Photographs from Ridin’ Dirty Face, an amazing site I found yesterday. I thought some of you might find these pictures stylistically inspiring…

To be dirty-faced & free, wearing jewellery from people long since passed, secret bonds formed & held tight. Holes in stockings & knots in hair, riding in an empty boxcar, heading toward the dream. A messy life filled with the promise of sky.
Super-love & cupcakes,

How To Wear A Scarf

i found it today and i fall in love!
for the style, but also, as a photographer, for the perfection of the composition, the light and the colors.
i don’t have the right words ( english isn’t my first language ) to say how i love them. they make me breathless.
I know, they’re amazing. Whoever takes them has an incredible eye. I wonder if there is much photoshopping etc. involved.
i have seen those last two pictures in a magazine called look look! i torn one out and put it on my wall! and the rest are awesome as well.
love it!!
So pretty to look at but i’m such a clean freak i just want to go into the pictures and tidy up and that’s wrong of me i know.
pretty!
In the second picture I just want to nudge past her and say “Excuse me” and start folding and straightening things.
Other than that automatic anal reaction- these pictures are really eye catching and interesting.
i would feel so perfectly happy and at home with the girl in her room in the first two pictures. her and i could drink absinthe and smoke cigarettes out of long, stylish holders.
also, that brindled puppy looks so comfortable, yet so sad. its master must be playing a really depressing song…or just playing really terribly.
thanks for sharing these beautiful images.
i saw these pictures the other day and fell in love. i especially love the surrounding environment (of the ones inside), the rooms seem dirty and old but yet they made them beautiful, as well as their clothing and messy attire, it all looks so beautiful and free and “in the moment” so in the moment that one cannot be bothered to comb their hair. love it!
beautiful
derelicte!
it’s all a bit zoolander for me.
Would you believe, I haven’t even seen that!
Hmmn do you think it takes just as much effort to look like that as it does to look sleek and co-ordinated. I bet that last chic spends a bit of time back-combing..
I love the room in the 1st two though.. reminds me of some antique dealers study or old hermits lair in a fairy-tale.
Oh lightbulb that room reminds me of The Labyrinth when she goes back to her bedroom with all her treasures and the old bag lady with all the clutter on her back..
the pictures are an accurate representation of my town. Everyone in Humboldt county dresses like that. n_n
