Things I Love Thursday

<3 Planned domesticity — I have started planning how my apartment in New York is going to look. I cannot even tell you how excited I am. I haven’t lived on my own — in my own place — since 2006, which feels like it was a very long time ago. I am getting all delighted about colour schemes, the sort of kitchen implements I’ll buy (not that I cook), what I’ll hang on the wall, bedding, rugs, lamps, awesome gear for my writing area… I’m going to resurrect my rainbow of vintage typewriters, & put pictures of my friends all over the walls, & have pink striped bedsheets. Probably. & I am DYING to go to a secondhand bookshop & stock up! I am going to take one of those grandma carts that you usually put your groceries in, & trundle them back to my house with an enormous grin on my face. Bliss-o-rama, for real!

<3 Looking forward to things! Here is a brief list. I am looking forward to… Working side-by-side with Nubby at Darling HQ in New York City; seeing Helen this weekend (I haven’t seen her in well over 2 years!); seeing Skelerina on Monday (ditto on 2 years!); going dancing this weekend; being in Auckland in January (there are so many people because it’s Big Day Out time, I have heaps of friends there who I adore & the weather & energy is totally perfect); giving away amazing prizes as part of the iCiNG 13 Days Of Christmas!; kicking it with Sammy, Zoetica, Lumi, Star & Violet in California in February; visiting Florida; being in America full-time; everything! EVERYTHING!

Things I Love Thursday

<3 My holographic unicorn necklace — It’s way too amazing not to warrant its own heart-shaped bulletpoint! I want to go out just so I have an excuse to wear it. Having an accessory or piece of clothing that makes you feel like that is so awesome, & it doesn’t even have to cost you a lot (in my case, about 7 bucks)!

<3 Kanye West & Nas — Yes, I saw them on Tuesday night! First up, 808’s & Heartbreaks is really, really good, despite the autotune madness. I especially like Say You Will, Paranoid & Street Lights. The show was amazing — Kanye & Nas were both brilliant, & I was so thrilled to be able to go. I thought I wouldn’t be able to, but then at the last minute my friend offered me a ticket, so I quickly got dressed, took photos (of course!) & raced out the door! I danced like a complete fooligan, until my back was aching & my feet were incapacitated. It was brill. A++.

I wish this song would really come true, I admit I still fantasize about you…

<3 Free phones! My New Zealand phone stopped working — sad trombone! — but my friend is couriering me a new one! How great is that?! It will be exciting to be able to send text messages again, what a thrill! Haha.

Things I Love Thursday
Exploding Dog forever.

<3 Honourable mentions: John Legend feat. Andre 3000 – Green Light (Three Stacks [Andre] is incidentally the hottest, coolest vegan on the planet); the Grease soundtrack (I swear I will be rocking it in my 70s — & still swooning over Danny Zucco); Placebo’s cover of Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush; immaculate hot pink mani/pedicures; getting work done ahead of time (best feeling in the world); ridiculous frivolous purchases (ice-cream scented bubbles? WHY NOT?!); fake tan (I’ve been using St Tropez mousse & it is BRILLIANT); ...I can’t even write the name of this song because I am so embarrassed that I like it (plz don’t judge); perfect eyebrows (truly satisfying); unexpected emails; Helen & Mama Turk; the fact that someone went to the trouble of making this (a-m-a-z-i-n-g); Beyonce’s Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) which I think is the funniest concept for a song ever (“QUICK GIRLS, GET MARRIED!”) but is also an awesome booty-shake song (you can imagine that if you like); Tim Ferriss (I love his ass); BFFs in Minneapolis!; buying domains in bulk (I’m so excited, YAY new projects!); Will Ferrell as Harry Caray (“HEY!!!”); N.W.A’s “explicit content only” version of Straight Outta Compton & by the way it is sooooo NSFW & I kind of want to make one of those songs my ringtone; my brand spanking new hot pink piggybank from Nadine!; Jake!; pulling my hair back in un petite pomp (like miniature Marie Antoinette!); talking about boys with clever girls, & dark chocolate-covered ginger. Yum.

“Don’t despair too much if you see beautiful things destroyed, if you see them perish. Because the best things are always growing in secret.” — Ben Okri

& you? What had you leaping out of your seat to call your best friend this week?!

Hyper-love & bunny kisses,

  12. I love it when you do “sad trombone”! I’m going to yoink that one. In past I would link to a soundclip of a sad trombone but this is way cuter!

