Three outfits I would love to wear this summer…
Amanda Lepore t-shirt, acid wash denim shorts (Lux), suspenders (Savile Row), black straw fedora, 24k plastic tote bag (Betseyville), crystal & lucite heart necklace (Tarina Tarantino) & red patent leather open-toe heels (rsvp).
Polka-dot open-back dress (Urban Outfitters), Merri heels (Betsey Johnson), glow in the dark skeleton backpack (Hot Topic), heart sunglasses, green heart necklace, silver heart lockets & grey knit hoodie (all from Delia*s).
Polka-dot halter dress (Betsey Johnson), Russian naval officer’s ushanka hat, coquine pink satin slingbacks (Christian Louboutin).
I would surely be the cutest thing this side of the equator.

Oh my, that Betsey Johnston dress is the loveliest thing ever. And you would look FABULOUS in it.
As it inches towards winter here in London, I picked up two pairs of tights today – turquoise and bright pink – I think I was inspired by a certain Ms Darling to be my most vibrant self in the middle of the gray British winter :)

You know what? I have a gray pencil skirt – very secretary, with a side slit :) Perfect. I was actually thinking of wearing it with a black miniskirt, ballet pumps and a cap-sleeve tee. But maybe I should try and rock the secretary-goes-psychedelic route – complete with a blouse and all. My colleagues will certainly be much amused :) Thanks for the suggestion!

Maybe you could…although it seems unorthadox, you could write an article on cool (excuse my pun) winter wear? I’ve been wearing the same long beige (YES, BEIGE) parka for the last couple of years.

And here is the ONE SINGLE con about this blog for me: I live in North Eastern USA. ^^ When I first saw the headline I was like “Wait…what..? No!” I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have summer in December.
The first outfit is very Britney Spears…..and I’ve been wanting a grey knit hoodie so I can act like a celebrity in disguise.

I ended up scooting over to her website & voila! she lives a few blocks from me & is going to burning man! i invited her to my LA burner gathering. I do hope a friendship is sparked! I ended up only getting to talk to her briefly & ended up splashing martinis everywhere, but she had Bebop take a photo of us together. I think i look quite soused.

I HATE winter, I hate to have four layers of clothe on me and looking fat and the unsually cold weather this year (it freakin snowed here and it NEVER does o_o!)...I just want August to finish so spring begans at last, and fly kites in the beach, and be able to wear cute little dresses!! :P
Hahaha. Like a few other people on here, I saw the article name and went “...hunh?” But then it dawned on me. I would flip out if it was December and I wasn’t constantly wrapped in a scarf. :)
It’ll be winter here soon and I’m SO GLAD. It’s been unbearably hot this summer. The temperature of 90-100 almost every day wouldn’t be so bad if the humidity wasn’t around 80%. You gotta love the Southern US….

Seriously! She’s always wearing a fedora and short shorts! I dunno about the heart necklace though, she’d probably just wear used condoms cigarette ashes instead. Anyways I think shes coming back into style…check out the new Allure (USA) magazine shoot, its really pretty.
I have a lovely old ushanka, complete with sickle & hammer badge! It gets a lot of wear in winter, heh!
err… to be honest, i check out britney’s outfits quite often recently, just so i have one more thing each day to giggle about. the allure shoot has stylists. i really think britney needs psychiatric help!! (i checked the commenting policy but i do apologise if i stepped over the line…)
back to the clothes, i think you’ll look fantastic in all 3 get-ups!! i love the russian hat. you’re lucky you don’t get humid crazy summers in australia!
and i love suspenders. i have like 4 in different colors. to dress yours up a bit, just use a cheap pair, then either carefully sew or carefully glue a string of sequins onto the suspenders! that’ll really up the bling-bling factor and dress up the outfit a little bit more. to go with the outfit, try black! (since gold suspenders, necklace and bag would be too much.) i have a pair of super shiny silver suspenders, one in gold, and a super bling-bling black one (made with beads, sequins and more). they’re all very very useful in a wardrobe!
I totally can see you in that amanda lepore t-shirt and that russian hat….if someone can rock them is you!!...and you have turn me in a Tarina Tarantino fan… I would own one of her amazing beautiful necklaces soon :)
lol! sorry…it’s heading for autumn here! I so wish I could be where you are and look forward to summer as well… on the flip side – I just found the perfect coat for autumn! Yay! Black and kneelenght and it actuallt fits my body. Wow.
Glow-In-The-Dark Skeleton Backpack!!! Yes, yes, yes! And I’m not the only person in my house lovin’ it, either.
I see people putting together these outfit-montages all over the place, but (due to some failing on my part?) I don’t get them. I find it really hard to imagine all those things worn at once (OK, I can manage the last pink outfit with only 3 components!), and I find it impossible to make any kind of judgement on the success or otherwise of the ensemble without seeing it ON someone and taking their figure and colouring into account. Which is why I looove your daily outfit photos! (And also why I never buy anything without trying it on.)

Brittany — A lot of time, & Photoshop! Find the items somewhere, save the images, crop, resize, etc., stick onto white background, move things around accordingly.
gilda — Crazy hot summers? We get them. It hit about 113 regularly last summer. It was kind of like being at Burning Man… except in the city. Whew. I will happily suffer for fashion though!
Nadine — I know what you mean. It seems like there are girls who make these collages EVERY DAY & it took me HOURS to make those three! Seriously, at least three hours. Nightmare. It was fun but not necessarily a very productive use of time ;D

But seriously, I prefer cooler weather. That means I can drag out my handknitsweaters, carry a cup of coffee with me everywhere, and indulge in huge swooshy coats/scarves etc.
Layering is love.
Loving fedoras right now and will live in them this summer. I hope you and I are the only girls in Melbourne to wear them!!! Psh.
And so not Britney because I won’t be wearing jeans that are too small for me with my bum hanging out.

hoho we all suffer. 113!! that’s higher than i thought. but it doesn’t get humid does it? in singapore, everyday is hot and humid. in japan, summers are the WORST THING EVER. it’s humid humid and people it’s such a concrete jungle, the heat comes up from the roads and practically bakes you. everyone’s sticky and gross and…ugh. then make up runs and everything goes sliding down your couture. hee hee. i have a similar russian hat though, and it goes with EVERYTHING!
Love them all – but ADORE, LOVE AND HAVE TO HAVE the first outfit!

(We have a beautiful red fish her name is Amanda named after the devine Miss Amanda and her super shiny lips – our Amanda swims around in a monster brandy glass with sparkling pink jewels, just the way she likes it! We love both of the Amandas very much!)

gilda — It gets up to about 80% humidity max. So it’s not HIDEOUSLY humid, usually more of a dry heat, but god, heat is heat & anything sucks when it comes to a weather extreme! Your typical Melbourne summer day feels like god forgot to close the oven door… :<
