Say hello to my little friend! By which, of course, I mean my dolphin buddy! Now, look. It might seem a little early to be discussing swimsuits, but I assure you, it’s not, especially when it’s perpetual summer in California! While we were in Palm Springs, Kat, Shauna and I were intent on getting as much sunshine on our frozen bodies as possible.

I gotta tell you, as soon as I stepped off the plane at LAX, I was so glad I had taken 15 minutes to get a little colour at Gotham Glow. Meow!

As for the swimsuit, well, I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s a mix-and-match bikini from Urban Outfitters: I picked the striped racerback bikini top and matching high-waist bikini bottoms. I normally don’t do high-waist swimsuits, but this time I was delighted (and feeling quite 1920’s sassy, to boot). Comfortable and inexpensive — who could ask for more?!

In case you’re wondering, my hat is from American Apparel. I own it in several colours (black, royal blue, fuchsia, plum) and it’s completely brilliant: throw-it-in-your-suitcase-and-go chic. My Swarovski crystal-encrusted heart-shaped sunglasses are from Etsy (I think). I’ve had them a long time! I packed them away when heart-shaped sunglasses were all the rage, and now that the furor has died down, it’s time to rock ’em again…
