breakfast at Tiffany’s ......i love a good french twist
I loooooove Kat Von D’s hair.
i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh…
Ariel! Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted that long fiery red hair. Plus it always seemed so thick and full of body. Of course she is from a cartoon but, I never really put that to mind. I have been dying my hair red forever now. Lately not so bright because I am looking for a job (grumble) but, still as bright as I can. Also I dye it red because of another red-head that inspires me, Lucille Ball. As a child I got to see many movies of hers on AMC and I got hooked on I Love Lucy once they started airing it again. When I am going to have an up do I look straight at her for inspiration. But, at times I do want candy colored tresses. I did go for a lovely shade of pink for a time and I envy your hair lately!
Mosh! I’ve always wanted really blond hair, but sadly I think it would look awful with my complexion :(.
OR Bill from Tokio Hotel. haha!
the inimitable Audrey Hepburn, and my roommate, who has the silkiest, softest hair i’ve ever seen (as a boy, this is really not fair!)
I love love love and adore Anna Wintour’s hair. She made her trademark out of it, it’s simple, yet sexy, edgy, always looks polished and.. those BLUNT BANGS!the bob looks classy everywhere, and anytime. It’s a classic cut, but.. oh so incredibly actual anytime. That purely.. simple.. stylish.. AWESOMENESS!
It’s like the hair itself has its own personality. God I’d love to do that with my hair too :)
Jem! One day I’ll dye my hair a fabulous mix of white, pink, blue and orange!!
Kat Dennings! She is adorable, confident and funny with long, thick hair like mine that she somehow manages to keep healthy and shiny :)
www.mtv.com/movies/photos/s/su…
(thanks for all the positive inspiration on your blog girl!)
Audrey K, it’s gotta be said. She’s been through several different styles over the last few years, but my favourite is her hot pink, black and white streaked hair, layered and teased to absolute perfection. I want to steal her hair, seriously!
A few posts back Jami mentioned the girl from The 5th Element. Back in high school when 5th Element came out I heard that they achieved that messy look by styling Her dry hair do with lathered up soap. So for at least a year I lathered up My purple bob and I was pretty happy with Myself. I drew weird designs around My eyes and said “I’m an Egyptian.” whenever I could.
Zoetica Ebb has great hair, I was hoping no one had posted Her yet, but She must have a lot of fans. I like the color and the asymmetrical look. www.flickr.com/photos/louobedl…
I also think the Japanese Gothic Lolita’s have adorable hair. www.flickr.com/photos/eelssej_…
The girls from the Tarina Tarantino Barbie Line ads. I want Barbie hair! Or Tarina herself- pink barbie!
Vittoria Puccini. Beautiful woman, beautiful hair. :)
Also, Dita von Teese and my friends – one of them has beautiful coppercoloured hair, another loong hair that’s so healthy and beautiful.. The list goes on.
Charlotte Gainsbourg. We have similar hair types, but she just pulls it off soooo much better than me. Not to mention the length.
Not to mention that in the winter, I have to treat my hair with a lot of heat or it becomes this gigantic frizzball. And it just started snowing – first snow of the season. No lie.
Anaemonia Suicide (http://suicidegirls.com/girls/Anemona/) adult content
She changes her hair colour so often but she always carries it so well and looks amazing.
This girl I know. She is a doll and has the most amazing hair I’ve ever seen. It falls past her shoulders and is so damaged that it starts dreading all on its own, so it’s always really interesting and full of texture. She also manages to pull off any colour and style. She’s had bangs, she’s had an undercut, she’s had orange, green, platinum, blue, red and lavender hair and it has all looked amazing.
Most people strive for healthy hair but personally I’m all about the damaged, messy, highly textured look.
DEVENDRA BANHART! long, wavy, wild and wonderful! a beautiful mane for a beautiful man… sigh...
Dita Von Teese for her amazing ’40s styles… and the woman knows how to pull off a hat.
Nico had ridiculously straight, almost white hair that I am in awe of.
Agyness Deyn, too.
Blake Lively HANDS DOWN number one. She has AMAZING hair, every single time I see her.
Closely (but not that closely) followed by
Leighton Meester & America Ferrera.
I’m a huge fan of lush, shiny, thick waves. xx
Leighton Meester’s character Blair on Gossip Girl has the most perfect, bouncy curls! They are proof that the beautiful curls of my beloved porcelain dolls that I envied for so long can exist in real life!
Ohhh who do i NOT have hair envy for? Hahha
My main hair idols are:
David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust (that man is my idol for everything in my life)
Johnathan Rhys Meyers as Maxwell Deamon in Velvet Goldmine (who could not love a baby pink finger wave, hm?)
Shannyn Sossamon in The Rules of Attraction (i love how edgy that cut is.)
Zooey Deschanel (she has the worlds perfect hair)
Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy (that fiery shade…ohhh)
Reita from Gazette
Megan Fox (for i would kill for her full wavey sexy dark hair)
these girls:
img.photobucket.com/albums/v33…
img.photobucket.com/albums/v33…
Agyness Deyn! Which I think is why I subconsciously copied it exactly in my latest style. Oops.
Short haired girls need straighteners, too, especially 1” ones that won’t crisp our perfect platinum crops!
Regina Spektor!! Most gorgeous curls ever.

I am absolutely in love with Duffy’s vintagey hair. Mine’s way too short to pull it off right now, but I’ve promised myself that one day I too will sport a faux-beehive!
Louise Brooks, the Zigfield Girl and silent star of the 1920’s. Chic, androgenous class.

AND Magdalene Veen. Seriously. faints
I want to raid her closet, AND steal her stylist.