    NYC Secondhand books:
Check out Housing Works on Crosby Street in SoHo. I don’t remember if it has used books or overstock books, but the proceeds go to helping homeless people living with AIDS in the city.
And they have such good good good, cheap coffee at the cafe. :)

  13. I love that you are back in NZ Gala, now I get updates through the day!

+ No more college, ever. It was Leaver’s Day today and I collected my reports, gave presents to my teachers, and generally cut my ties. Four years has come to this.. It’s scary, but it’s good, and it’s exciting!

+ Leaver’s party tonight. I haven’t been to a party or even drinking for a loooong time, it has just been such a full on year, and I am really looking forward to socialise with people I don’t generally see out of school. Hope the weather holds out.

+ That my art teachers are taking me out for lunch next week to thank you for my service to their department! Soo sweet.

+ My gorgeous boyfriend, who comes back from his week in Samoa this Sunday with a Christmas present for me from duty free, swoon.

+ Kanye West, always, though I don’t think I’ll ever dig 808s too much. And my lovely friend Charlie who called me from the Wellington concert so I could listen to him perform Good Life live! (and because she’s giving me shutter shades.)

    Welcome to the good life….

  16. First! Let me just say that you do NOT need an excuse to wear a sparkly unicorn necklace.

    And now – TiLT –

    1. Taking things as they come! My pod has suddenly gone missing (sad trombone!), but it probably left for a reason (maybe it was ashamed that it’s little menu button was so overused that it stopped working). Hence, I will commence buying myself one new rainbow-hued pod. I haven’t decided on a color yet.

    2. Having a mention on Carousel, along with the most wonderful and inspiring Wayne Coyne.

    3. Boyfriends who promise that someday, they’ll buy you a pony and pony accessories (and I KNOW he means it too! That’s the TiLT part!)

    4. Extravagant birthday plans involving an awesome-looking hotel in PDX and some sort of fun still to be determined (Portlanders – what’s hoppin on NYE?)

    5. Almost being done with school. No explanation needed!

    6. Having awesome weekly resolutions (thanks Miss G, since your site inspired that) and being able to stick with them! Progress is amazing!

  20. woooo tilt!
ever since queen marie at kingdom of style used christmas decorations as jewellery i’ve been getting right into it. love the unicorn – my favourite at the moment is a large silver script – ‘peace’. awesome.

my tilt is heavy on the watchables:

    * league of gentlemen. possibly my all time favourite show – i’m terribly glad it’s in the world.

    * watching the original theatrical cut of the first three star wars films.

    * the us version of the office.

    * the lovely boy.

    * the spiegeltent!

    * the fact that there is always a bottle of the cheapest sav blanc available from the local shops in the house.

    * a masquerade party! i need several more of these to justify my tremendously lovely and extremely expensive handmade venetian mask.

    * elton john. crocodile rock keeps appearing at the best possible times, it never fails to make me happy and/or to make me dance like a total fool.

    * neil young at the BDO, baby!

    * buying seven AWESOME books at savers for twelve dollars. score!

    * berry salad. mmm-mmm.

  27. TiLT:
ok this past week has been a literal roller coaster. The highs were very, very high, but the lows were/are very, very low. This is why I love TiLT, it makes me remember the highs. Which were:

    1. Reunion!! University is great but I love and miss my friends so much! They are still remarkably, stupendously, marvelously sweet and fun and I miss them again already!
    2. Thanksgiving presents. Haha family tradition—really gets you in the mood for Chrismtas :)
    3. Moulin Rouge. Between the “Come what may,” “how wonderful life is now you’re in the world,” and “voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?” this movie is possible the most romantic thing of my life. Plus it’s an aesthetic treat, those costumes and set are stunning!
    4. The gym, and the free exercise classes. I love the elliptical and stairmaster and everything, but sometimes I like to bust out super-awkward dance moves in a room full of people looking equally ridiculous while crazy hyper music makes you forget that this is actually a workout :P
    5. Shopping. Especially when you walk into Anthropologie and find a TON of things on sale. And then go stock up some more at a thrift store. My wardrobe is currently in transitional status; I’m phasing out the tacky polyester stuff I adored a few years ago and am bringing in new, much classier, quirkier, nicer stuff!
    6. Casablanca. Mmmmmm there is not a word in the world to describe how I adore this movie. Lovelovelove. Especially love when it’s part of a family movie night.
    7. And on that note, OPI “We’ll Always Have Paris.” Which I haven’t bought yet, but definitely will, mostly for the name, but also because it is a nice color.
    8. Daily Outfit. This is a two-parter. First, I love that you’ve been posting more daily outfits! They’re so inspirational and lovely. Second, I’ve started tracking and photographing (sometimes) my outfits when I’m feeling particularly spiffy. Soo much fun, and I can’t wait until I’ve done it long enough to look back and see evolution.
    9. Exams are almost here…which means they’re almost over! So doom is impending, but freedom and Christmas break are also on the horizon!! I’ve been blasting the Christmas carols to remind myself that I will get through exams, and even if I fail them all, I’ll still survive to wake up to another Christmas morning.
    10. Mango!
    11. The Beatles “Across the Universe”
    12. The daily crossword.
    13. Murder mysteries!!
    14. My roomie :) She’s great.

