Carousel: Why Women Cheat, The Guilt Of Wanting More, And The Secret To Small Talk
Happy October! Oh my goodness. As this post goes live, I am having breakfast in Tulum on the first day of my retreat with Veronica Varlow in Tulum, the beginning of a week of absolute magic in the jungle by the ocean. It is so good and so juicy. We spent four days here first, relaxing and falling into the rhythm of this amazing place. We feel peaceful and chill, our tans are looking muy bien, and we’re ready to pass on lots of love to our badass crew.

Ask Polly: I’m Scared I’ll Destroy My Marriage! This is gooooooood.
In a good marriage, you can share the universe of feeling and sensation and ideas and beliefs and memories that live inside of you without engulfing the other person completely. You hold your own reality and your own strength separate from your wife’s reality and strength, so that when she sees nothing but darkness and needs some sunshine, you can show up and shine. But you can also hear and accept her darkness without trying to forcibly fix it. You can listen to her feelings and accept them without becoming anxious or angry. You can also share your fears and your darkness, knowing that she can take it in without letting it take over her whole world. You can be incredibly honest, every day, and share the full breadth of your interior world with someone else without expecting them to put your emotional experience before their own every step of the way.
