<3 Gala Darling – Interview With Mike Dooley (MP3)
Click to listen now, or save it for later!

Yesterday I was exceptionally fortunate to be able to interview Mike Dooley of Notes From The Universe fame! I met him at his hotel & we proceeded to sit down & natter about life, the universe & everything. I captured it all on my sparkly new dictaphone for your listening pleasure!

Additionally, I went to his lecture last night & it absolutely blew my socks off, & we’re about to head out to his all-day seminar. It’s like Mike Dooley mania up here in the iCiNG Bowl! If anyone in Melbourne has the urge to skip out on work & do something inspiring & fulfilling instead, come along to the seminar! Details here.

I hope you enjoy the interview… we had a lot of fun putting it together for you!

Super-love & cupcakes,
Gala <3

  2. So, so, so inspiring!
“There is nobody listening to this right now, who has a dream, who cannot make it come true.”
How empowering. Thank you so much for sharing this, Gala!

  3. Hi Gala! I LOVED the Mike Dooley interview! I had to laugh because I used to do the ‘pretend interview’ that you mentioned when I was a kid too! Funny.

You must have really enjoyed this one ;)Congratulations x

  4. Wow, thankyou for introducing me to him, I passed over the book in the bookstore, I may end up walking back (again for the third day in the row) to the store to get it tomorrow ;) He talks very well. I would just have loved to be at that workshop. I hope that you had a wonderful time dear Gala.

  5. Gallaaaaa!
Help! What do I wear when I’m helping out?
Tracy said whatever is comftable. But I dont want to go looking like a complete idiot in jeans and a comfy tee.

  6. Bette dear: What are you helping out with, perhaps some of us can help you out if we know what event you are referring to? :)

  9. Wow, what a comforting person to listen to! I subscribed to Notes from the Universe a couple of months ago after hearing about it through you. It’s done a world of good and I really look forward to receiving them!

  10. Bette: Oh thats so wonderful, Depending on what you are doing.

Something Physical : EI decorating/moving chairs etc. I would actually suggest Jeans (Not slumpy ones your nice but moveable ones) a Nice T Or Tank (depending on your comfort level), and a Jacket that makes it all come together smartly (not sure what you have in your wardrobe). Or a really cute sweater (i have a favorite one that seems to miraculously make me look “put together” no matter which jeans and t I’m wearing. Nice earings and A cute yet practical (ei away from the face, and maybe even pulled back) hairstyle. Comfee shoes… this is the one fashion ‘sacrifice’ I always make, I LIVE in my trainers if I am going to be on my feet. Well in summer I have semi-dressy sandals that are super comfee too (if not a lil goth looking..).

Or if you’re greeting, handing out a programme or something, you could go a little less practical, ei dress up the shoes, and wear a cute skirt . I just picture trying to put up banners and signs in a skirt and that’s so not comfee. :) thats just my .02 though.

I’m more of a casual person in day to day life… so ignore my advice if that doesn’t work for you :)

  11. You know those notes are spookily accurate. It is almost scary. Last week got a bit of mullah off my nan because my birthday is coming up [I’l be 25-PANIC] and i was thinking about getting this incredibly pouffy frou frou dress [hey it matched my hair] and asked the die or dice if i should [my way of negating mindless decision making] and it rolled an even number so i ordered, immediately after I order it I check my hotmail for the confirmation and there’s a note saying at the end of it “is the tutu for me, or for you?”

I am going in for a small business loan later this week, nothing major, just i live in the country now and wanted to keep some animals. And the confidence boost I get of those notes kind of spurred me on. I don’t know there is something playful about them, they remind you that you matter, and your thoughts once manifested can make a difference…the notes are a real antidote to watching the news or some boringly sobering thing like that.

  12. i’m not sure i would have ever found out about notes from the universe if it wasn’t for you, Gala Darling!

they really have changed my life and my attitude and added a whole lot of magic in my life.

  13. Why can’t a person engage in positive thinking and make positive changes in their life without buying into the “law” of attraction? To me that is much more impressive and fulfilling.

    Just wondering.

  15. i’ve been recieving the notes from the universe for some time now and i was so excited to hear you were about to interview mr dooley. when i first heard of him i was afraid it would be too, sort of, new age-y for me but i’m loving it big time! he, as well as you, are such an inspiration to me and i’m so grateful i’ve found you both. thank you darling!

  16. Wow, I was having a pretty bad day, but listening to this interview totally boosted my confidence up again! It’s just that sometimes we want precise things to happen right there, right now… and it’s so hard to let it go and let them happen… out of our hands, our of our control….

  17. “Gala darling is that what i should call you? or what is your name name?”
“No, No. It is my name name”
xD absolute brilliance after an amazing interview, Gala.
I always love hearing your voice and accent (even if you don’t like it =])

    Love and Kisses,
    B

  18. Thanks for making tdhis interview for us !

Hmmm… the thing he says about giving thanks for something that you want, as if you have recieved it already…
I have read about that in Linda Goodman’s Star Signs. I recommend everyone to take a look at that book :-)