    <3 Aurelie · Dec 3, 09:27 PM · #
  28. i’m near minneapolis, and i have to agree: bffs there are the best! my best friend just move there from here and although it was sad, i’m happy to have yet another reason to go there!

    also great:
writing college papers while drinking champagne — much more tolerable.

on a bad day, feeling little bubbles of joy or amusement at your job that make the day so much better and make you appreciate your job that much more.

mouse ears, hello kitty ear muffs, elvis side burn sunglasses, and nail-through-the-head head bands while you’re broadcasting on stickam!

i think next time you’re in mpls, you should make your way into north dakota. visit all 50 states!

  30. I love all your enthusiasm, can I add that to my TiLT as a belated postscript?!

melissa dominic — I loved it when I was there last time!

lindsey — Hee! Yeah, my Minneapolis BFF is the aforementioned Jake. I actually don’t know him all that well but today he described us as BFFs & I was like, AWWWW! I have never been to Minneapolis before but he is aaaaalways on at me to visit so odds are extremely good I will be there early next year! ~In-depth discussions with six year olds- main topics being; “why you should make sure you’re wearing really good quality boots if you’re walking across a volcano that’s about to explode” and “what type of vegetable would you want to be?... if you could be a vegetable”.

    ~Drawing pencils.

    ~Strawberries.

~Finally joining Twitter- so addictive! and fun!

    ~Lemon Sorbet.

~The wild lavender growing outside my window.

~Little Miss Sunshine – always makes me smile.

  32. Ooh so excited, I’m seeing Kanye and Nas on Sunday :D. That unicorn necklace is one off the craftiest ideas I’ve seen for someone that says she’s not usually very crafty! And Bri, that is possibly the most tragic and beautiful TILT I’ve ever read…
My TILT is over at my blog but includes eating healthily (is that a word?), french pastries (which sort of contradicts the healthy eating thing, but everything in moderation ;P) and of course, coffee…

  33. wo0o!

+ I love looking forward to things, too. Tomorrow night is one of my friend’s birthday dinner! The end of this semester is coming up! 2 more weeks to go! And one of my best friends is coming to visit for a week right after that. i can’t wait!

+ I love my mom. She made me dinner. It had avocado in it. I love me some avocados.

+ The leather riding boots I got from eBay for $19.99. Buying used is so much better than buying cheap shit. Ugh, never again will I purchase low-quality shoes.

    + Seeing the light. . . . . Getting epiphanies…Etc.

+ The white Christmas lights I put up in my room! They’re so bright and pretty! I think I need more.

+ Hanson….11 years later they still own! I’m not ashamed to like them!

    + Wearing all black.

+ Getting into the Christmas spirit….Kind of. Christmas decorations, music, wishlists, gift-planning (even though I probably won’t give many gifts), etc…

+ “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms is my favorite Christmas song. It’s so classic.

+ And any rendition of “O Holy NIght” owns my soul. The NSYINC version is probably my favorite. But seriously any version.. Even South Park.

+ iCiNG! I am still working on the love letter to this site and to Gala Darling. But yeah, I don’t know what I’d be doing now or where I’d be without this site for the past almost two years….Wow.

& as far as that Beyonce song (which I constantly have stuck in my head – the video is fun to watch!) – I interpreted it differently. I heard it as she wanted more out of her old relationship & now that she’s moved on after 3 years, he wants her back & is jealous when he sees her out & about with anyone else.

  37. Being 20: I had my birthday on Tuesday, so I’m no longer a teenager, oh dear! I also got some awesome presents…

Bones Season 3: One of my friends sends me the new season every year just so we can discuss it. Quelle cute!

