It’s baaaa-ack! (By which I mean, I dragged my old white faux fur coat from the closet & have been wearing it mercilessly!)

I was (& in fact, am still) wearing…

White/silver faux fur coat (super-warm, I’ll never need another)

Black wool dress by Rodarte (!!! Bought from a designer consignment shop a couple of weeks ago, & PERFECT)
Black crystal belt from Forever 21 (it’s meant to be worn around your hips so I actually just tied it in a knot at the back of my outfit)
Black & white vertically-striped stockings (from The Sock Man)
Sam Edelman Zoe booties
& the BEST BIT: Crystal-spiked harnesses from Indecorous Taste!

Let’s take a closer look at those bad boys. These are the real reason for dragging my tripod, camera, two lenses, remote control, et al, out in public this morning.

Divoon. I received these on Friday & have been freaking out over them ever since (read: trying them on with every pair of shoes I own). My current most-worn shoes are my Doc Marten Regina boots, & here’s what they look like wrapped around ’em.

When the box arrived, I was shocked at how heavy it was, & when I pulled the harnesses out, I thought, ‘Oh my god, how will I ever wear these?!’ They are made with HEAVY-DUTY leather, hardware & spikes! Thankfully though, once you wrap them around your tootsies, you barely even notice. Kind of like a pair of New Rock platform boots I once owned. They weigh a lot but not when you’re walking in them.

Sometimes it helps to think of ridiculous outfits, uncomfortable shoes & oversized hats as like an alternative form of exercise. Do try it!!!

SO AWESOME! I showed them to my boyfriend & he thought they were ridiculous, but they are just One Of Those Things Which Only Girls Like &/Or Understand. I’m down with that. I LOVE them!

Also, a guy was staring confused at them this morning & tripped over the pavement. Truth!

It’s kinda funny — up close they look like Mad Max mated with the Ice Queen, but from far away, you barely even notice them. It’s almost subtle. ALMOST.

I pulled my coat from my shoulders (WHO LOVES YOU?!) so you could see some of the detail in this dress. J’adore. Also, warm & comfortable! Ding ding ding, we have a winner!