I have recently fallen in love with Anya Goy’s hair. She’s a stylist who also wrote a book on dying your own hair funky colors. Her signature style is a full-rainbow dye job, and it looks amazing ._.
I believe I found her on Mookychick, which she wrote something for, but I could be wrong..?
Her website features her hair on the homepage, and some more shots of her in the gallery along with many other crazy-haired beauties.
www.rainbowhaircolour.com/home…
I mostly admire anyone who has the confidence to pull off ridiculous, uncommon, certainly unnatural hair colors. Seeing someone with turquoise, pink, or flaming red hair always brightens up my day :]
(I remember the picture that first led me to iCiNG from Flickr…blue hair!
Misako Aoki always has perfect bangs, with strawberry brown long hair with cute curls at the ends. Im her biggest fan/stalker ha!
Or Miyavi -when he has a shaved side and long/dreads/extensions etc on top=swooon I want that hair!
Mine isn’t a celebrity, but a Japanese girl at my school with PERFECT hair! Sometimes her long hair has small waves and they are all the same length, perfect every time, she is adorable! She has perfect bangs too, I wish I looked good with bangs, mine get all fluffy and stick up :(
Pink! She rocks her short blond hair in so many different chameleon styles and it always looks amazing – it’s a sort of achievable dream for us girls of short tresses.
You, actually. I’ve only just recently gotten the balls to do something with my normally brown hair. And by do something, I mean dye it a red that’s toned down with some neutrals.
But your hair, how it constantly changes & always looks gorgeous, no matter how it’s pink or blue or long or short or whatever you do, girl, it makes me jealous.
Other than that, Alyson Hannigan. Guh, that colour. If you’ve ever watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, you’ll see Willow’s red hair change tints until, in season 5-ish, it’s this gorgeous, perfect, bright copper-y red tint & it’s just amazing. Out of all my favourite actresses & girlcrushes, her hair is the hair I envy the most. That colour is actually why I wanted to dye my hair in the first place (though I couldn’t pull that colour off!).
Blahhh I lied!! I don’t think the picture on the homepage of that website is Anya Goy…but it was rainbowy and I was confused ._.
Leave it to me to mistake these things and not figure it out until after I post…
But anywho, my point being that Anya and her rainbow hair are lovely…as is anyone and their rainbow hair, should they happen to have it!
x.x
pfff, well, gala, besides you… (i’m totally going to dye my hair pink when i get home from mexico.) haha!
i’d say natalie portman, in v for vendetta. after it got shaved off. okay, so maybe it’s like… non-hair envy, but seriously! she looked so beautiful… i can’t even express. it made me want to shave off all my hair. and i think i will one day.
Wednesday Mourning. It looks so sleek. I love tumbling raven locks.
I love Katie Holme’s hair. Its always sleek, shiny and well cut.
Oh so many…but mainly Lou Doillon, Selma Blair and Zooey Deschanel
I’m in an awkward “growing it out” stage, trying to go from a short sort of punky-pixie look to a more girlie-curly style, ala Keira Knightly in that Chanel ad with the strategically placed hat, and Olga Kurylenko from the new Bond flick — thank goodness she’s been all over magazines, because I’ve torn out myriad photos to inspire me and show to my stylist.
I also kind of covet my stylist’s hair — Jen has the best shade of red! I’m always afraid to straight up ask her for that color, lest I seem “Single White Female”-ish.
I am quite jealous of Ashlee Simpson’s hair—from black to platinum blonde to red, I love it all. I wish I had professionals on call to dye my hair for me. :)
Although… my hair dying mishaps have turned out to be quite rad sometimes: i33.tinypic.com/2mxg8dd.jpg..
My friend Molly- it’s model-like wavy, dark reddish purple (dye, obviously) but is sleek and so beautiful. I’ve threatened to swap heads with her before. Unfortunately, her locks are coveted by many. I’d have to wait in line.
Practically any hairdo Gwen Stefani has ever had… and for that matter any hair color she’s ever had. Her hair in the ‘Rich girl’ video? to die for!!
Kim Kardashian & Megan Fox! They have long dark silky beautiful hair. My hair is like super ADD.
Lady Amalthea, from The Last Unicorn.
I know she is cartoon, but who wouldn’t love long, white lucious locks?
www.jennusinystranecky.wz.cz/A…
i88.photobucket.com/albums/k17…
A friend of mine named Ann. She’s a natural redhead – the color is this gorgeous, bright orange – with amazing ringlets. They stick out everywhere in perfect, chunky curls – never frizzy and always soft. When she straightens it, it looks gorgeous, too.
I’m curly-haired too, but nowhere near as lucky! :(
I adore Rita Hayworth!
When I was 16 I took photos of Shirley Manson to a Costcutters and said, “Please?”
More recently, I’m going to have to say Shannon Sossaman. She can pull this off: www.fanboycreative.co.uk/blog/...
Short, effortless, and unique – she doesn’t need a fancy hot iron, I, however, used to comb this mane with a pair of scissors. It’s massive, and when it’s more than ear length (like it is now) I punish it with a cheap Walgreens hot iron at least once a day.
Brittany Flickinger from Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. (Embarassing, I know.) I know her hair isn’t anything all that crazy or different, but it always looks so perfectly soft but textured and the layers are awesome! She wears cute headbands that accent it perfectly. Whenever I try to do what she does I just look frumpy or like I have a mullet or a combover. She’s beautiful!
Amy Winehouse. I know, I know, she’s not in the best state of mind or the picture of health. But the beehive is such a seldom hair-do where I’m from, and its refreshing to see someone bold enough to rock it like she does.
AUDREY HEPBURN’S SHORT HAIR!
i62.photobucket.com/albums/h90…
But my favorite haircut was when I basically went out and got that hairdo that Molly Sue from ANTM got that was inspired by Mia Farrow’s haircut in Rosemary’s Baby. It wasn’t as short but I got a really nice red color :)
aaand this is moi :)

I agree with x- Miyavi’s hair is to die for (Or to Dye for. Either way.).
Also, Emilie Autumn’s hair is mind-blowing, and Amanda Palmer has the cutest hair style known to man-kind.
Guess I should include some links.

There are so many people that give me major hair envy . . . lately Rihanna is doing fantastic, gutsy things with her hair. I wish my day job let me put glamorous colors in my hair but not so much.
to be honest, i love the hair that you’ve been sporting, miss gala. the dark pink plus extensions looks great! my hair is thick and brown, and nice… but nothing extraordinary about it. i love people with the confidence to color and cut to the extreme, and then rock their look everyday.
-k
Hayley Williams from Paramore!!
The red, the orange, the bangs, the attitude in her hair!
The impossible gravity-defying rainbow-hued geometric-puzzle cuts of manga and anime … without all the gel and goop and spray it would take to achieve them in real life :)
My three best (loving all brown b:
Jennifer Anistonreason- she always have so straight hair so so so straight. I really like it!Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl played by Taylor Momsenreason- shorter is much more cuter, if I ever have the cuts to cut my looong hair, she would be the role model (and the way she styles them, and the clothes and make-up uah want!). Although I’d leave mine my color – dark brown.Jessica Albareason- she looks so girly and cute and it doesn’t matter if they are straight, in hairdo or curled or anything else, she works them and she has a great smile also.btw I have always wondered about the hairdo of Marge Simpson :) How on earth does she do it
A girl from the same online community I’m in. She changes her hair a lot, but these are some of my personal favorites:

I wish my lifestyle allowed me such crazy-colored hair! I almost cried when I first saw that first one. No joke. Alas, I work in a smoothie shop and as a receptionist, so unnaturally-colored hair is frowned upon. However, gorgeously straight hair is another story…
my crazy friend georgina, we dyed her hair pink, purple, green, blue all in one go in our bathroom, it was hilarious rainbow fun

huge fan of pink hair, especially when rachel mcadams had baby pink streaks.
As far as famous people go, sarah michelle gellar can pull of any colour, but i love buffy and am bias aha :)
i am in LOVE with kristen stewart’s hair in twilight. i want my hair to be exactly like that.
i also turn green with (hair) envy whenever i see SJP’s hair. whether it’s brown or blond, straight or curly, long or short – it always looks amazing. i want that! lol
i also want a lovely new straightener :)
xo
Zooey Deschanel… sooo thick and lovely.
It makes me not hate my massively thick hair!
I love Gwen Stefani and Marcia Cross and all sorts of other people that have hair in colours that I could never hope to look good in.
Also my friend Susan, with her perfectly straight hair without using anything, thats just how it looks when she gets out of bed in the morning. As much as I love my curls I wish it didn’t take so much effort to get rid of them.
I think my hair is probably too thick and unruly even for these straighteners, so I’m going to enter on behalf of my sister! Her hair role models are Camilla Belle, Nicola Roberts (how she has her hair currently, anyway, she’s made some mistake in the past!) and Penelope Cruz.
Hi!
I absolutely envy readheads for having such an original hair color, so I’m gonna go with Rose McGowan. She has an amazing color and changes styles constantly, always looking incredible.
I love Agyness Deyns pixie cut. hairbrained.files.wordpress.co…
Victoria Beckhams short crop is awesome too. img.metro.co.uk/i/pix/2008/09/...
I also like the classic Audrey hepburn short haircut.
www.stainlesssteeldroppings.co…
I also liked it when Christina aguliera had black lowlights and platimun highlights, really long hair.
www.beautyriot.com/stuff/image…
Then when Avril Lavigne did the pink highlight. Loved it. its dated now, but i still like it.

Oooh good question!
My inspiration for my actual hair is Nora Zehetner from Brick….I love her :)
www.fanunity.com/nora
In my dream world where I have much more money and can afford the upkeep, I would have hair like Lola in Run, Lola, Run. I love the colour so much, and the texture and…..sigh. Lovely.