Hell’s Kitchen (the DS game): Yes, I did buy it, and it is HILARIOUS.

The library: I’d forgotten how much fun new books can be!

My new Oroton Swarovski crystal purse: Words fail me.

Looking like a princess (literally) on my birthday: I dressed up in an awesome dress made from 1960s kimono fabric, silver grecian sandals, and a sparkly 1950s costume jewellery tiara. In a word; awesome.

  41. Secret Santa! Me and some friends are planning a secret santa dealie this year, and I’m UBER excited! I already know who I’m giving a gift to and I can’t wait to go shopping!

Working at Starbucks It’s such a delight! I get free coffee during my shift, and 30% discounts on everything when I’m not working. Plus the making coffee and interacting with all the interesting people is lovely too!

Getting new books I just went to the library today and picked up God Bless you, Dr. Kevorkian by Kurt Vonnegut and (one I’ve already read) Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging by Louise Rennison…it’s one of my favorites :]

Getting my blog started I’ve procrastinated it for about 2 weeks, but I finally started it today. Gala, if you actually read this comment, would you mind going to check it out? 42. Today I am sick, so I am really searching for that silver lining . . !

I had to cancel five classes, but how awesome is it that I actually have five classes to cancel?

People are being very sympathetic, which is nice.

Lying in bed listening to my man put the boys through their before-school paces was pretty funny.

My lovely friend Monica has whisked my kids away after school so I can focus on my feeling-like-death agenda.

    And also:

    Shiny pink piggy bank love!

My clever children – one is a sensational artist, the other is a fantastic dancer.

My sis-in-law is having her first baby any minute now. Wheee!

Robbie Williams doing ‘Wonderwall’. God I love Robbie. What happened to him . . ?

    This from Seth Godin:
    Why be generous?
Why go out of your way for someone who can’t possibly pay you back?
I hope the answer is obvious. It is to me. The benefit is in the fact that they can’t pay you back. The opportunity to instruct or assist when you can gain nothing in return is priceless. It creates meaning and momentum and structure.

  61. ♠ Dramatically changing the layout on CarmineMag.com, it feels so good to have a brighter more open layout. I am in love with it.
♠ Changing all of the related social networking site’s layouts to match the new site layout.
♠ Having amazing artists offer their services to the cause.
♠ Little Britain, which is an amazing show and SO funny. I love it far too much.
♠ “Amazing” by Kanye West, “If U Seek Amy” by Britney Spears, “Arab Money” by Busta Rhymes (So offensive, but such a good/ridiculous song), “Swing” by Savage (from Knocked Up, soooo good)
♠ My hair is getting longer, this pleases me more than I can possibly explain.
♠ Explaining crazy things that have happened to me to someone and having them completely understand why I am upset about said events. Cryptic, but it’s really good to have a stranger say, “Yeah, you’re not crazy. That’s fucked up.”
♠ My Staedtler Finliner Triplus pens, I use them for everything I love them. My planner is color coded in pink and orange this week. I’m trying to work out a system before I break in my ’09 planner.
♠ “Mint Motherfucking Oreo Milkshake” Good times with good friends, cracking up in the Carl’s Jr drive through, tasty burgers, cranberry sauce, orange/strawberry/peach smoothies, etc.
♠ New Shoes! I finally got a new pair of shoes, they’re still skater shoes but I love them. Black vans with little leg bone Xs on them. Super cute.
♠ Well done smut, I have to be honest. ;)

  65. That’s a fabulous necklace, Gala. Giving me ideas …

    This week I love:

+ Getting my essay FINISHED finally!!
+ And my project nearly done!
    + Gottfried Helnwein photos:
    www.helnwein.com/werke/photo/t…
+ All my books arriving for my next essay, on goth aesthetics. Apparently I have to read them though, not actually just sit and stroke the books and look at the pictures.
+ Starting long-overdue uni work and finding that I actually really enjoy doing it. Sounds nerdy but it’s actually fabulous realising that I enjoy doing creative work again, especially when I’ve given up the money-making options to do this!
    + Francis Bacon exhibition
+ My new leopard-print jacket that I got on eBay – 3/4 bracelet sleeves and hip length.
+ And elbow-length black leather gloves to wear with it! Although I’m so tempted to get another colour as well, except I haven’t seen any I like yet!
+ thinking about my adorable secret crush – gets me through the day!!
    + morning coffee! (need)
+ my new red felt pencilcase – it’s so nice I’m not sure I can bear to use it yet. Have got it with my red moleskine diary for 2009, just need some red pencils to match!!
    +My long blue wig.
That’s enough to keep me happy when it rains …

  68. “Green Light” is an amazing song! John Legend seems to just overflow with talent, and Andre 3000’s verse at the end of the song cracks me up. Every. Single. Time. =D “I’m just style-freein’... freestyling, which I seldom do!”

