Things I Love This Thursday:
-Planning Vacations. I’m going to be going to LA next month, to visit my girl friends who is temporarily moving out there. And I’m going to Sacramento in May for a close friend’s birthday.
-Art Commissions. I commissioned a piece from one of my favorite artists, Tegan Coddington, and she finished it earlier this week! It looks amazing!!! I’m going to be getting it as a tattoo in the next couple months.
-Fresh Hair Color. I redyed my hair a couple days ago. It’s pink and blue in the front and brown everywhere else. Super fun!
-Taking Photos. I get to take photos for a new band in my area. I took one set for them the other day, at a recording studio here in Chicago. Tomorrow I get to attend their band practice with my girl.

*SHOPPING SPREEEE! I bought a dress for graduation, job interview outfits, skinny jeans on sale for $9.99, lots of jewelry (including an owl necklace), tights (including fishnets), a teal striped t-shirt, lingerie (My first officially), etc.
*Zooey Deschanel’s music.
*Lunch with a girlfriend biweekly, bitching about bad classes, eating sushi, and hugs.
*Mixing up the weekend routine—my boyfriend & I invited a mutual friend to spend the weekend with us and it was a lot of fun and helped to shake things up. He’d never been to my town before, which was cool!
*MOVING & TRIPS!- my family moved recently to somewhere warm and I’m excited for them, I am going traveling after graduation for a few months to visit friends, family, and then moving in with my boyfriend in a new state!
*SKYPE! It is soo much fun! I love video conferencing with my mom and friends.
*Gin and Tonics. No explanation needed.

*2009 so far – seriously this year has been awesome so far!
*Making a conscious effort to be more positive and upbeat about things. :) It’s really paying off and I’m feeling so much happier in general.

Things I love Thursday:
-Finally getting to clean the hosue in peace and quiet (and by quiet, I mean with awesome music playing)
-Making oversized chocolate chip cookies in between vaccuming.
-Knowing that I get to see my Dad today, even if it is in a hospital.
-Knowing that my Dad gets to come home on Saturday morning from the hospital.
-Knowing that my Dad will come home on Saturday to a dozen really awesome looking cupcakes, and will actually be able to eat them because he won’t be in pain.
-Letting the kitties run to and fo out the back door.
-Knowing how jam-packed with awesome my weekend will be!

Bacon & eggs. I mean, really. Yum.
Teaching dance. Four weeks ago I set up five new classes in 2 different disciplines, and I am finally getting a handle on it all.
Flight of the Conchords. They are so ridiculously appealing.
Cold-weather layering. I’m just itching to break out the full hat/gloves/scarf/boots ensemble, but I am restraining myself to knee-socks and a giant cardi. It’s not quite that cold yet.
Snug-boots. Daylight Savings is still going (. . . !) and as a result it’s about 6 degrees at 8.30am on crossing patrol duty. I borrowed my son’s snug-boots (his name for his uggs) and I am very pleased I did.
My friend weeded my rose garden/kikuyu jungle. AMAZING.
man, i haven’t done tilt in WAY too long! time to stop moping!
- rocky horror picture show, which i just rediscovered after WAY too long. – musicals in general. i’m on to cabaret now. – finding out that there’s a sing-a-long-a rocky horror show on in manchester on halloween and making (ridiculously early) but fabulous plans! – my NEW WHITE WIG which i am IN LOVE WITH! – fancy underwear (why didn’t i get this obsession sooner?) i’m collecting suspender belts like nobody’s business. – spending sprees at the MAC counter, even if they do put me in to severe amounts of debt and i can’t afford to go out until i get paid again… – feeling inspired to do some art again, finally!
Am i the only one who was disturbed by the canabalism thing? In no way is that something i think people should love or have on a list full of positivity when it’s the complete opposite.. i really don’t get it.

My choreographer makes my life happier, because he’s just so much fun, and he actually likes to hang out with us and have fun with us. Woo!
Parties this weekend that I’m pretty excited to go to. I haven’t 100% decided if I’m going to the cast party for this dance show, because it’s off campus, but I have another party to go to instead that I’m also pumped for.
Art projects! I made paper mache masks yesterday for a show I’m costuming. It was fun.

Yeah, even though it’s Friday, I still loves these Thursday things:
- reading your TILT, Miss G. – purchasing my first hoop (I may end up going the DIY route though). – Loving my body imperfections and all. – Haunt’s Turkish Cocoa body scrub. Chocolate yumminess on my skin. – GZA’s “Pro Tools”. My boyfriend gave me his extra copy and I haven’t listened to it, but I love the GZA. – NYC. Hopefully I’ll get to go back to my 2nd home this summer with the boy, who is a native New Yorker (the Bronx). You’ve got to love that accent.
My boy and I recently got hooked on ANTM and were able to download every past season and had a insane couple of weeks were we watched 6-7 episodes a day :) LOL we both totally loved it. We are watching the current season and when we heard “keep it cute or keep it on mute” we just about died….it is now both our favorite quote and we try using it a few times each day!! LOL
My boy also found this picture and sent it to me. He now calls me his drama llama…because I have been known to be a bit of a drama queen.