I don’t like her personality but…
Paris Hilton with short hair:

Ashley Olsen

I have a friend with the most gorgeous hair I’ve ever seen. Long and flowy, but never frizzy. She gets out of bed looking amazing. Her cousin is Sarah Wynter, so it must be in the genes!
Me, my hair is curly, fine, frizzy and voluminous. I got it “permanently straightened” in Vietnam earlier this year, and it didn’t work at all. I need a hair straightener! :)
Audrey Kitching. I would love to have her pink hair but I’m afraid it would be to much for me but I love looking at her pics. Her hair is so natural considering how unatural it is :)
Yess! Betty Draper from Mad Men. I think that classic look is so BEAUTIFUL (despite what my boyfriend thinks…)
I know you will probably not be overly impressed by this answer, Miss Darling, but I’ve always had hair envy for Lisa Kudrow. Her hair just always looks so shiny and healthy, and it’s a wonderful shade of golden blonde. And as someone whose hair gets ratty and unmanageable as soon as it grows past my shoulders, I’m quite envious of her ability to cultivate such lovely long locks…
images.starpulse.com/pictures/...
www.observer.com/files/imageca…
Eva Longoria for sure. She always has cute cuts!
MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL IN HAPPY ENDINGS! (each of those words is a link to a picture!)
her hair in that film is amazing- short and perfectly messy. everything i could never pull off!
maggie is my major woman crush and i get giddy everytime she messes her hair and, just like michael j. fox in back to the future- no matter how much she tugs at/runs her fingers through it, it still looks incredible!
Alison Sudol’s amazingly red hair. I have always adored it.
Oh yeah, and Audrey Tatou as Amelie:
www.andreas.de/amelie/pics/ame…
or otherwise:
images.theage.com.au/ftage/ffx…
Though she is so darn cute she could have any hairstyle and I would be envious.
I always admire women with long, healthy locks, like Zooey Deschanel or Anne Hathaway. I actually cut out pictures of nice hair out of magazines and stash them in a box – um, hair nerd much?
I think that it’s not too difficult to go to a good hairdresser and let them work wonders, but to have healthy, shiny, strong hair, it takes effort and care on your own part. There are so many girls these days with great cuts but their hair is oily or dry or otherwise ratty. Such a waste!
Audrey Kitching! I know that she’s been mentioned many times but I have curly, dishwater auburn (If that is possible) hair and am completely jealous of individuals with candy coloured hair. I’ve never seen a curly haired person pull of hair the colour of windex or cotton candy. Straight/mildly wavy hair makes it so easy!
Rhianna – she just knows how to rock any style.. and they all suit her so well!!
And you miss Gala.. wish i could pull of that awesomness pink hair u have goin!!!
the subject of my hair envy is a yet unnamed freshman spotted repeatedly in the halls of my highschool. No matter how she wears it, wavy or straight, it’s always gloriously shiny and smooth, and never fried. Oh, jelousy.. And by friend suzie has gorgeous hair even on “bad hair days”.
Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls. She has the healthiest looking long, shiny, brunette hair which looks great waved, curled, or straight.

when madonna had that adorable blonde short haircut back in that day
i wish i could pull off short hair
Definitely all of the Plasticines. They have the best bangs, and the way their hair moves when they play is PERFECT.
Disney princesses- they always have perfect hair! Even if they’re fighting bad guys or swimming underwater, their hair looks fabulous. ;)
Definitely jeffree star, lily allen when she had it pink, amy winehouse, mini moon (http://www.prose-n-poetry.com/images/anime/mini_moon/Mini_Moon-9883.jpg), my cat when we painted his white parts with purple water colors, a model from this sephora ad I’ve had taped to my wall for years, the pokemon girl who has her hair in a side ponytail (when i was 7 I was so enchanted with her that wore my hair like that EVERY DAY) and of course, Gala Darling.
And I really like my hair right now, too :D
definitely emmy rossum. her mane of curls is just soo wild, sexy, yet innocent!!
xoxo,
La C.
Audrey Tautou (the perfect bob)
Lillian Gish (long, slightly messy, curls)
I had a bob but was not as sassy looking as Tautou much to my saddness. Nor did any boy “woooooo!” in my ear all sexy like her’s did in Amelie.
Gish has the long, curly hair to die for. Left over from the Victorian age in the age of the flapper…her hair was just gorgeous and looked wonderfully uncombed with it’s curls.
I very jealous of beyonce. She has it any, all, every way before. I’m so very envious
Emmy Rossum. Her video for “Slow me Down” is like a shampoo ad, I’m not even kidding. Gorgeous.
Oooh man!
Hair!
I want one fo those straightners please Gala!
I get MAJOR hair envy of HAYLEY WILLIAMS’ hair! She’s from Paramore and awwww man she’s so gorgeous and her hair is always fantastic!
Here’s a picture – farm4.static.flickr.com/3054/2…

I also have hair envy towards Kate Miller Heidke!

So amazing. The 80s makeup doesn’t hurt either.
Marie Antoinette! I want my hair BIG and embellished! ;P
I love the idea of having pearls and ribbon and birdhouses in my hair. It would be such a converstation starter!
Hahaha for christmas I would string lights and have one of those skating villages in my bouffant.
Oh the smiles that would persist throughout the day…
Victoria Beckham always has amazing hair that suits her skeletal face. MAYJAH envy.
Plus you and the coilhouse girls and anyone else who has the time and patience to rock a crazy, colourful do.
I’m far too lazy!
O and Katherine Moennig playing Shane on The L Word.
I love Anne Hathaway’s hair!
www.flickr.com/photos/7509649
I don’t think she actually dyed it that color, but I love it anyway! I’d dye my hair that color, but I’m not sure how it would look on me.
I also like her hair like this:

Well… for a while I was a BLEACH white blonde during which time I went back and forth between late 1980’s Debbie Harry, Gwen Stefani’s bleached harajuku style, and Karl Lagerfeld’s white simple ponytail. (Chic, hmmm?)
Then my hair broke from all the bleach, and I had to chop it short (I had a 2” chunk of hair that needed to blend with the rest) so I leaned more towards David Bowie, Jon Bon Jovi, and even Rod Stewart!
Now that I’m back to my normal, healthy hair I’ve been leaning towards Brigitte Bardot’s volume combined with the Dutch Boy (from the house paint brand!), but I’m leaning more and more towards a fierce Anna Wintour bob!
xoxoxo
redgaloshes
i envy gwen stefani’s hair.. so platinum and healthy looking. it’s always glamorous and gorgeous. also nicole richie’s hair which seems so natural and effortless..
Kate Lanphear… so bright white and always hanging so cutely over her face. Major hair envy!
img261.imageshack.us/img261/51…
Definitely Blake Lively!
Her’s is always so healthy and fresh looking. I admire her whole attitude though, she seems like such a nice person.
zooey deschanel and audrey tautou!
audrey kitching, gwen stefani, marie antoinette, and rogue from x-men(the cartoon version not the real movie!)
Well I’ll also have to say Dita Von Teese, you cant get any better than that!
are you kidding me? my hair envy IS Raquel Reed!! how perfect you’d choose her for your picture, haha.
oh, and also my model friend Alex. her mane is so shiny and flowy, i love it!
a728.ac
i used to have a CHI flatiron, but it was broken by my roommate on accident. u_u;
so this would make my INSANE FRIZZIES soo happy! haha =D
You Miss Darling give me massive hair envy! Extentions, pink, blue, it’s all fab in my book. And of course I must also say the lovley Dita – i love her locks
Although many people do not like her, I am in LOVE with Peaches Geldof’s hair. She has the ‘daughter of a rockstar’ look down pat and isn’t afraid to do something different of unconventional. Just recently she dyed the tips of her hair blue-very Ariel the little mermaid. I also loved when she cut it into a cute bob. img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007…
I also love Ashlee Simpson’s long red hair. I love this dark and moody look on her, it’s so different from all those super blonde starlets out there. images.craveonline.com/article…
anna karina.

