Worried About International Dress-Up Day?

[ 16 March 2007 ]

Tomorrow is International Dress-Up Day #002! The theme is ‘dress up as your favourite character’.

I know that some of you are probably still fretting over your costume, but I just thought I’d give you a nudge in the right direction.

This is what I wore for Hallowe’en last year. (I was Salvador Dali, of course!) I had just moved into my new apartment so I had no clothes or props, but I refused to do nothing for Hallowe’en. Behold, my costume! The main parts are a moustache painted on with eyeliner & a M.A.C. Cosmetics makeup brush. My point is, you don’t have to do anything amazingly flamboyant, the whole idea is just that you participate & have a good time.

I went to the video store in this get-up. It was fantastic. Don’t be afraid!

I look forward to seeing what you do tomorrow, kids!

Love letters & feather headdresses,

  1. Hmmn did you realise you posted that at exactly 11:11? Is it just me but I always seem to see 11:11 so I decided it was a good luck time. Now you will see 11:11 too! Trust me, its contagious.

ps: How do we send you dress up day photos?

  3. Graaaah I always work on these days! (well on the ones so far – boo!) And my work attire is SCRUBS – not exciting. However, I may dress up a bit after work and make pictures. We shall see.

  4. I always have to work on those days too :( and unfortunately I work at a clothing store, meaning I have to wear the clothes from the store all the time.
but I’m definately going to dress up, even if its just to take a few pictures and then change back into my work clothes. :D I love this international dress up day thing! thanks for thinking of it!

my boything (who is very much not ghetto – he’s pale, blonde & wears a lot of rococo-style overcoats) recently went to a fancy dress party with “WILL SMITH” written on his hand in marker.

Jess — No, I haven’t. A couple of years ago I went to an exhibition of his in London, which was pretty cool. My Paris time has thus far consisted of about three days, hee!
