Last Wednesday, I did a photoshoot for Inked magazine. It was so much fun! I met their photo editor, Josh, & photographer, Ysa, outside my apartment & we walked over to Tompkins Square Park to take some pictures.

So, let’s just cut to the chase. Aren’t those guys without their shirts on the BEST?! So amazing!

There’s a jungle gym in Tompkins Square Park, & there is always some weird dude gang loitering around it, doing strange exercises & grunting. While we were taking these pictures, these guys came over — no shirts in sight — & asked if they could pose with me. Of course, we said YES!

I think they are all about 15 years old!

I emailed my parents that photo & my dad replied,

“Did you tell them your father has a body like that?”

Hahaha!!! Oh Papa Darling, you slay me!

I am totally in love with this wall. Josh (the photo editor) suggested it — quelle genius! The colour & texture are wonderful. It’s actually a wall which people use to play handball!

I bought this dress as part of Betsey Johnson’s buy-one-get-one-free sale, & it is so perfect & comfortable! Dear cotton, I love you. The dress even has pockets! If I was writing a report card for this dress, I would give it an A+. Go to the head of the class!

It was such a delight to work with Ysa, she is adorable, sweet & mega-talented. She made me feel really comfortable & I think it shows. It’s so great to work with people who you feel really WANT you to look your best. That’s one of my favourite things about New York City — you’re constantly meeting people who are really, really good at what they do.

These pictures make me love my bob even more! I feel like it frames my face so well.

Hopefully you can’t tell from the pictures, but my extensions are getting a bit manky! We’re taking them out on Tuesday, letting my hair rest for a day & then adding some more. I’m tempted to keep them long for a week or so & then going back for the chop. I honestly feel like this is the best hairstyle I have had in a really long time.

The pictures, as well as an accompanying interview, will be in the September issue of Inked magazine (which should come out mid-August). I can’t wait to see! I’ll scan it in when I have it, for those of you in other countries who might not be able to get their grubby little mitts on it!