Agyness Deyn
Rihanna
Oh and super-lame,
the girl who plays Melody on “Home and Away” (see, told ya, lame). Every time she comes on screen I experience serious hair envy, it’s just so long and blonde and fine!
Um, is it conceited to say myself? I get a new hair obsession everyday and I feel like it’s one fashionable thing that with any style I can pull off well. My hair’s been mohawk short, blue, pink, purple, turquoise and every natural color in between. I love experimenting with different shades and cuts and the best part is, if it looks bad, you can dye over it and/or let it grow out again.
I don’t have great photos of my favorite hair, but here are some of the better ones:

You.
I have hair envy quite often so here’s a summary of my dream hair right now:
Colour: Miss Gala Darling circa Cupcake Notice video www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZG_GK…
Style: Eva Longoria – her hair always looks immaculate which is sooo frustrating as I’m plagued by static & flyaway hair. The perils of having it long, I guess!
her hair just looks like a wig….
anyways, i have hair envy for LIV TYLER, christina hendricks, penelope cruz, marina perez, and emmy rossum :)
Holy heck, I love your hair pick.
My major hair envy is from Kelis, both pre and post ‘Bossy’
I find that anime is a really great place for hair inspiration. obviously we don’t want to use dragonball Z for anything other than amusement (or runways) but they can do things we can’t in real life, which means you HAVE to make it your own. For example, there’s this fashion anime, Paradise Kiss. The main characters are at a prestigious art school and all have really distinct styles.
static.animekiwi.com/images/up…
www.anime.com/Paradise_Kiss/im…
ALSO Micky Yoochun from DBSK (A korean boyband, they’re FABULOUS.) Even though I know he doesn’t really get to pick what his haircut is, he always has it in these weird/cool/super asian styles that I love. His hair is a main factor for me considering cutting mine short (it’s been long since I was 9, I’m 16 now).

