Continental Darling & Mystery Adventures!
Greetings from 30,000 feet!
…& you know what? I’m not alone! I’m actually here with Kelly (aka Miss Glamourai—damn girl, if you don’t know, now you know!); we are totally sprawled out across an entire row! Row 21 is OURS–I have the left side, she has the right. Tray-tables deployed, MacBooks balanced in front of us… It’s a real blogger holiday! (Pro tip: fly on Superbowl Sunday! Empty planes for everyone!)
I snuck around terminal 3 of JFK this afternoon & shot some images of my outfit for your viewing pleasure! Terminal 3 is not too glam. What you don’t see in these photos are the pigeons roosting on top of walls, bird poo splattered on walls & errant feathers. BIZARRE!
I’m wearing…
A necklace that was my birthday present from Mike two (!!!) years ago–but it’s hidden under my sweater!
Helmut Lang racerback maxi-dress
Le Petit Petit Heartbreaker sweater; LOVE IT; I also have their Yes cropped tee & I wear it CONSTANTLY!
Knit hat from Forever 21… Yes, I am obsessed, thanks for asking!
Vertical striped stockings from The Sock Man in St Mark’s Place
Rick Owens wedge boots. This is actually the first time I’ve worn them. Flying in impractical shoes? DON’T MIND IF I DO!
Sparkle & Fade faux fur jacket from Urban Outfitters
It was almost impossible to photograph, but this dress has a big slit up the back, so you can see the vertical stripes when I walk…
Helloooooo!
This is my idea of a perfect plane outfit. The dress is long & slinky & comfortable, the sweatshirt is lightweight but cozy, & the hat keeps you from looking a complete urchin when you disembark at the other end. It also keeps your noggin warm in case you’re on one of those terrible planes they keep at sub-Arctic temperatures!
Oh, Clone tool, you wicked mistress.
Today is the last day of my cleanse, & while it’s exciting that I can now go back to eating “regular” food, I don’t really want to! I just spent half an hour roaming the airport for appropriate snacks, & am proud to say I didn’t give in to the Snickers, Wendy’s, Starbucks, etc. that are dotted all over the place! I ended up with a bottle of water & some unsalted cashews. (I’m happy with that!)
I plan to hold onto the positive eating habits I’ve developed over this last month, because as well as making me feel good physically, I also feel so much happier! I’ll be doing a big update on the Clean Program–& exactly what changes I’ve undergone throughout–in the next few days, so stay tuned!
Off we go… We are so excited to land, check into our hotel & start exploring! I’ll be back tomorrow to let you know where we are & what, exactly, we’re up to!
