“what doesn’t transmit light creates its own darkness.” – marcus aurelius
“This too shall pass”
Beautiful, kind of like there is a night but then day will always come
I like it :].
It reminds me of “Do not fear the darkness, for that is when the stars shine their brightest.”
Can’t remember who said it, though.

=)
nice one. i feel like the important thing is to balance the light and the dark. life is both, too much of either is a bad thing. but you need a little of both (hopefully more light though).
this is my favourite quote ever : “blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light.” groucho marx.
reminds me of leonard cohen:
there is a crack – a crack in everything – that’s how the light gets in.
I love that everytime I come on here, exactly what i need is staring me right in the face. I’ve really been struggling this week but irmak, i’m sticking your quote on my wall now!
Mina Loy:
BUT the Future is only dark from outside.
Leap into it—and it EXPLODES with Light.
Lovely quote Gala. Reminds me of:
It is better to try to light a candle than to curse the dark.
—ancient Chinese proverb
Ahh, RIP.
i think i like that one the most. it can be used almost in every situation. old good budda:
‘things arent what they seem to be they’re not different either’
Budda Siakajmuni, prince Siddhartha Gautama
(erm i translated it from polish, so i’m not sure if this is as it may be known in english)
there is no such thing as dark, just a lack of light.