I have major envy for Giselle’s hair in Enchanted (http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b86/nessaneko/gisellehair.jpg). Mine is waist-length and red, but it will not hold a curl beyond an hour or so except for pissant little kinks. Long curly red hair is so gorgeous, I’m hoping I’ll find a good hairdresser who can work magic for my wedding…
Otherwise, having candyfloss fluffy pink or aqua hair would be beyond awesome. I think I might have to start buying more wigs.
Maggie Gyllenhaal! When it’s shorter. She always looks so amazing and kinda quirky. xo
anyone and everyone who can look effortlessly immaculate! [plus points if it’s beachy hair!!]
all 4 girls from sex and the city. depends on the day :)
ooh i have two :)
-natalie portman, no matter how her hair is cut she looks just gorgeous…even with no hair at all
-yoanna house, she won americas next top model in the third season i believe and she is the reason i got a pixie cut
Amanda Palmer, in her video for Runs in the Family. I’ve always loved short hair, but can’t pull it off with my curly-ness.
Magenta, from Rocky Horror Picture Show. We share the curly-ness, hers actually works for her though.
Leesha, aka xsparkage from You-tube. Every style she’s had has looked amazing on her but i love her red hair.
Emma Watson, Hermione from Harry Potter. Again, we share the curly-ness, but as the movies went on, her hair became less frizzy and more sexy.
Gwen Stefani, the platinum blonde straight hair in her Hollaback Girl video, amaziiiing.
Doe Deere, not only is her makeup always flawless, but her hair is always perrrrfeccct.
And lastly,
Myself, I find inspiration in the smallest things and turn that into my hair color. Right now it’s a brownish red mess, but I’ve had ever color of the rainbow before I graduated high school. My favorite so far was when I had blonde hair with pink and orange streaks and pink underneath.
i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295…
I envy all girls with super bright, not faded or fried, unnatural hair including you Gala. I can’t keep up the unnatural colors, my hair gets damaged too easily.
Leelu from the 5th Element, I love those orange almost dreads.
Margo Guryan, Marc Bolan, Taylor Hanson (Har! Har!), and Blondie.
Halle Berry… So envious she looks sensational whether its short or long, curly straight etc…
In general I adore long thick, shiny perfectly wavy/curly hair. Unfortunately I’ve never personally been able achieve this reality.
Lily Cole has the most gorgeous red hair, I think.
www.flickr.com/photos/darrencr…
I once saw her sitting at a sidewalk cafe in Soho and had a private ‘omg’ moment but everyone else I was with was all ‘who?’ But I’m sure lots of people reading this know who she is!
Right now I’m really into short messy dark bobs, which are infinitely more suited to my hair type and cute as heck.
This site has amazing inspiration for haircuts:
www.rasysa.com/pkg/style/
Really adorable and I got the best haircut of my life from printing out inspiration pictures and showing my hairstylist exactly what I wanted, since I suck at haircut terminology.
razor candi viewmorepics.myspace.com/index…
I love love love Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. Gorgeous! And then…it would have to be Keira Knightley and Anne Hathaway (my hair is a lot like hers). Right now my hair is playing with me by not being straight and not being curly…a hair straightener has become a necessity…and my last one broke.
Well, you when you had the white hair, but now pretty much any girl with natural bright red hair. I luuurrve the gingers! But especially Alice Burdeu. I also soo envy Agyness Deans hair! I love short hair, and when its so light… mm
Sarah Jessica Parker… I love how she can wear her hair curly and/or straight and always look so fabulous.
I also love Gwen Stefani. All her looks have rocked.
of course marie antoinette!
I want giant fairy crazy curly hair I can hide cakes in:D
Karla from karlascloset.com/! Her hair is absolutely divine. I love how it’s so short but still super feminine and sexy. She looks very classic and polished. I can only hope to achieve hair like this!
i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii…
The Jonas Brothers and Frieda Rose
my inspiration for hairstyling comes from an old jewel poem:
“Gather yourself by the sea shore and I will love you there. Asemble yourself with wild things, with songs of the sparrow and seafoam. Let mad beauty collect itself in you eyes and it will shine, Calling me. For I long for a man with nests of wild things in his hair. A man who will Kiss the Flame”
although i am a woman, i have always striven for nests of wild things to create themselves in my hair, to make me look savage and tangled, natural, organic and just fresh out of a passionate embrace.
If i’m honest, gala, it’s you!!!
I love all the colours your hair has been. I think that the pink is my favorite, but i loved it when it was midnight blue. So envious!
India Arie!
She changes it all the time, but it always looks great!
Plus, I love her song: “I am not my hair”!!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5y9A4…
the Olsen twins. I love their hair. They always look so pretty.
My mother! She has the most amazing thick, wavy, naturally auburn hair.
My brother got his hair from her. I got my dad’s thin, stick straight almost blonde hair. It’s very mouse-y. Oh well.
One of my choices would have to be megan fox, her hair is always so sleek & shiny! but other than that, it would be my friend katie i’m envious of her afrolicious curls!
ANY girl who rocks blunt bangs with a short, a-line cut! i was so inspired that a year ago, i cut my hair short. (i used to have waist-length hair!) however, my hair was not meant to be short. it’s thick, frizzy and sort of wavy, so it was impossible for me to wake up with beautiful bedhead. i also had to straighten my hair to get it to look decent, but instead of sleek, it just looked damaged.
gala, YOU are also one of my hair icons as well! i read your article about how to dye and maintain your colored hair. i bleached my entire head and went bright red! it was fun while it lasted, but way too hard to maintain. plus, it marked the beginning of my hair’s demise. i’ve since tried to get it back to my natural color (black!), and am growing it out now.
okay i swear i’m not doing this to suck up (not that it matters right? isn’t this a random drawing?), but: yours. i love love love the color of your hair and the way its styled—i suppose most of my envy comes from the fact that my lifestyle absolutely does not allow for crazy-cool hair =( but props to you!
Blair Waldorf – always polished and perfectly curled and such a gorgeous color too! What’s not to love?
I think I’m going to have to go oldschool and say Clara Bow. Whether done up in perfect finger curls; let out in a great red nest; or just a few curls peaking out from under a cloche; her tresses always exuded personality. I mean really, what else could a girl ask for?
Dita von teese because she is uber sexy
or
Rachelle LeFevre spidurmunkey.files.wordpress.c… (Victoria from Twilight)
I have crazy, thick, sort of long, black unruly hair and I go through straighteners faster than 42oz shampoo bottles HA! SO I’d love to see if this one could take cake!
i agree with the masses – blair waldorf (leighton meester) for sure!
or sophia bush – she is just perfection in my eyes.
Out of all the prizes- this one is the one I love!!! GREAT QUESTION Gala! I have thick, wavy hair. It’s light brown naturally but I have dark brown, bleached pieces and some natural. I have always loved red hair, I would like red hair that’s touseled looking with some curl, wind blown, and like kate nash, but brighter. I just love longer hair with some bounce baby!
Also- Lauren Conrad’s look is so cute!!!
Siouxsie Sioux!
Hmm. Probably most people have already been said, but: * Zoetica Ebb – I never really thought I’d lust after someone’s hair AND eyebrows at once. * Shannon Sossamon – a few years back I yearned to look like she did when her hair was all short, so I cut all my hair off. I didn’t look like Shannon Sossamon. * Robert Smith – okay, so SOME people may say that having the same hairstyle for 30 years isn’t exactly… progressive? BUT, I love it, I love him, it’s iconic and crazy. * Ari Up – I’ve never seen someone build so many shapes and silhouettes out of dreads before, which you’d think would be a resonably limiting hair style. * Columbia from Rocky Horror Picture Show – cute and pink and slick.
Miss Piggy, how she managed to grow those luscious blonde locks ill never know.. What a diva! ;D
evangeline lilly and michelle williams. most recently, zui suicide. i love her length/bangs/bouffant
ok I cant remember her name right now but she’s gorgeous and she works at wildilocks here in melbourne…
www.wildilocks.com/images/post…
I’m pretty sure this is her but the make-up is so extreme. She had her hair exactly like this but fire engine red! it was soo beautiful you can see its a mixture of dreadlocks and twirly bits and a sweeped fringe across her face with matching red eye brows. It was so massive, so bright and I just couldn’t stop staring..she looked like those mermaids from the movie ‘hook’- one of my fav films.. Definite Hair Crush..
also have to agree about shannyn sossamon id love to have the versatility this girl rocks with her tresses.. my unruly mop will have none of it!
images.google.com.au/imgres?im…
xxooo
I usually like Natalie Portman’s hair (though not her acting!), but I don’t think I’d look good with her shorter looks. I do, however, straighten my wavy hair every morning and would love a good straightener! :)
Courtney Cox over the last few years, she just gets better as she ages!
My friend Madison. She has THE most gorgeous, shiny, smooth red hair. My hair’s not red, but I wish it would swing and shimmer like hers!
When I’m dying for better crazy coloured hair, I can spend hours drooling over Raquel Reed and Audrey Kitching‘s hair. They both have such awesome colours and just so much hair (even if some of it is fake).
Otherwise, I get mad hair envy for: – Rachel McAdams (Though that might be image envy. I’ve got the pale skin and blue eyes, and I’m itching for the chocolate locks.) – Blake Lively (Again, just so much pretty hair…) – Lindsay Lohan circa Mean Girls and Freaky Friday – Kirsten Dunst circa Marie Antoinette (especially when she wears it down and straight) – Christina Applegate (I love her hair in Samantha Who?. Mine is about the same length and naturally curly, but only looks even vaguely like hers if I spend over an hour working on it with a curling iron.) – Those fabulous lolitas that have long, curly hair and can pull off the hime hair cut.
Heehee, I get to be the total suck-up, but I can honestly say: YOU! Gala always has the guts to do what she wants with her hair and is never scared to express herself using it. You’re the reason I currently have gorgeous PURPLE tresses .
My hair is crazy curly and lately I’ve really been into Emmy Rossum’s hair and her amazing curls. I like how comfortable she is with her curls and how versatile the curls are. I like that she can straighten them one day and then let the curls fly free another day.
Ahahah, Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs has hair that rocks my world! I love the chic beehive.. YUM! site.yeahyeahyeahs.com/gallery…
Dita Von Teese cos she embodies the silver screen stars who had those gorgeous curls .
I also love Oruha’s hair from Clamp’s Clover manga/anime for the same reason as Dita.
And all women who can grow luxuriant hair down to their waist height and below and make the effort and dedication to look after it immaculately.
you. i want to steal your hair. well that doesnt sound slightly creepy at all.
these photos of judith bedard always get me:
http://tinyurl.com/6cj9sd
i prefer keeping my hair short and get angsty when it grows to touch my shoulders, but i would love love love her hair if i could stand locks of that length on myself!
Zooey Deschanel is who’s hair I envy.
Sarah Chalke. I like her layers and color. It’s great.
keira knightley and natalie portman. and you! you pull off unnatural colours so well.
BLAIR WALDORF!! Her hair always looks amazing and she rocks the headband like no other!
any of the lovely ladies from the 1930’s-1940’s. they really spent proper time on their hair and it shows wonderfully. img116.imageshack.us/img116/65… – just look at those finger waves! amazing.
Isla Fischer!
Her hair is AMAZING!
Love that strawberry blonde!
curly or straight, her hair is just beautiful.
MAJOR hair envy!
masuimi max!!
Blake Lively, for sure.
Her hair makes her look like she’s always just getting back from the beach. It reminds of summertime and who doesn’t love summer? She is my favourite blonde & I wish I could pull it off as well as she does.
Her hair just gives her a major happy, healthy glow. :)
I go through phases, but it’s usually a combination of these 3 ladies:
- Bella from Twilight (or Kristen Stewart as Bella in Twilight) chocolate brown thick curls. This is actually very close to my own hair as long as i can keep it under control!!
- Hayley from Paramore – bright red spunkiness, love her.
- Amelie Poulin from the movie Amelie. Her little bob is ADORABLE. This little girl has a “junior” version, almost painful amounts of cute: vimeo.com/2113477
Doe Deere!
Her colour, and the cute curls.. MAJOR jealousy. I love it.
Amelie’s is very cute also though, I agree with Becky on that one.
I get major hair envy from girls who rock mohawks.
My big sister has the most beautiful wavy hair.. Its really long and chesnut colour and no matter what i do my hair never looks half as nice!
Blake lively also has the most amazing hair! Its full of body and wow.
Evangeline Lilly! ( www.evangelinefan.com/gallery/... ) She’s got long, lovely, thick brown hair and it makes me wish I had long hair again (It was down at my butt before I had it all hacked off a few years back!). I’m now trying to grow my hair out again, and it’s because of her! For the interim, though… I got myself a wig. ;D
Second on the list is Bai Ling ( www.dailydumpling.com/wp ). Bai’s always got such sassy, sleek hairstyles – sometimes it’s long and straight, other times short and flipped out with a severe fringe… I love how no matter what she does to it (even shaving it all off!), it’s still very HER, which I love. My hair is too thick to ever tease into a style completely like hers, but ah, I can try. :D
not embarassing
BLAIR from GOSSIP GIRL
Kate Pierson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Pierson)!!! she has had all the hairdos you can think of and they all looked glorious!
Kate Nash, Jenny Lewis etc. Anyone with red hair and bangs xo
Milla Jovovich – in pretty much all the Resident Evil films!
Oh, and in the film Ultraviolet too! Awesome, so straight like I try to get mine!
miss zoetica ebb
helena bonham carter

