Yesterday I picked up a very special package from the post office — a big bag of treats from We Love Colors! I do love them so, especially those splash stockings! I feel like I just jumped in a watercolour puddle. I had always eyed up their website & wanted to order legwear from them, but living in Australia (like with almost all online shopping), I was always hesitant to do it because of the cost of shipping.
But the RAD news is that We Love Colors is offering FREE AIR MAIL for orders over $20 to the Antipodes (Australia & New Zealand!) if you use the coupon code runway! The offer is good up until September 1st, but you should hop to it, or you’ll probably forget! Additionally, if you sometimes have trouble finding stockings which fit you, their plus-sized tights are suitable for girls up to 170kg (375lb)!
Sheesh, I know it’s cold down there right now — why don’t you layer some super-soft microfiber tights (in violet or turquoise or fuchsia) with a pair of diamond-net fishnets (in white or orchid pink or neon yellow)? Or wear a pair of diamond tights in royal blue with your warmest little black dress? Or tuck a splash colour tank leotard into a high-waisted leather miniskirt? Yum!

Socks (knee highs, particularly) are my absolute favourite way to mix up an ordinary outfit. So many options: colours, patterns, different textured fibres, sparkles – they are a fabulous accessory!

Kate — I love ankle socks with heels. LOVE. I just don’t really own any ankle socks so I never do it!
Limespark — I haven’t worn any for a while really, or I just stick to plain black. I have a HUGE collection of them but they’re annoying to travel with, so they’re languishing in a suitcase somewhere in New Zealand… I miss my diamondnet fishnets especially, though. Serious contenders for sexiest legwear of all time.
Even though it’s still summer, I think my first investment when the weather starts to cool will be some colorful socks. Hopefully, they’ll allow me to extend the usefulness of my summer wardrobe without breaking the budget we’ve set for renovating the new house. Thanks for the idea, Gala.
I’ve always itched to buy their tights— because even when I was at my smallest tights were just never “big” enough (in length or width!—I hate the crotch being mid-way down my thighs). I especially love that their leotards fit gals up to 250lbs. That’s fantastic!
I LOVE tights in all shapes, patterns, and colours. I live up north in Canada, so tights are a must to keep my legs warm during the winter. These look like really good quality and…........I am part of the commonwealth.
Ooh pretty! They have some gorgeous stuff, and it’s pretty cold here in the UK too, some nice coloured tights would look great with the big stompy boots I’m going to have to wear tomorrow for fear of having to wade through a flooded car park like I did today!

Parfait timing!! I’ve been in the mood for bright beautiful tights since it’s gotten chilly here. Ha ha also they seem so perfect for packing adorable suitcases, best accessory ever when space is cramped.
Tights and socks with peep-toe heels make my heart melt in a second, mmmm!

I too love ankle socks with heels, but don’t really know where to go to get just the right kind of ankle sock. Looking for something a little more delicate than the thick, casual stuff they have at Target.
The little peak-a-boo of pink on the white striped tights you can see with your peep toe boots is adorable.

The trick is to skimp on the clothing part by going with a cute matchy undies/camisole combo, and then rugging your toes up to the max. Sleeping with so many blankets you can hardly move could help too..

I have an ongoing love affair with hosiery!!! i rarely show my legs in actual fact, as I hate their shape :( but i still wear fun stockings/socks/ garterbelts because they make me happy :)
