“My evil twin is a pink-loving girlie-girl who uses her baby-faced blonde cuteness for ill and not for good. She displays no respect at all for today’s plans to attend the District Council’s Local Area Structure Plan Information Day! Where is the chic? The bold use of bold colour? The aura of competence? Gone with the wind on a trail of breathy giggles!”

Fred Chook:

“Now, to my updress! I didn’t quite dress as my alter ego, or as my evil twin – I took things in a bit of a Jungian spin and dressed as my animus, my yang, my masculine self. It’s my tough, competitive, unforgiving side – so it has a place in my life very infrequently. It’s also the part of me that fights the power, though, which rallies against the bourgeoisie while my yin is uplifting the populace. So, it has a role to play. Sometimes anger is the appropriate emotion. I’d rather be nice, though.”

Anna Rose:

“My alter ego is Ariana, a deep thinking/cat-loving/philosophical & eccentric bookworm. Her pastimes include wandering the globe lonesomely whilst meditating upon life, & occasionally coming up with a good poem. It is whispered that she is actually an exiled Arabian princess, but no-one can be sure. She owns one peacock and sometimes a Bengali tiger paces outside her hut. She can talk to felines and turtles, but that is a secret, of course.”

Regina:

“This is my alter ego. Her name’s Ney Plano pronounced (NAY PLAN-O). She is the hippest dance-electronica-house DJ. She is the DJ for club 1–3—0 in which the location is so secretive I can only disclose that the street it is on starts with a U and ends with an E. She also DJ’s at club Annaj which is in abandoned farmhouse in the countryside away from other houses so that the loud music cannot be heard by anyone.”
