Vlog 007
[ 8 March 2007 ]
The Rooftop Cinema had a showing of The Royal Tenenbaums tonight… so I dressed up as Margot & went along. (I did my best, I don’t own a tennis dress.)
Super-love & cupcakes,

i’ve already asked you how to re-do my wardrobe and found the advice fantastic so i have another question for you. i’ve recently had a change of heart and do not want to be the girl that spends $300 on a dress. so i plan to re-do my wardrobe from thirft stores, and sirens which is basically the same as forever 21. any tips on how to go through used clothing and still look fabulous?
love.
how DO you have the patience to not only TAKE 200 stills, but to then put them together so like htat?
OMG – i admire your skills.
gorgeous vlog. love the music!
Thanks cuties!
Allie — In terms of thrift stores, I would suggest looking at the video I took of Nicole Jenkins from Circa Vintage — http://galadarling.com/article/icing-presents-nicole-jenkins-of-circa-vintage
She’s talking about really old clothing but the same principles apply to newer vintage. Also I don’t know anything about Forever 21 (or its equivalent), but I would warn you that usually, you get what you pay for.
oh wow, how lovely! :D
royal tenenbaums is my favourite movie, and I had actually planned to dress as margot this week sometime! you pulled it off stunningly!
:( I wish there was something like the rooftop cinema near where I live, it seems like a really neat experience.
Thank you madame! Yeah, the eye makeup was a little severe! It was extremely short notice, I wish I owned some Lacoste tennis dresses, haha.
I love the rooftop cinema!! I celebrated my birthday there on the day, it was the best cause Pirates of the Carribean was showing, and who wouldn’t want some Johnny on their birthday?!
And I have to agree with everyone above, you did a smashing job dressing up as Margot! Love it :) I especially like the music – may I enquire as to which track it is?
xox
Aw, that is great Simone! My birthday’s in September — no Rooftop Cinema for me! I have decided I’m going to have a pink glittery cake (or cupcakes) though, so I’m sure I’ll cope!
The music is from a group called Beefcake, the track is called Gv-003-2003 & it’s from the album Viande De Gateau. Beefcake are greeeeatttt!
Great video! I’m so impressed!
hey, i was just browsing through and saw this video. i loves it, but i was wondering how you managed to get the photos into a video. im just asking cause it could greatly help an art project i am doing.
thanks xox
p.s. i am addicted to this place!!
Kathleen — I used iMovie HD (an Apple program) & just did it with their media importing option. Though I think if I did it again, I would probably select all the photos in Finder & then just drag them into the program. I don’t know if this is helpful!! xx