Without a doubt, Cherry Dollface. She is my favorite modern day pin-up… I’ve got such a girl crush on her.
Natalie Portman, she has very nice healthy looking hair.
Gala you have a pretty nice head of hair too!
oh oh, me 3 months ago! at the wedding.
It was still blonde and nice and curly. My hair couldn’t handle any more bleach so I’m brunette again. oooOooo I wish I could turn back time.
I have three hair idols:
1. Morrissey
~His timeless pompadour never ceases to amaze.
2. Lain, from the Japanese anime series Serial Experiments: LAIN
~Her asymmetrical bob fills me with avarice.
3. Howard Roark, from Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead
~Orange hair, steel gray eyes…so what if he’s a fictional character? Aren’t we all?
NICOLE RICHIE!!!! The bangs, the waves, the bob – she’s tried it all and they all look puuurfeect!
Someone who has the BEST hair in the world is Swedish singer “El Perro Del Mar” or Sarah Assbring.
Her crop is a perfect contrast to her vintage/feminine clothes and sweet folky music. She looks like a modern version of Mia Farrow in “Rosemary’s Baby”. In fact she inspired me to cut my long hair into a pixie cut, AND this was years before Agness Deyn made crops cool!
Sarah with super short hair:

With slightly longer hair:

Shirley Manson from Garbage. Leeloo from The 5th Element. You.
Bob Marley. Tehehe.
Considering that the majority of people have nicer hair than me I get hair envy from a lot of people… mostly people with healthy looking hair rather than fancy colours/styles… so…. umm… Kate Beckinsale.
Anyone, male or female, that have beautiful curly hair. I’ve always wanted outrageous locks.
I almost always love maggie gyllenhaals hair for some reason. But when i was younger, i always loved ( and even attempted) Gwen Stefani’s crazy doo’s
Gala Darling of course!
I’ve always always loved zooey deschanel’s hair! I envy her thick gorgey dark hair.
And as a natural gingerkid, my latest inspiration has been the lovely Jenny Lewis. Which almost seems like a red version of zooey’s. Which I suppose proves that it would suit me? :D
Naturally, my obsession with long hair follows the summer of the pixie cut!
Jessica Alba – I don’t fancy her much as an actress (or as a person from stories people who’ve met her have told me) but her hair is gorgeous! At any length and at any shade it just looks divine and I would probably give up the tip of a finger to have hair like hers – just the tip ;)
ok ok ok
galadarling (the current pink is my fav)
elmo (his hair is the most amazing colour)
stephanie mcintosh (even tho they are extensions)
and
my sister – her hair is always amazing…its long and brown and wavvyyyy and smells nice too!
:)
Xenia of DoeDeereBlogazine and creator of Lime Crime makeup (I call her “genius” for that).
Her luscious, full bodied locks with their perfect loose curls make me swoon, as does the perfect tint of red that the behold. And I think it is natural. Wow. Carefree beauty. ahh . . .
Anne Shirley. Definitely. She may hate her red hair, but I am enamored with it. My mom read me the books when I was just a young thing and I have loved red hair ever since.
meg white.
and jack white, actually.
and any anime character.
My friend and fellow entertainer, Antoinette. Her hair is massive, neon, and constantly changing. She usually looks like she stuck her finger in an electrical socket in the home of a Magic Pony. Here are some of her transformations:

Plus, as you can see, she has INCREDIBLE personal style! She spits style ;)
Vince Noir of The Mighty Boosh! That crazy king-of-the-mods had a luscious mullet I could only dream of back-combing and root-boosting!!! And he rocks it like a real man; in an iridescent, metallic jumpsuit!! XD

PATRICK WOLF – that girl in the picture is me by the way, i’m just wearing a really really good disguise. ;)
one of the girls i with with has the longest thickest darkest and most perfectly touseled hair all the time, i just wanna brush it (like with a barbie doll) im so envious.
i also love sienna millers hair when she played edie sedgwick in factory girl, the whole time it was short, it was absolutely fabulous!!! sigh.
i wish i had magic hair so when i wanted it long it would be long and if i wanted it short it would go short…double sigh
so so envious, does anyone know how to make short hair grow faster??? please no one say regular trims!!!
doe deere! her hair is the same lenght & shade as mine, but somehow, mine looks like s**t every day whilst her looks beyond fabulous!
I have major hair envy with BLAIR WALDORF... sigh so gorgous… I wld doo anything for it :) xoxo
Props to platinum pigeon for her grave rubbing photo!
I love Michelle William’s hair in The Station Agent:
thestationagent.com/Michelle
Also I’m a sucker for medieval hairstyles I mean check this ‘poodle crotch’ style out:
images.buycostumes.com/mgen/me…
I’m extremely jealous of anyone that can pull off short blonde hair ! Especially the likes of Agyness Dean, Annabelle Horsey, Elisha Cuthbert and Sarah Harding. One, because I don’t have the right skin tone for blonde hair EVER and two because I don’t have the right facual structure or body type for short hair !
I’m extremely envious.
karen o. her hair is so cute.
i got the haircut and it looked really good, but i’m lazy when it comes to getting my hair cut so i couldn’t maintain the look.
I love Regina Spektor’s hair. The colour and the nartural waves and curls… iv always loved slightly curly hair.
I am incredibly jealous of any woman that pull off a shaved head. I believe that it takes a woman of beauty (inside and out) to pull of such a style as it only suits the ones with the most stunning facial shapes and to have the guts to give yourself such a haircut must take such incredible confidence deep down aswell.
I know that I would never ever have the guts (or the facial structure) to shave my head and have no intentions of doing so, but I always have that secret envy. =)
The particular woman I am jealous of who looks amazing with a shaved head is called Charlotte, I don’t know any more about her than that because I stumbled across her photos on the internet, but this is her..

I LOVE Marta from Bleeding Through’s hair. Total hair envy and emulation on my part =P. It’s always jet black and super shiny and she looks so gorgeous whether she’s going goth girl with bright red roots

or pin up glam

I also totally love Sabina Kelley’s hair, whatever she’s doing, she always looks fierce and flawless. i36.photobucket.com/albums/e46…
i46.photobucket.com/albums/f14…
Stunning.
I LOVE Reese Witherspoon’s hair.
I have curly, dark-brown and thinnish hair, and it gets so damaged when I straighten it with the crappy Cera-Shine I have now.
Reese has the perfect blonde, straight hair and it looks so healthy, too!
Please give me (Brown) Reese Hair!
Id say Ashlee Simpson just because she can pull off so many looks. She’s been every colour and they all look amazing on her. Short or long hair as well. But the red hair she has at the moment is stunning.
i love christina aguilera when she has ultra straight, ultra platinum blonde hair, i really want to try it out someday, but since my hair is black… not sure if it would suit me!
Oh i don’t know maybe it’s just stupid but i don’t get any major hair envy. Not even Beyonce. Or Dita Von Teese. Or even Jennifer Aniston in her super good ‘Rachel’-days. I definetely love my own hair and think it suits me a lot. But i have to confess that sometimes i am just too lazy to style it.
If i still have to put any celebrity in here, i’d say Lily Allen has a nice hair, but in any case mine is till better ;)
blake lively! (and in turn, serena van der woodsen) my hair might look like hers if i went to a salon every morning and had it done, but until then ill just keep wishing that when i wake up it’ll look like hers.
perfect example: tinyurl.com/blakelivelyhair
Kelly Wearstler.
I went through my like 9 year funky hair stage and got influence from almost everything
Zoetica Ebb. Hands down, this girl has the best hair. Great color(s) and no matter what she does with it, it looks fab.
Sharin Foo from the Raveonettes: I just love-love-love her, with longer and shorter hairdos, more styled or more natural…always! jacoblangvad.com/wp
and, of course, Blondie: an icon!

