Whitening toothpaste... Because, I swear, it has saved my life so many times. It really does remove stains from ANYTHING, including hot pink hair dye off polished wooden floors. Yow! Oh, any brand will do, just slap it on nice & thick, leave it for a bit (sometimes 5 minutes will do it, but when I’m really freaked out I leave it on for an hour or two), then scrub it off with one of those green scratchy pad things you use for scouring dishes. Good as new mate, right as rain love!

You’re in an astrological phase when you can and should reconfigure anything that doesn’t suit your needs or accommodate your spirit, whether it’s the language you use, the environments you hang out in, or the processes you’re working on.
Travel anticipation & when I say travel, I mean travel. Let’s review. Las Vegas from Monday the 31st of August to Wednesday the 2nd of September. Auckland, New Zealand (HOLLA!) from the 3rd of September to… well… I’m not sure. I will be there a week or so. Back to New York somewhere around my birthday (13th September!), & London from the 16th of September to the 23rd. Then I am going to come back to New York & sleep for a zillion years. Sounds good. But I am excited about seeing all my friends (& parents!) in Auckland, being dazzled by the madness of Las Vegas, & experiencing London Fashion Week for the very first time. I haven’t left New York in 3 months! It will be good fun to mix it up.

I just got back from Amsterdam, so that is the top of my love list this week! Such a beautiful city, amazing to get lost in, and the, erh, laws on illicit drugs are particularly interesting!
& Renewing my love for graffiti – seeing and doing – after all that there is in Amsterdam, it’s everywhere and some of it is so creative. Like the little wooden cut-out guys sat on clouds!
& Dark chocolate. I cannot get enough of dark chocolate. I’ve been working my way through as many different kinds as possible to find the perfect, vegan, dark chocolate. Current favourite is the Fairtrade Divine stuff.
& Umberto Eco! I found Foucault’s Pendulum in a charity shop for cheap and devoured it. Amazing book, really funny as well as historically (in)accurate!

I’m liking the tip on the whitening toothpaste, I used to leave purple stains everywhere when I dyed my hair, which was part of the reason I stopped dying it purple and switched to a more conventional colour available in chemical dye form!
The Secret Diary of a Call Girl was an awesome series and I’ve been meaning to get hold of some Red Bull energy shots for completeness – I think I’ve tried just about every other type available, energy shots are definitely my poison of choice right now!

yep. needed this today! feeling pretty down with a cold, lady time having started, and having to deal with an 18 year old deciding to do all she can on a daily basis to hook up with my fiance. It was funny at first, but now…not so much. weeeeeee…. lol
-Finally deciding to use Google’s offerings, such as the calendar, tasks, and the documents.
-Thunderstorms all night.
-New jobs, new phones, new things in general.

-Just now noticing that there is a lovely somewhat hidden staircase to a second floor of Forever 21. Who knew? It feels like being accepted into the cool club that so few are allowed into, haha.
-Cleaning off the lint trap in the dryer.
-Late night “myspace photo shoots”, or otherwise taking pictures of yourself until your camera hates you.
-Fitting into pants I haven’t been able to squeeze into for years thanks to pilates and Carmen Electra’s Striptease videos, haha.
-Silly conversations with that boy of mine
-Shouting that one line from Moulin Rouge “The greatest thing you will ever learn, is to love, and be loved in return”, at the top of your lungs, and receiving some interesting stares, but also realizing how true the statement really is.
-Daydreaming about weddings. Seriously, my life may be complete if Tim Burton were to direct my wedding. lol

-The realization that I really can pull off red lipstick!

I’ve missed out on a couple of TiLTs, because I’ve been so stressed and so busy, but I’m really glad to have the time to do it this week! This week I love:
-My grandfather being out of the High Dependency Unit! He’s still ill, and still in hospital, but he’s on a normal ward now, rather than intensive care, and he’s not hooked up to a thousand wires and moniters now, just his oxygen mask (respiratory ward).
-Honey performing surprisingly well in her first ever ridden competition
-My new necklace which came in the post today (and it came with a Haribo Maoam sweetie, too!)
-Getting some of the enrolment information from my new university
-Herbal tea (I have to seriously cut down on my normal tea, as my anaemia still isn’t getting better, and the tannins in ‘normal’ tea block the absorption of iron, hence replacing it with herbal. My favourite is fennel.)
-The rats playing with the dog, and all six of them (5 rats, one dog) loving it
-Little butterfly flickers of nerves about the new semester, but knowing it’s definitely what I want

Organization I just finished organizing my makeup drawer and desk using these super, super cute organizers from Home Sense. It is totally lame how much this thrills, me but they are SO PRETTY.
Good Feng Shui In theme with the organization and cleaning, I have rearranged my furniture to get a fresh perspective and give my room better feng shui. I totally love the new layout, as I can see outside from my desk and my bed feels super cozy. Also, the energy is…....flowing?
Notebooks I’ve recently come back from a 3 month vacation- and realized that I cam back with 10 NOTEBOOKS. I think I am begginning to develop a problem, but I am a writer and we simple must write!
Irish Dance OMG, I am so excited I get to do Irish dance this year. I will be taking a two hour class on Tuesday nights and I am super psyched!!! I love dance, and this is an awesome way to get in touch with my heritage (celtic) plus and awesome workout and I love activities!
School Supply Shopping I have always loved school supply shopping- the new notebooks, cool pencils, geometry sets and shiny textbooks. Even better, as I get to store them in a really cool new black tote bag this year. LOVE

Spending lots of time perusing Target, tin boxes painted white with a black cross to be used as a first-aid kit, white bathrooms, baby pink, taking a photo and trying lots of different effects with it, going to the beach around sunset, hip toddler clothing, & denim leggings.

oh wow! long time since i’ve done one of these… i’m such a slacker! haha! anyways… *THRIFT STORES! I just found a pair of doc martins in my size, barely worn, for fifteen dollars. I am so so so stoked! *Friends… well, duh. haha. *My island. Lots of great friends, living on my own in a motorhome has made for the best summer so far! *Goats. My mom has three goats, and I love them. They’re so friendly! *Ardene – This crazy store that sells ridiculously cheap jewelery and accessories, all at prices like 3/$10 or 2/$15… I just picked up some cute leg warmers, over the knee socks (clearly meant for 12 year olds, they’re a bit tight! haha) and a really cute scarf. Loooove it. *Sunshineeee… as usual. *A really lovely guy! I get this odd feeling that he’s a significant amount older than me, but we always hang out and make awesome dinners and have tonnes of fun.
- Filming the pilot of a new TV show that will hopefully be optioned by a network. – Meeting people whose work I admire and realizing they’re normal people (albeit awesome, nice, talented people). – Riding my bike in the rain. – My adorable kitten, naughty though she may be, and the way she wants to be near me so much she trips me every time I take a step. – Finally being free from my dramatic ex-roommate/ex-best friend. – Being fully moved out of my old apartment and having furniture (!!!) – Feeling beautiful. – Being told I did a good job. – Reaffirming the direction I want my life to go in. – Sleep. – New curtains for the bedroom. – Being in love.

Gala have you ever seen Pet Shop Boys perform live? I saw them last night at VFest, (I was there for NIN, who were awesome as always) in Toronto and wasn’t expecting much of anything from some 80’s band I knew little to nothing about but they were awesome! Their show was totally over the top, completely ridiculous, colourful and superfun. And I thought you might like it.
