Hi, I am totally obsessed with stockings & suspender belts!
This is what I wore to meet my friend for drinks & filthy conversations.

Unfortunatley I don’t quite have the pins for stocking and suspender belts, though I totally oogle at whoever I happen to see wearing them when the weather get’s cold enough. I am so so so so excited for winter to be rolling around again (I’m in B-ADelaide, SA!), I adore lots of layering and wooley scarves and lovely thick tights and berets and fake beauty spots!
Gala I have been having a secret love afair with your hair ever since you got your beautiful extensions. If I wasn’t so skint I would be having beautiful long lucious blue locks cascading down my back, but alas … I’m SO BROKE (damn student loans and the quest for knowledge!)

Your hair is ah-mazing! The blue gives a nice nuance, too. I could never wear it though as my face is too boy-ish.

I bought a hula hoop after a few classes (silver, sparkly with unicorns! hehe… intermediate level, a little wider and a little heavier…)
I was just wondering if you felt you got a decent cardio work out after hooping as well or just in your abs? Because I’m on break this week so my instructor’s not there and I don’t feel like I’m working my heart, but it could be I’m just not adjusting to the new hoop well yet (lots of dropping and such!)

Don’t suppose there’s any chance of you posting photos that properly show this suspender belt? Obviously your choice as to whether or not you are wearing it at the time.
I have found it difficult to find ones that are both effective and cute. Seem to mostly be flimsy lingerie crap or frumpy as hell. Still the best one I own is the one that was made by me for fashion school, but never mass produced as I promised.
I bloody hate pantyhose.
I LOVE this whole outfit! I wish I had your sense of style. Though, actually, I think I do have a great sense of style…I just don’t think I have the money and/or wherewithal to make it work for me and my body type (aka – large). I would have to revamp my WHOLE closet, such as it is, and I don’t have the time or the dollars… :(

MJ Fabulous — Don’t have the pins my butt! You should wear them anyway. Really, unless you’re taking your clothes off, no one will even know you’re wearing them. You guys would have had no idea if I hadn’t lifted my skirt in that picture! Sexy lingerie is about YOU, making YOU feel good, & having it be your little secret! So stop making excuses & get your hands on. You will feel… well… fabulous ;D

Sarah — I love it too! The shirt combines three of my favourite things: electric blue, carousels & New York. Haha! & it was only $8!
Becky — They are so super-comfortable, my favourite boots by far. I got them on Zappos!
Mary — If you do anything for long enough you’ll get a cardio workout! I usually hoop for an hour or two at a time, which definitely works up a sweat. But the type of hoop you’re using will influence how much of a workout you get. Heavier ones work you harder, whereas lighter ones are better for doing tricks. Does this help?!
roz — It’s just the way the extensions have been cut, I think! I don’t put any product in my hair except for a conditioning treatment called Biosilk.

Caitlin — I did! I actually found them in Macy’s in NYC in 2006, & they were quite expensive for what they are, but I’m so glad I bought them. They were originally gold but most of the gold has worn off so they’re now kind of… gold & silver… Which is not so great but I cope!

witnit — I think that would require me showing more of my underwear than I’m comfortable doing on the internet! But we’ll see how we go. The belt is my new jam so I’m going to be wearing a lot in the next little while. I’ve actually had it for years, I bought it from a vintage shop in Auckland & it was still in its packaging. It’s pretty simple, just an elasticated band with a black ruffle over the top & a little red bow on the front, & then four straps.
Teresa — My whole outfit wouldn’t cost a lot. The shirt was about $8, the skirt maybe $40, suspender belt about $15, etc. Know what I mean? Style is not restricted to people with lots of money to chuck around! In fact, I think some of the most stylish people are the ones who can’t afford to go out & buy a new wardrobe every season, because they’re forced to be more inventive & creative!

Heh. I wasn’t expecting you to do photos in your undies (unless you wanted), more hoping for a photo of the belt off you. Just in case it came across as a lewd suggestion! Description is definitely sufficient for my purposes.
Interesting – the elasticated band ones are the ones I tend to stay away from because I don’t feel like they’re very secure. Want something with a nice deep band, snug fit, not too much stretch.
Of course, my stockings are probably under a lot more stress than yours and consequently need more support.
