Nippies Giveaway!

[ 11 October 2007 ]

Nippies

I was recently the recipient of a couple of pairs of Nippies. What are Nippies?, I hear you ask. Well, my darling! Nippies are the next frontier in preventing fashion mishaps! Nippies are nipple covers — but not those awful beige ones that look like you’ve had surgery done. Nippies are sexy, colourful, playful & flirtatious by their very nature! I am officially in love with them!

Once I put them on, I seriously didn’t want to take them off. I wore them all day, feeling like a sexy burlesque superstar.

I recently bought a tennis dress from the Stella McCartney for Adidas range. I love it, but in a shocking oversight, they’ve made the fabric in the bust thin & slightly transparent. As they say in Girlfriend magazine, “How Embarrassment!” Thankfully, Nippies are the perfect solution for any dress which is a bit see-through, though I am sure my imparting this knowledge invokes the ire of men everywhere!

Nippies

As well as offering peace of mind for those of us who love strapless or low-cut dresses, Nippies would be perfect for burlesque dancers, Burning Man attendees or even slapped on the arm as a bit of sparkly accompaniment to a simple black dress.

Well, enough of me prattling on about how I love them. I want to give you the opportunity to experience the fabulousness for yourself! Nippies & I have partnered up & I am delighted to offer 5 lucky vixens a pack of Nippies each!

All you have to do is write to me telling me about an occasion where Nippies would help you out or save your dignity! Please also include your name, address, & which pair of Nippies most tickles your fancy! Check the website for the full range!

Super-love & cupcakes,
Gala <3

  1. What a fabulous giveaway. I am a fan of these myself and have used them super successfully, as have many of my friends.
In Japan nipple action is a BIG no no so pasties/nippies are very popular here.
    They have a gorgeous site!

  2. I found out about your blog from Cosmo. I love it.

Can you buy Nippies in Melbourne?

  3. aiieee. I don’t wear shirts/dresses/tops that bare my cleavage…so I’m defenitly not a candidate for these. Don’t consider me, I’m sure they’ll go to someone who has a use for them =D In the Agent Provacateur shop at Selfridges in London they had something similar, though they weren’t called nippies. They were also a lot more highend, loads of tassles and such. I’m sure it’ on their website =)

  5. i’ve seen ‘possum-fur nipple warmers’ in NZ but i’m pretty much against fur so never wanted to purchase them for that reason!

  8. maybe it’s just me, but I find those black criss-cross nipple covers that a lot of the suicidegirls wear in their burlesque performances super-hot :D

  9. Just in case anyone was wondering, the entries I am getting for this contest are AMAZING! But I totally wasn’t prepared to hear about so much nipple trauma, hahaah!

sushizume — Nipples are such a no-no everywhere, it’s weird! Men can strut around, nipples akimbo, but women? Nah-uh. Silly. Imagine if Janet Jackson had ripped Justin’s shirt to reveal his tawdry nipple covered in a sparkly star? That would have been the moment of the CENTURY!

Kimberly — I don’t know, actually! It might be worth checking the website for stockists or alternatively, emailing them about it!

natasja — That is truly terrifying…

rachel radness — Seashells would be awesome, what a great idea! My favourites are the turquoise sparkly hearts, love them sooo much!

jennosoprano — OH I love you TOO Miss Soprano!

Gem — Yeah, they’re very saucy!

  10. I agree that it’s weird that nipples are such a no-no. Mmmmmh … I’m usually a bra girl, but these are so cute and fun that I’m nearly thinking there doesn’t really have to be another reason for wearing them … ;-) But if I had to state a reason, I think they could be useful when wearing a strapless party dress, “just in case”, and at the same time you’d feel extra-special and secretly glittery. I think that secret knowledge would put a big smile on my face during a party! My favourite ones are the pewter sequined stars. :-) And I think that seashell idea is genius!

    <3 Eva · Oct 11, 05:44 PM · #
  11. Eva — Ya, they’re pretty amazing! I basically walked around topless all day & kept yelling, “LOOK AT ME!” at my boyfriend. Haha! Not that he minded ;D

    <3 Gala · Oct 11, 05:46 PM · #
  12. Gala – Sorry, but nippies are definitely not for me. I think I would rather people could see through my top than stick those things on.

Who on earth invented them? And am I getting this right – do you actually stick them on the outside of your clothes?

    <3 CatherineL · Oct 11, 11:22 PM · #
  13. INSIDE, dear CatherineL(ovely & the Great). When braless events and occasions arise.

    Stay cool

    <3 Sarah Decay · Oct 12, 01:39 AM · #
  14. CatherineL — No! They go over your actual breast. So that if you pop out of a dress, or you want to pretend to be a burlesque superstar in nothing but your underpants, you can keep your nipples on the “down low”!

    <3 Gala · Oct 12, 05:02 AM · #
  15. I’ve always been afraid to go bra-less because I feel saggy (I am rather, ahem, well-endowed I guess). On their website it said they could be supportive underneath as well… anyone tried that? I LOVE the look so much!

    <3 ocg · Oct 12, 11:06 PM · #
  16. Interesting, can these be reapplied, or are you paying $15 for a one time use?

    <3 ☆sora · Oct 13, 01:03 AM · #
  17. [to continue]

These would be AWESOME for tanning. If they are not disposable, then I will buy a pair immediately, hehe.
