Things I Love Thursday
I think we should all own this poster… yes?

Okay, well, I am really sad about Alexander McQueen… But the show goes on, doesn’t it? Here are some things which made me smile this week…

<3 Delicious morsels included… Watching The Puppy Bowl instead of the Superbowl; Irish Rose cocktails (Jameson, gin, elderflower, rose, gingerale) at Thor; taking outfit photos in the East Village with Chloeface; adhesive heating pads (Chloe gave me a packet of them, I wish I had been using them all winter!); presenting awards at Fashion 2.0; JAZZI!; good chocolate; ticking off a lot of things on my to do list; “I will not participate in this monstrosity!!!”; laughing & laughing & laughing with Molly & Katelan; The Glitch Mob; “You are my arch-nemesis” “Write an article about it”; planning outfits; the exhilaration & lunacy of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week; harmonica earrings & strawberry-stealers; drunk eating!; being The Star; dreaming about covering a wall with holographic paper; I fell in love with this dog on Sunday; “Weeeeeeeee-ooooooooooo!”; The Hood Internet; having a full calendar (kind of satisfying in a sick way?); Daria making it to DVD!; making appointments with your favourite makeup artist; tweeting with Betsey Johnson; walking in thick fresh snowy powder; seriously ridiculous weather & the names given to it — “monster snow”, “snowmageddon” et al; cute text messages (“I’m watching you live on the internet, I feel like a creep”); goodie bags; Hanky; wearing multicoloured neon feathers in my ears; fortuitous taxi appearances & sweet drivers (“That sure is a fancy dress”); hats which look like raspberries & wearing sequinned dresses with motorcycle boots; sweet compliments; scotch & gingerale; the end of the blizzard & big blue skies; <3<3<3; the launch of Sugarpill !!!!! (I have been waiting for this for a long time, plus I have been a fan of Ms. Shrinkle forEVER!); looking forward to some major fashion week ridiculousness; EXCLAMATION POINTS (shocking, I know); !!!; #radicalselflove; OvernightPrints.com ESPECIALLY when you use a discount code (I used hm500 & got 500 business cards FREE, all I had to do was pay shipping! WHAT!); Miles Aldridge regularly shooting for Teen Vogue (the perfect pairing, for sure); FAB news from my favourite digital fashion maven, plus it’s meant to get up to 35° F today (1.6° C! Positively BALMY!) & this video…

Things I Love Thursday

“If you send out goodness from yourself, or if you share that which is happy or good within you, it will all come back to you multiplied ten thousand times. In the kingdom of love there is no competition; there is no possessiveness or control. The more love you give away, the more love you will have.”
(John O’Donohue)

Amy from shrinkle, i love her work. She always makes me so happy with it. Such a pity that all cool, pink loving , creative girls live so far away from me:S Like, Tarina Tarantino for example. Why do they all live i the usa?

  5. Getting electricity back, buying my domain name and starting to build an actual website for my blog! Muldoon prancing around in the snow, The Magician going into full on survival mode in which he got the gas fireplace working and trekked out into the snow to rescue friends who also didn’t have heat or electricity, the sweet bulldozer who plowed out our entire driveway, getting a call from the Ouidad salon to be a hair model next weekend!

Radical Self Love, planning tattoos, spending last weekend with two of my best friends, my dog playing in the snow, cleaning, imaginary online shopping sprees, polyvore, writing myself and my best friend into a romantic comedy to lift our spirits, making a list of things to buy for my vacation to Jamaica next month, Music, Sugarpill, high heels, and dance parties!

  9. Oh my god, Thor – I went there once and turned on my heel when I saw that they were charging $19 for mixed drinks. On a weeknight. And you’d have to elbow like 20 Zooey Deschanel lookalikes out of the way to get to the bar in the first place. Just not my scene, I think I ended up traipsing my dressed-up self over to a leather daddy night over on Christopher Street and having a great time anyway. :) I hear the food @ Thor is amazing, though, what’d you have?

Also the reviews on their Yelp page are hilarious. :D

    All together now, “awwwwww”!

  24. I watched the puppy bowl, too! I loved the kitty half time special. How even with all of the flashing lights, spinning doodads and brightly colored confetti, there were still kittens who fell asleep. So adorable.

What do I love this Thursday? – The pure good feeling I get after exercising, even if it sucks during the workout. – The confidence to wear brightly colored makeup – My totem-adorned #radicalselflove bible. – Hanging out with friends and talking for hours. – A breakfast of peanut butter-laden oatmeal. – Rotary cutter and self-healing cutting mat to help cut fabric for my creations. 27. I think it sad that we won’t be seeing more clothes by Mr. McQueen. What I am grateful for is the fact that so many people have been showing how much they loved his clothes, his work, and him as a person.

This week, I’m so grateful for:
-Seeing my friends go after their dreams
    -The song Post-War by M.Ward…. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mys1aC…
-The wonderful work of William Shakespeare and having the opportunity to deliver his beautiful words
-Conditioner that makes my oh so damaged hair feel like silk
-Having my friend write me a secret note that said “Trust”
-Taking down the address of a very handsome boy who I fully intend to smother with letters (not in a stalker way)

Well, that makes 2 wonderful, creative, fabulous men in just 3 short weeks…one from natural causes, he was very old after all, 91 or 92…Mr. J.D Salinger writer of some extraordinary short stories and the very adventurous, fearless, and FUN Mr McQueen…It is hard to say goodbye even when you didn’t actually know them personally! That doesn’t mean that we are any less sorry to see them go! Long live fashion designers with the kind of huts pah Alexander had and writers who can write just a few books that go on to mean so much for generations to come! Well done gentlemen and CHEERS! Okay, so who’s up for a little “radicalselflove” Gala style? I think we need it more than ever today! Love you all, lets feel good about ourselves and our place in the universe! Big hugs ALL AROUND!

  70. O.M.G. Daria on DVD. I’ve been waiting forever and the time has finally arrived.

This week I am thankful that someone abused my kindness and managed to get themselves a promotion off my hard work and generosity. It made me angry and bitter for a bit there, but I learnt how much I play a role in allowing things like that to happen. I’m still going to be kind and helpful, but to myself as well.