PS: in case you were wondering…I’m a brunette! :-P
Girls in Japan usually have such naturally perfect, glossy black hair. It looks like the Pocahontas cartoon, so strong and thick. Most girls in Japan dye their hair brown or even blonde, but when I see a natural, beautiful head of hair…wow.
I also love Briget Bardot’s hair in “Et Dieu Crea La Femme” because it’s a terrible, blonde mat that she just pulls back into a blue headband the whole time. It’s the kind of hair you get when you just lie around in bed all day kissing. I love her hair in that movie.
Please give me the hair curler! I love you even if you don’t, though. Obviously.
i know this is quite shallow, but hayley williams of the band paramore has inspired hair envy in me. her red hair and hairstyle is the best, in my opinion.
i’m also loving ashlee simpson’s red hair and hairstyle, it looks good on her and it looks wash and wear. great for everyday.
i noticed i’m loving red hair! but i have yet to dye my hair though, haha. i have naturally long, lush, thick dark brown hair. but i need a hair makeover, seriously!
keep up with the fabulous posts! :D
Gwen Stefani and Pink for sure!
Does Sailor Moon count? How does her hair stay so perfect? She must take really good care of it. It’s so long, and yet in such nice condition! And her odango-hairstyle! How do they stay so round?
Also, Keira Knightley.
I’m totally 100% jealous of Blake Lively’s hair on Gossip Girl. She has the most gorgeous, full, long hair and I’m waaayy jealous of it. But I still love my little opposite mop all the same. :)
Pocahontas. Actually, all of the Disney princesses give me hair envy.
For Natural Colour
Cintia Dicker, hands down! I’ve always loved naturally red hair even though it would look absolutely ridiculous on someone as brown as me, hahaha. Her hair’s thickness is something to be admired, too.
For Supernatural Colour
Uh, you, Gala. Duh.
For Hair Style
PERFECTION TAKES A HUMAN FORM IN DITA VON TEESE. I’m not even gonna elaborate.

Pixie Geldof. Not only am I totally in awe of her courageous fashion efforts, her hair reflects her I-don’t-actually-give-a-shit attitude, and her peroxide blonde crop totally defines everything thats awesome to me.
I’m a bodacious black babe from the caribbean so i have to big up my fellow island-made chick RIHANNA. the girl hair is as we say here is “MMMAAAAAAADDDD!!!”.
I love Joss Stone hair, when is pink with curls
Marie Antionette… not the white pouf, but have you ever seen the portrait of her a strawberry blonde?

i hardly ever enter drawings like this but i’ve been wishing for a flat iron for so long, i couldn’t resist.
my hugest hair envy is my gal Carla – she has crazy long hair like me also, but cuts & styles it herself and always looks like she just stepped out of a salon.
also: the inimitable Shrinkle & her cousin-in-crime Xenia, internet pal SecretAgentGlam, and of course The Girl Herself, Gala Darling.
My hair envy comes from a girl I saw at the county fair when I was 11. She was probably 16 (so she was sophisticated, you know) and her hair was an indescribable shade of lavender! I’ve never seen hair more beautiful since. It was deliciously light, like the cotton candy or grape-flavored shaved ice I might have been munching on later that day.
I thought about it for years, just waiting to turn 18 so my mother couldn’t stop my hair from blushing purple! Unfortunantly, my modesty has caught up with me. One day, I will be brave enough, and imitate the color of that amazing, free-spirited girl I saw at the county fair next to ferris wheel, and the pigs and ducks.
Katy Perry
Her style is so girly, yet wacky and boyish at the same time. Her style totally contradicts her personality, which draws me to her style.
gwen stefani! (like in this picture sketch.smugmug.com/photos/1157…)
when she had pink hair and a fringe (or bangs as some non british folk call them!)
yum!
Angelina Jolie and Tank Girl: The first one is one of the most beautiful women in the world with amazing hair and the second represents to me female freedom and power, partially through her choice of hairstyles.
This girl is my inspiration.
Lucia Holm.
Style, great hair & totally indie

Serena from Gossip Girl. I know it’s mostly extensions, but it’s so smooth and shiny and yet still looks natural.
I think Zoetica Ebb certainly gets my vote here, I think simple hair envy is an understatement. No matter how she does it, it’s always fabulous. Next I think I’d have to say Milla Jovovich, great hair in the Fifth Element and .45.
My pick would be Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley. I love her red wavy hair, the only one that comes close is Karen Elson…
my hair hero is Jessica Aniston
I would kill for her colour and shape
May I have that flatiron, please
gala, you look superfabulous
kisses from Rome
aaah! i have to say Agyness Deyn’s. if i wear pale, i would probably get my hair done like hers! But eh, i’ve only gone as far as cutting it extremely short.
i really dig pixie/boy-short haircuts. :D
Jessica Simpson.
Audrey Kitching ♥♥ :)

