Femme Fatales

More pictures, more gorgeous girls!
NoirMuse:
“The fella and I had so much fun with this! We took some pictures from our second floor appartment and then went to the antique store and the river to take some more pics. The Film Noir theme was a great opportunity to use my vintage had collection and seamed stockings.”
Kara:

Hoyan:
“I like to call this picture: ‘Waiting in the Office of a Very Messy P.I.’”

Jess:

I was wondering, does seeing this kind of thing impact on your wardrobe at all? Does it make you want to dress in a more mysterious manner, does it help inspire you?

I usually do – but the thing is, as it gets colder and colder, I get lazier and lazier (which is why I’m looking for brightly coloured woolen stockings – interestingness for minimal effort!). So, at least once a month, I have a reason to climb out of my pink pyjamas and make the effort! But you can’t pry my hot water bottle out of my hands …
I find these very inspiring!
This I.D.U.D. has definitely confirmed that I need to buy some pencil skirts.
Ugh, for sure it does! I wish I had dressed for this, I have the perfect outfit—everything froma hat to patent pumps and a cigarette holder. Next time I’m dressing for sure, I had so much fun as Dorian Gray.
kind of, yes.
i love the aesthetic, but…
living in california makes me lean towards a little bit more freeeeeer kind of clothing though.
it’s hard to be so glamourous in a place where you can be carefree, colorful, and beautiful. :)
i like to incorporate pieces of this theme into my own unique look (LOOOOVE the kind of shoes in noirmuse’s pictures…)
seeing all the pictures is really inspiring. i’ve been trying to bring this look into my every day style, even if it’s just touches here and there.
I wish I could have participated this time, but it was far too hot to wear dark colours or stockings D;
I am totally not a mysterious person! Dressing mysteriously would be completely undermined by my exuberance. What I LOVED about this IDUD assignment was the chance to play a role in a photo.
PS: omg ALL fantastic photos!! (See? Exuberant, that’s me.)
oh wow these are faaaantastic! I cant wait to get out there and get some great photos! todays the day.. you can expect our photos this evening some time.. hope its not too late :S
As Nadine said, this theme was not at all in my style and that’s what was so fun about it. And yes, thanks to this I have thought of more outfits incorporating some noir elements into my wardrobe :)
I love the idea of incorporating this style into my wardrobe but it’s just not me! I have an amazing pencil skirt which used to be my mums which I must get round to wearing! But in all (embarrassing) honesty the fact that I have actually started to wear lipstick most days is glamorous enough for me! You all look amazing though! I love the dress that hoyan is wearing! It’s beautiful. x x x x
I love your outfit at the river! Great picture. I just started a shopping blog. It’s really new so I’d love you to check it out at blog.like.com
Oh I’m so glad this is inspiring you all in different ways! ‘Film noir’ is not my style at all, as you all probably know, but it was fantastic fun to lurk around alleyways & look serious, haha.
This theme is fantastic! I love the noir aesthetic. Everyone’s done such an amazing job with their photos.
Fucking hell – Jess is hot!!!
