You know how last week I said it was the last day of the iCiNG Days Of Christmas? Well… I lied! Haha! But it was a lie I told you because I love you. Will you forgive me?
I got an email from my incredible friend Molly Crabapple a few days ago, saying she really wanted to be involved, & offered up a prize that was way too cool to turn down!
& really… Are any of you actually working right now? No, I didn’t think so either. Frivolity ++!
So, you all know who Molly is, right? She’s an incredible illustrator, the founder of Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, a true New Yorker & best of all… She’s my birthday twin! (Same year & everything!)

I would wear this outfit to a picnic by the river on christmas day. We would have a pink picnic rug, lots of cupcakes, lemon slice, iced tea, and big creamy slices of sponge cake. Everyone would be required to dress up pretty, and we would dance to silly rap songs and girl talk and drink cranberry juice cocktails. We would all get drunk and the local police would come and dance with us, because we would all be far too pretty and dressed up to arrest!

I’d roll out of bed, slip on some seamed stockings (maybe opaques if it’s really cold) and sling on the plethora of silk slips discarded on my bedroom floor. Layer upon layer with a glorious lace shrug and tux jackets and super-long cardis and maybe even a buttery soft Balenciaga biker. All beautiful black. A few gold strand necklaces and a luxurious slouchy black leather bag. Olsen twin bedhead hair and Eva Mendes’ immaculate make-up… I like juxtaposition… Comfy cosy Uggs for the journey to the boyfriend’s parents’ then maybe slip into a pair of Louboutins. Then I’d be like a ‘pass the parcel’ for my boy, letting him indulge in the memories as I peel of each layer of silk… just considering Xmas night… That would be pretty amazing… wow…

It’s a rock ‘n’ roll holiday: because I celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, I chose to honor them both in my set. My ideal Christmas outfit would be a pair of skinny grey jeans under a leopard print tunic, a leather jacket and a pair of motorcycle boots. I’d accessorize with a dirty watch, a lot of gold bangles, a fringed Prada bag, and some stud earrings. I’d spend my Christmas sharing and exchanging presents, while eating cookies and latkes. Then I’d slip on my customized motorcycle helmet (we’re … using our imaginations here) before setting out with my man Frosty for a ride on my Hanukkah scooter, lighting up the chilly night with five brightly lit candles. What a rocking Christmas!

I walk down the grey cobble stone streets of Marseilles. The clock rings 12. “Merry Christmas,” I say to no one in particular. The streets are empty and the only sound now are my heels clicking away. A man is supposed to meet me at the pond in the park, the one near the carousel. Seems strange, even dangerous to meet there at this time of night, but I didn’t ask any questions. He might have disappeared if I had. The extra pair of footsteps behind me is making me nervous. Who would be out on Christmas night? The footsteps move quicker the closer he gets. He’s right behind me now, I can feel the heat of his breath against my neck. His hand reaches around my neck. He pulls me close to him with a firm, but playful grip. As he kisses my neck, I know he’s my man.