My friend’s flatmate’s hair!!!
It is amazing. super shiny, in amazing condition, does whatever she wants it to.
And the best part? When I asked what shampoo and conditioner she uses she looked at me like i was crazy and said “whatever is cheapest at the supermarket” – like it was that simple!!!!
Did anyone read the picture book Murgatroyd’s Garden? It was about a little girl who refused to wash her hair which then began growing into a lush forest with flowers and trees. It was supposed to scare little kiddies into washing their hair, it just made me want a forest head.
sarah maguire & victoria gazinskaya! i love blunt fringes & girl’s bowl cuts so much! i really want to cut off all my hair but i’m putting it off for the moment until i can finally let go of my (more recently) long locks.
I really love Kirsten Stewart’s hair. It looked really gorgeous in Twilight. Perfect shade, perfect curliness.
Also, there is a girl at my school with lovely naturally red hair with an thick aqua streak in it that is so perfectly complementary to both her face and the rest of her hair. I love it!
Selma Blair with her Gap hair, or anybody who can work short hair. So jealous!
Mos def Rihanna’s cute and trim bob. Must be hard to maintain or grow out but it always just looks impeccable.
It totally screams elegance and confidence and groovy-chic. Some girls (like me) really have to work to pull off the short hair!
Second hair heroine: Rapunzel. Who am I kidding?
I-I...THIS WILL SOUND LIKE SUCKING UP but I am ridiculously jealous of YOUR hair! It has inspired me to try weird colors as I get older!
And maybe Reita from GazettE. :D
Kat Von D!!!
Angelina Jolie and my close friend, Nina.
I challenge people to find more beautiful hair than my friend Nina’s. It’s not beautiful because of it’s quality or shine (although she does have amazing volume), but because she is a true artist when she styles it. Her hair sometimes resembles the perfect sized bird’s nest, with twists and clipped up braids, or a braided headband made of her own hair wrapped around her head, or beautiful tendrils, waves and curls. Her hair has all these amazing things, but with a bit of indie edge, shall we say. It’s a little messy, very asymmetrical, and looks totally easy. I just love it. She’s a really amazing girl with impeccable taste. Too bad I don’t have a picture to show you all! Anyway, I’m totally jealous of all the things she can do with her hair. It makes mine feel so blah blah boring.
Angelina’s hair, there’s really not much to say about it—it’s beautiful, lustrous, sexy like a sex-worker, sensual like a goddess, and even a bit demure like a housewife. It really captures the dualities of her personality, and it’s always wonderful! It gives naturally darker haired girls (like myself) some hope. My hair is always SO RANDOM, I never know how to make it look good. It would be nice to have that flat iron because I don’t own one at all! I cut my own hair (for money reasons, not to be cool, haha), and don’t have any tools to really shape it. (Please, Misikko Gods, bless me!)
Betty Page! She has the most beautiful haiirr!!
I’ve never seen anybody with the hair I dream of (long and wavy and cherry red) but I think Lucy Lui has the most incredible shiny thick beautiful hair.
I’ve always adored the Olsen twins and their beachy waves. From having naturally pin-straight hair, I’ve managed to convince myself that all hairstyles can look gorgeous with the right intensity of wave.
Still, I’ve recently learned to love Ashlee Simpson’s sleek, red hair. Makes me wanna go red again!! :D
I know it’s silly, and tons of people would probably have already said this, but I adore your hair and all its various colours! I can’t colour mine as it’s waaaay too dark. =(
Frida Kahlo’s hair promotes individuality!
<3 You should embrace your heritage
<3 Don’t be afraid of being unique
<3 If you wear it with confidence you’ll wear it best
<3 You don’t have to change yourself for others (unibrow, moustache, etc)
<3 Your body is art.
i want long red hair! so Debra Messing or Jenny Lewis give me major hair envy.
Isla Fisher!
miss zoetica ebb! short spiked and royal blue… swoon! if only med school would let us dye our hair beautiful colors… I guess other people disagree, but I would definitely go to a physician that had pink and blue hair (:
and since I’m currently rocking the platinum blond look, definitely miss agyness deyn, there is something ridiculously sexy about her haircut. and also my friend jen, who has a similar style and looks damn fine with it.
and finally! who could resist miss gala darling’s fabulous long pink locks…
My ultimate hair idolization spawns from the godly mane of Hayley Williams. Hayley Williams is the lead singer of Paramore, and she is a goddess. She’s original, she’s talented, and she proves that girls can sing rock music.
But her hair…I can’t even fully put into words my idolization. I used to be a straight up ginger, but now my hair has faded to an auburn…
Her ability to rock red hair of every shade is an inspiration, and a godsend. For a while, it was the color of fire, which showed her fiery attitude and I LOVED it. It’s also been fire engine red, which shows you that rocker chicks can also pull off sophistication with the same hair color they stage dive with.
True, its been blonde, which I also envy, because she shows us that blone chicks can have bleached roots and not bleached brains. Fight the stereotypes, Hayley! :)
It’s not relaxed straight either. For the most part, it’s wild and crazy, just like her! It shows she doesn’t just go with the flow, which makes me feel so much better about my ridiculous curly bob. No one quite has her hair (Though some have tried), and no one quite has my hair either!
Long, short, fire engine, yellow, crazy, straight, it doesn’t matter! Her hair shows how she is that day, and if it’s not perfect, then she’s alright with it. I love Hayley, and I love what she stands for, and most of all…I want to have a secret love affair with her HAIR! ♥♥♥
Elvira, the Bride of Frankenstein, and pin-up girls!
Definitely shannyn sossamon
:)
I love a classic… marilyn is my goddess
Farrah Fawcett, of course, darling! Such body with such shine gives me major hair envy. _
Audrey Kitching.
Casadee Pope, lead from Hey Monday.
Hayley Williams, lead from Paramore.
Gwen Stefani and my good friend Jessa whose hair looks as awesome after a full day hiking as it does for a night on the town.
Blake Lively!!
Rachel Bilson! i love her. her hair is GORGEOUS.
Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani and Leighton Meester
LOVE their hair
i love lauren conrad’s hair!
i looooove princess jasmine’s hair!
Cat Power, Rachel McAdams, Irina Lazareu (sp?) and Amy Adams.
I loooove the super messy (yet super stylish) hair that the Olsen twins have. On them it looks so chic and effortless – on me, it would look like I couldn’t be bothered to do my hair. Sigh.
I get my hair envy from Catalina from Space cases, an old Nickelodeon show.
She had the most amazing rainbow hair
Here’s a picture:

oh man, i must admit, jennifer aniston, still. circa like ’02. all shiny and lovely! ugh, so jealous.
Anna Friel – Chuck from pushing daisies, I loveeee how perfect it is.
Joanna Newsom,
She’s able to pull off bangs nicely.. but also looked great that flowing natural look. :D
x
Hmm…hairspiration, huh?
In terms of animated characters (oh, come on, we all know that they can get away with the craziest hairstyles!) I’d have to say the cast of Sailor Moon. All those colors and cuts and styles were so beautiful. They’re probably the biggest factor in me growing my hair long nowadays : )
In terms of upkeep and richness of color, I’ve always admired Jennifer Connelly. Her hair exudes health! Also, Kate Winslet is a master of keeping her hair both immaculate and wild where appropriate – from blue hair in Eternal Sunshine to lush red curls in Titanic, she’s got guts in both roles and the looks it takes to make them whole.
Rock on!
jean seberg.
she just looked so perfect with the short short hair and the cute.
Gala Darling.
I’m jealous of how you can pull off being so wise and positive about things. You’re beautiful and unique. I love it!
agyness dean! she is able to pull off so many different hairstyles :)
Youuuu! I am jealous of your hair so much it hurts!
I’m asian so the korean singer BoA is my hair envy since she can pull off feminine and short styles.
i must say, Audrey Kitching and Raquel Reed are big ones for me.
also, Linda Strawberry. i am so in love with her version of purple people-eater hair, it’s insane.
but i think my top choice would be Vesper Suicide from SG. the green hair reminds me of oscar the grouch, but in the best possible way. i liked it short and kind of shaggy. it’s cute, messy and perfect in almost every way!
Natalie Portman! Love love love!
red hair.
i am super duper jealous or anyone who has natural red hair. but a celebrity would HAVE to be lady gaga. i wish my hair were that long.. and i could pull off the bleached blond look. that would be lovely.
There is one girl in my class who has the most AWESOME curly, bright red long hair! It would look totally ridiculous on me, but on her it’s amazing! and i wish I had it!
Dita von teese! Those classic waves and up dos, its so thick and luscious and always in place! What a vixen!
Dear Gala,
I love this woman’s hair.

The caption reads:
“I was chit-chatting with Susan after I took this picture and mentioned that I thought her hair was sooo beautiful – her best feature.
She said thanks and added that she had lost her hair once because of cancer. She now purposely keeps it long because she feels it is such a gift to have it back and, for her, a sign of life.”
She is so beautiful!
I love Tracee Eliis Ross’ hair!! So big and curly and free!!
I love Audrey Hepburn’s hair – and everything else about her.
I want Nelly Furtado’s hair, I love it most with bangs…and on the subject of bangs, I also love Zooey Deschanel’s.
I too love Raquel Reed’s hair!! I’m so very tempted to dye my hair turquoise/aqua. :(
My other would have to be Ayumi Hamasaki. Don’t know much about her as a singer but she manages to pull off every colour and style so perfectly.
Marla Singer, and the fetish model of the same name.
Apnea
Hollie Swain
Aprella
One girl walks by the shop I work at every day. She’s gorgeous, but her hair is her crowning glory. It’s a beautiful shade of natural red and long and straight. Everyone at the store (regardless of gender or orientation) has a crush on her and her hair! Seems everyone outside does too… we always see her with a different cute guy around town, and these guys are ALWAYS touching her hair in a cute, affectionate way as they walk around. I have the same color as her, but would die for her length and cute bangs!
Too late? Too addled to try and figure out!
The Lady of Shalott in the Waterhouse painting, to be quite honest! :)
Alison sudol of a Fine Frenzy
Martine McCutcheon has incredibly shiny hair. I wonder what she uses?