    My TiLT:

    + Mix CDs

    + Getting a full night’s sleep

+ Trying new flavors of Vitamin Water

+ My super secret writing project – It’s slow, but it’s definitely going. =D I’m super excited to see how it’s going to turn out. It might, it might not, but I’ve finally realized it’s the journey that makes it exciting… and the journey looks promising. =)

+ Musicals – I’ve basically been going through all the cast recordings of the musicals I enjoy, and after not listening to one for a really long time, it feels like I’m rediscovering the emotion poured into the music all over again.

+ Operation Humble Kanye – I’ve recently (well, in the last couple of months) discovered the wonder that is Stephen Colbert, whose plan is to beat Kanye’s record sales by having his album be bought more time than Kanye’s. I don’t know what’s funnier… Stephen Colbert challenging Kanye, Kanye’s Twitter, (“Who the fuck is Stephen Colbert), or that Stephen Colbert actually did beat him. =P

+ The iCiNG Days of Christmas!

    2. ... my date! I’m going with my schoolmate, who has been important for me for a long time. Lately we’ve been fighting a lot so I hope that by the end of the weekend we work things out

    3. Green Christmas (http://www.greenchristmas.ee)! It’s a music festival taking place in Rakvere, which is actually the town where my parents live. I’ve attended there every winter since I was 13 or so. This year I’m taking part as a volunteer so it hopefully is extra nice.

    4. As GC is on Friday and Saturday I had to reschedule one exam at school and luckily it’s possible!

    5. PÖFF (http://2008.poff.ee)! PÖFF is a film festival taking place all over Estonia (full name: Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival). I’m helping as a volunteer in Tartu (actually at the moment I am in the cinema, sharing information for everyone who’s interested here)

    6. The fact that year 2008 is over soon. Have done lots of things, many of them with positive result, but for me the beginning of a new year means that my schedule is slightly less overplanned. Haven’t had more than 4 hours of sleep every night for a month…

    7. It’s december! Christmas coming up and also I can open every morning a new window of my “Christmas calendar” (not sure about the English word for it). Also, Gala’s guide for (Christmas) presents helps me a lot. Thank you, Gala!

  81. I’m so ridiculously stressed over finals and two deaths in the families of people I care about and getting sick… TiLT for sanity?
Knowing that the end is in sight is helping me get through all of this. I have two problem sets, a presentation, two exams, a take home exam, and a 10 page paper. That’s it. And I have 12 days to do all that. It’s totally possible.
Cuddling with my best friends. The other night one of my closest friends was really upset about something, and when she called I was with another close friend of ours. So the two of us showed up in her room and ended up plopped on her bed on either side of her, cuddling and talking and (eventually, once she was calmed down) giggling. Wonderful.
Looking forward to everything coming up. I’m going to Israel this winter! I’ve been cast in the Vagina Monologues again! I’m actually taking a class with one of my best friends next semester! Etc!

Conditional by Tracy Chapman – happened to hear it playing in a shop on Saturday and have been in love ever since.

Caen – I have really fallen for this place, I can’t wait to show my friends around when they come to visit next week. It has a lovely mix of old and new and the food is amazing :D

My new laptop – It’s so cute and small! And it lets me listen to Radio 4, which is even better!

Cowards – not people who are cowards, they’re a small sketch group who are really funny.

my boyfriend – it’s almost 10 weeks since I’ve seen him and I’m soooo excited for when I go home! He’s going to be waiting for me on the platform in the style of a 1940s film :D Shame I’ll have too much luggage to run and jump into his arms :)

I’m looking forward to so much, but I’m just going to post the short list here.

~ Christmas!! I can’t wait to see my family again (even though Thanksgiving just passed) and stuffing my face with candies and cupcakes and my aunt’s infamous broccoli and cheese casserole. Omg! Its amazing!!

~ Having this semester of school end so that I can relax and snuggle up with my dog and cups of hot chocolate watching the Christmas TV specials without worrying about the homework that I’ll have to do later. Snuggles > homework all the time.

