I just wanted to let you all know that the Fafi for MAC Cosmetics collection has been released in the United States. (YAY!) It won’t be available in the United Kingdom or Australia until the start of March, but anyone who wants to get in quick can now do so online! (There’s also free shipping within the U.S. if you use the code ‘MACFAFI’ at checkout.)

I LOVE this range so much. Not just the make-up, but the accessories too! After all, who could say no to a Fafi t-shirt with striped arms? Or a silk scarf printed with Fafi characters? I have been waiting for it for ages & it is not disappointing.

  3. So that’s what that was! I was coming out of a movie last night, and there was some big event at the MAC store below the theater. There were lots of girls outside dressed like the ones in your picture. It all makes sense now.

    I’ll have to go back and check it out when I don’t have a bunch of disinterested boys in tow.

  17. MAC is amazing…I can’t wait to check this collection out! It’s so fun and upbeat. I think Strawbaby looks like a fun color. MAC comes up with the best names for their colors…I think naming cosmetic colors would be the best job in creation.

    P.s I just found out my local mall is getting a Lush store in May. I am pretty excited to finally experience it for myself since I hear so many good things about it!!

  22. they look lovely.. gala i think it would be really cool if you had time to do another tutorial on how to put makeup on!! there are heaps of ‘how to’s’ on youtube but i would rather a gala one with beautiful crazy colours and stuff. :)

    ugh. people just want to buy into that image but buying a new eyeliner isnt going to make you look like a cartoon…

  26. Anna — Oof, yes, the Heatherette collection is even better. Though it’s very unfortunate how all those images got leaked (someone stole samples, I think, & is now peddling them on Ebay). Very uncool.

    Kerry — Yes, it’s beautiful! I love it. I saw her painting it, it was amazing.

    laura — Well, nothing is going to make anyone look like a cartoon! I don’t think anyone thinks that if they buy this or that lipstick that they’re suddenly going to look like a Fafinette. I just like the colours :>

  27. I’ve been waiting for Fafi for what seems like ages! I’m taking Valentine’s Day off of work — I have an appointment in the morning, then an appointment later with my sweetie, but between the two, I’m definitely going to MAC to play with Fafi. With Barbie last year, I bought a lot of the eyeshadows and no lip products, but this time it’s all about the Fafi lipsticks and glosses for me. (And the Heatherette collection, when it comes out…)

  29. I’ve seen some pictures of the line that leaked out on the ‘net, and I was incredibly excited for them.
    But, recently, as I’ve seen some pictures of the paint-pots, I’ve been kind of disappointed in the hues. I thought they would be more vibrant, especially the purple one.
    Oh well, I still am dashing over to MAC tomorrow, and checking it out myself. :D

  30. I’m awaiting my lipstick. I was going to get fun N sexy, but i all my lip products are that shade on pink, except russian red. so I’m getting flash n dash instead. I want that blue paint pot though, it’s hot.

    w/ the heatherette on ebay, there was a media conference for it and everyone who attended got the whole collection for free, and now somebody is just selling it on ebay. :(
    BUT – don’t you think, with the pink heathertte packaging, the lipstick looks like a viabrator :P

  31. Oh, I am SUCH a sucker for celeb-designer-collaborations! Loeffler Randall for Target, the Cruz sisters for Mango, and now THIS—love it! I’m still thrilling over the little adorable MAC brush set I got at the holidays (the gold-handled ones in the little purse case), so I’m not sure I can allow myself more yet…but there’s always tomorrow :)
