International Dress-Up Day #003 Theme Suggestions!

[ 9 April 2007 ]

Hello my darlings!

Let me know your thoughts for International Dress-Up Day on the 21st of April…

I thought maybe we could have an unbirthday celebration, where we all get kitted up as birthday girls or boys & surround ourselves with balloons, cakes & tiaras. Or maybe a ‘dress up as your childhood ambition’ kind of thing.

What do you think?!

Super-love & cupcakes,
Gala <3

  2. That sounds great – especially cause the 20th is my birthday. It’ll feel like my birthday is just continuing!

  3. um. is it a problem if you already surround yourself with cakes, balloons and tiaras on a regular basis?

no matter! it will just be a new excuse to get another tiara!

  4. I do too, but you know! It’d still be fun!

It’s actually my mother’s birthday party that night, so I wouldn’t have any shortage of props. Hee. It would also make her an automatic participant!

I had an unbirthday party last March one day when I felt bad & it made me feel so much better!

  6. OH yes! I am a self proclaimed birthday terrorist and LOVE birthday parties, my own, other people’s and fake ones too!

  8. Yes, even if people don’t want to have a birthday party, I throw them one and and force them to have cake and balloons and put tacky music on. Because they love it, really…

  10. A birthday theme? Hmmm, I’m not sure what I’d do for that. I mostly spend my birthdays being embarrassed at the attention.

My idea? I just started a new philosophy class, so that’s what my head’s full of: ‘dress as your personal philosophy’, say.

  16. Well, mine would have to be a macabre birthday, because I am costume crewing a show that night, so I have to wear all black when I am backstage helping the actors change costumes.

Can we say dark (black) chocolate cupcakes? Oh yes, I think we can.

  17. Oh birthday!! Glee!

I wonder if I can make a cake to match my outfit …

  18. I might be going to an “Art School Prom” that night, so dressing up would fit right in. :) Awesome!