~ Moving out of my hometown/ getting to decorate my new place!!!! I can’t wait to go. I’m already planning how I’m going to decorate and what to buy. I can’t totally understand what you’re feeling, Gala! The planning is sooo much fun and the best part of a big move. I’ll also be super glad when everything is finally packed away in boxes. Packing takes forever.

  89. YAY!!!! TILT! I love you. I so look forward to you. I am adding up my list and is as follows;

    1. The Decemberist – I found your cd at the library and I am in love with you. I love you.

    2. Coffee – I am so lucky to work at a place that has it for free. I don’t have to buy it somewhere else.

    3. Kate Nash – On her Made of Bricks cd, the nicest thing. I dedicate it to my secret library crush. “ I wish that we could see if we could be something “

    4. Finding out that someone I admire and look up to is proud of me for not giving up when I had so many chances to quit.

    5. Sonia Naverrete – She is my coworker. She is an amazing friend and a great source of information. I am so lucky she is on my “team”. She is a world of knowledge and is a great listener and is patient and just all around, perfect. Thank you, Sonia for all that you do. You inspire me to be a better worker and friend. Thank you for all the times I cried, laughed and pouted. I am thankful everyday that you are here. I am proud to call you my friend.

Here you all are. As far as my secret library crush, it’s still a crush.

Going on 7 months…whew! *my kitty hiding behind shower curtain every time I go in the bathroom, and purring super loud. Cracks me up. *My sore behind from starting horseback riding lessons! Only took until I was 29…what was I waiting for?!? *my jcrew order with a day-glo orange tshirt and super comfy cords that I can get away with wearing to work : ) *xmas eve coming up! *taking over the family group photo taking from my grandfather who passed away. 91. — Friends! A good friend is coming to stay with my roommate and me for the weekend. There should be lots of good times, including the dinner party we’re hosting on Friday night with the whole crew. So glad to have a bunch of our college friends together again.

    — My little Christmas tree! I bought my first real Christmas tree last night. It’s about 5 feet tall, and looks very sweet with lights and my vintage glass ornaments.

—Bob’s Doughnuts. This doughnut shop is down the street from me, and their apple fritters are pure heaven. HEAVEN.

—Getting my apartment to look like a decent home…3 1/2 months after moving in! We built a bookcase this weekend, hung some new art…now I just need to build my desk. It’s finally coming together!

—Inspiration. I keep all my inspiring images here: missmandy.tumblr.com .

—Swedish interior design. So beautiful and simple.

  95. Can I just say that your gift ohmibod is amazing!? So many people would feel to embarassed to give that out.

The things I love today are:

Las Vegas nightlife!!! I went to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving break and I had an amazing time. It was everything that I needed from taking a break to learning more about myself. Who would have thought I would learn something on a trip to Vegas? lol.

My skin! I have been on a medication since July for my use to be bad skin and it is working wonders. I am so happy about the way it looks right now and all the progress. I feel such a confidence boost.

My attitude about life. I am a really positive person and I am so glad that I am determined to stay this way. Many people I know would prefer to be negative and see life as one long hard cycle. I think the economy has some people going to…Although I try to encourage them to think better, I cannot change anyone. I am very grateful for my experiences and the fact that all of them has brought out the amazingness in me.

Looking forward to the future. I want to do so many things in this lifetime and right now I am on that path! Weeee!!! A few people around me seem to think that I am doing too much but hey…you never know when your last day may be. Carpe diem (seize the day!!!)

Taking it easy! It is finals time and in the past years I would totally stress myself out. Now I am realizing (maybe because I graduate in May) that it is not as serious as I think it is. If I need a break, I take that break. I have to be easy on myself especially if others are not. :)

Well as you may be able to tell there is a lot of negativity coming my way but I am determined to keep things light and positive. Thanks for the inspiration Gala. Love you sunny outfit photos! Happy days.

  108. I’m a day late, but that’s alright. a TiLF is just as good.

+That it is friday. Yeah, that always makes me happy.

+My friends, goofy, silly, retarded, etc. And so fun to be around.

+My nails. My friend lent me this metallic electric blue nail polish that is the most fabulous thing in existance.

+Let It Rock by Kevin Rudolf. It’s a fun song to groove to.

+Christmas songs. They’re one of my favourite part of the season. I’ve had Sleigh Ride stuck in my head all week.

+The fact that my English teacher gave me an essay on my favorite song and what it means to me. Easiest essay ever.

+Learning new, wonderful, [sometimes disgusting] things every day.

    +Life, in general.
