I really love this! Particularly because, in addition to being extremely creative, she’s encouraging us to step away from her industry and be stylish without its help. That takes a certain, special kind of person! :)
Lauren — I didn’t know that! I remember trying to write with a fountain pen when I was about 10 & failing miserably, I’ve never really tried again since!
Oh Gala, fountain pens pwn biros and rollerballs so hard you don’t even know.
After years of biros, going back to fountain pens is like sending your writing hand to heaven – you don’t have to press as hard so you can write faster and longer before your hand hurts.
[Also if you have one of those refill things they’re more environmentally friendly than throwaway pens and cartridges coz you can buy a glass (and therefore recyclable) bottle of ink and top up from that.]
Thank lord, my mind wasn’t playing dirty tricks on me, it IS a winged willy! bahahaha. awesome.
Fountain pens + left handed (and dodgey pen grip) = smudgey! I avoid!
awesome! i love vivienne westwood! xo & thanks! wee!
I like this immensely, especially the bit about handkerchief knickers and fabric as cloaks. Definitely going to try a fabric cloak!
On that subject, old long skirts make nice capes..
great idea!
What I love most about this is the two-tone ink.
Ahhh, there’s a reason she’s a legend.
Nadine — It’s amazing, right?! I want two-tone ink!
Everything about this makes my heart go swoon.
This made me laugh, because I used to do the kerchief knickers thing when I was a kid! Good times, good times.
it’s like i have deja vu or something… i just saw this on some other blog!! talk about great minds thinking alike!! ;)

I adore that list! Fab ideas and what a lovely way to present them as well.
Ummm… is that a flying willy on the right upper side though? ;)
Aimee — I think so! Hahah.
Im glad Im not the only one who thought that was a willy with wings!
Tie on frills for skirts – ah, that’s the most awesome thing ever!! This has made my day!!
I have yet to manage to read all of this. Between the two-tne ink and her awesome handwriting I keep getting sidetracked with the pretty!
I love her penmanship! So frilly and crisp and I don’t know, just FAB!
psssst… the two tone ink is because she wrote it with a fountain pen! They lay down ink darker on some strokes, and lighter on others.
I fully endorse fountain pens!

the little drawing in the corner looks like a penis with wings… but that might just be me….

Her handwriting is gorgeous! Love her choice of ink colour as well.
Reinforces why she is my favorite designer. She’s pretty amazing.
Rachel loved the ideas in this list.
