Incredibly excellent and fanciful jewellery
[ 20 December 2006 ]
I love all this stuff, I guess primarily because it reminds me of the clunky, bizarre, neon (see also: AWESOME) jewellery I wore as a child. ...Which I have not quite renounced. It’s amazing what you can find if you simply enter “<appealing thing> <type of jewellery>” into Google. (Try it. & if you find anything good, let me know!)
In no particular order:

Brass Octopus by Amy Shutt. $10
Mad bargain.

Octopus by Ach Ach Liebling. $34
I think this is the same one as above, just an extra $24? Does anyone know?

Baby Octopus by Little Ghost Designs. $23

Love/Hate Lucite Cameo Bracelet by Tarina Tarantino. $88

Crystal Stretch Skull Ring by Tarina Tarantino. $45
Normally I am not a huge fan of the skull motif, but when it’s done in sparkly pink, I just lose all reason.

Queen Alice Mod Ring by Tarina Tarantino. $63

Russian Nouveau Crystal Tiara by Tarina Tarantino. $500
(I can’t decide whether this is the best thing I have ever seen or the most horrific, but since there is a picture of Paris Hilton wearing it, I am going to err on the side of horrific. It is a great type of vulgarity, though.)

Skull Mod Ring by Tarina Tarantino. $63
Really love this.

Macho Man Necklace by Ach Ach Liebling. $24
Super-cool. These are actually old charms from the 70s, you can pick from a range of names.

Fatima Handmade Glass Necklace from Haba. $37.99
Okay, this is actually children’s jewellery. I’m sure it will fit with some coercion.

Carousel Trinket Box. $45
...What?! All this stuff has to go somewhere, you know!
Super-love & cupcakes,

The Octopus, like the Swallow and the Airplane that you now see everywhere, is a charm you can purchase for about 2 dollars, put on a chain, and sell for 60.
Happy Capitalism, everyone!
Vanda – I hate that.
