iCiNG Manifesto
Super-size it!

I recently discovered Wordle, where you can create an image formed from clusters of words. It’s super cool — quite customisable & really fun to play around with.

I used a selection of words from the “about iCiNG” page to create the image above. I set it as my desktop background so I can look at it & be reminded of what iCiNG is all about, & what I’m pushing for. Then I got to thinking about the concept of a personal manifesto. If you were going to make a Wordle image that summed up all the attributes you admired — & the kind of person you wanted to be — what would it look like?

I’d love to see what you come up with! Make one & then paste the link in the comments!

    It makes what I do seem so beautiful when it’s boiled down like that…rather than the usual words I see my pages described as ‘creepy’ or ‘eerie’.

    It seems I need some help.
    I’ve created one for a friend of mine that needs a bit of inspiration,
    but I want to email it to her or print it out.
    How did you save it so that it was just an image and not a link or a Java applet?
    That way she could put it on her desktop background as well? Thanks so much. Please help! :]

  32. Stephanie – When you’re viewing the image, press the button on your keyboard that says something like “Print Screen / SysRq”, then open up a new Paint document, right click and paste. You just took a screenshot of the image! I hope that helps! (That’s how I saved the image, anyway) xo

  33. i was thinking the same thing once i saw wordle. it would be great to be placed on an inspiration board! i made one with a mixture of things which make me now and would like to keep and also things and characteristics i hope to obtain and feel as i continue to grow.

  38. fantastic…it’s addictive…this will be making appearance in lot of things i do…creative work proposals…for kids..etc…i’m still word building so i haven’t posted…

    i must say for organizational purposes and easy access i created a folder labelled GALA in my favourites to dump a site or two that you referred…can i say cup runneth over…i have sooo many sites in this gala folder…keep them coming…and of course…your site is a pleasure to peruse daily…great stuff, THANKS!

  41. Mine is from the text of my final paper of my high school career. The paper itself is pretty acerbic and cynical (and god I love my teacher for allowing me to do it that way) so I’m not gonna post it here, but I think this pretty well sums up my high school experience.

    I’m just starting a self transformation with a bunch of my friends on YouTube and this will be a great project for all of us!
