International Dress-Up Day #003
[ 25 April 2007 ]
Saturday the 21st of April was International Dress-Up Day #003. The theme this time was to throw yourself an unbirthday party, & it was so much fun! I was in a great position because it was my mother’s birthday party that night, so everything went very well for me. I drank pink cocktails, ate profiteroles, wore a tiara, danced around the living room & had a really good time in general.
Without further ado, photographic evidence!

My tiara served me well.

Dancing by the front door.

Gasp!

My mother is so glamorous & awesome & she was SIXTY on Thursday!

My dad & I :D

John looks good in a tiara too.
Super-love & cupcakes,

I know how you never used to smile in photos but you look like such cute little button when you smile in the picture with your dad. That may be why you didn’t smile. Not everyone likes to be a cute little button. And i see that your still wearing tights.
Your parents must have been totally hot when they were younger (still hot now!)
I love the fairy lights hanging down like a curtain, great party decoration idea..
The first photo of you and your dad is so lovely!
And the one of your mum. Of course.
PS Love your necklace
Deanna — Yeah, it was reeeally cold & they added some warmth. Plus I like them!
x Sarah x — I took some photos of old pictures of my mother in some seriously cool outfits, I’ll post them soon!
Nadine — Thank you sweetness. I got your text on Sunday, it was very exciting! You are a dear.
Your mother is absolutely stunning. What a stylish and attractive family!
YOU ARE SO CUTE!!!! i agree with the above commenters about your smile.
and you look just like your dad – which is a good thing, because he’s very handsome.
these photos please me infinitely. I’ve been missing my daily dose of Gala & am preparing a large package for you! soon to come.
Thank you ‘Tine! My mother is gorgeous, an eternal inspiration to me. One of my friends has a crush on my father but that’s a bit creepy! Haha!
Maryyyy Beeee! I never saw the physical similarities between my father & I until some time last year, but in that left-hand-side photo of us where our heads are on the same angle, the resemblance is undeniable! & I look forward to the package!
Your mother is stunning! She looks more like she just turned 40 and not 60! You’ve got some good genes. :-)
You and your dad = twins… in a good way of course!
It looks and sounds like you had a good time… win!
Anna Rose — Yeah, I did… unfortunately it was that night (& subsequent lack of sleep) which left me so incredibly devoid of energy on Sunday! Boo!
awww how cute, you look just like ur mom, ur right she gorgeous beautiful, now that’s what u call aging gracefully!!!
wow your dad has such nice, friendly eyes :) he reminds me a little of Robin Williams and that is a good thing! Its so nice that you could have been over here for your mum’s bday – lucky for you all! Will you be letting us in on the purchases you made on your holiday? I would love to be a nosey nana and see what treasures you scored!!
Emma — Of course! The pieces will be making an appearance over the next wee while in my daily outfit photos… providing it cools down sometime soon! Everything I got is winter wear, but it’s still hitting the mid-twenties every day here!
your mom is a hottie.
I also must say that I have been reading your blog and Im addicted.
