God, he terrifies me. You know how some people have a deep-rooted irrational fear of clowns? Richard Simmons is my irrational fear. I will admit, however, that now I want a blinged out tank with my name on it!

He helped me lose weight and feel good about myself when I was a sad, fat, middle schooler. My mom bought me three of his DVDs and we did them together every day after school. One of my favorite memories is Richard looking at the screen and shouting, “Sparkle! Are you going to sparkle today?” And Mom and I would shout back, “YES RICHARD!”
Qgertie me too! I would do a whole week of his tapes in one day just to see the colours change on the outfits as his whole crew would wear a different colour every day…. Along with super high g strings and lots of shiny leggings and headbands! Hehe
Haha, I love him. Especially that his old license plate number was “YRU-FAT.” :D
My mom said that back when he was on soap operas, she was at the mall and saw him on the next floor wearing a bright green jumpsuit with watermelon slices all over it. xD

he’s so amazing and fun! i have the original sweatin’ to the oldies, but it’s a bit too low-impact for me. can anyone recommend a more intense richard simmons workout dvd? there are just so many!

This is unrelated and I’m not sure if you know already, but the Icing site isn’t working properly (at least on Mozilla..haven’t checked Internet Explorer). And it’s not just my computer’s fault. The wording and images have been all scattered and funky for days :(

aww, you can’t help but love richard simmons. he’s so smiley & neurotically happy. one day i was complaining about how i had no one to exercise with, so my mom pulled out an 80’s richard simmons tape she still had. she put it on & instantly morphed into his sidekick, dragged me off the couch and yelled “COME ON LET’S DO IT TOGETHER!!” we huffed and puffed and surprisingly i got a darn good workout! cheers, richard.
Dude, I would just like to say that I love R.S. and always have. I get all uppity and defensive when people mock him. That man has changed thousands of peoples lives! And he’s not afraid to be himself! And totally open and sincere about what’s important to him!
Also, you’d have to be dead on the inside not to enjoy doing his workout tapes. Pony-size, if you will.

i love his quirks and he’s got some an amazing heart. i really can’t say anything bad about him. LOVE.
gosh. he is awesome. but when i read this i freaked out thinking he died or something while i was out of town…phew. i remember laughing @ him b/c he was so bright and sparklely and cheerfull. he rocks because he is who he is. and everyone knows him. how cool is that?! haters be gone! i want the same freedom to be kooky as Richard Simmons! and he STILL looks good for his age. wowza.
RICHARD SIMMONS. I’m late to the party. When I was a very small child around 1979-1981, he was on TV all the time, and I adored him… not as much as Spock or Big Bird, but quite a bit. In the time since I’ve gotten older, his hyperness sometimes gets to me. He seems like such a dear that it’s all right.
